Romney: 'I'm a Normal Person. I Have Emotions'
December 17, 2007 5:40 PM
ABC News' Matt Stuart Reports: Former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., suggested Monday the reason he was not getting the endorsements of some papers was because his conservativism doesn't jive with the "political philosophy" of liberal editorial boards.
Speaking with reporters in Londonderry, New Hampshire, Romney noted Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was endorsed over the weekend by the Boston Globe, but said, "there are certain journals by virtue of their political philosophy that I would not expect their endorsement."
Romney also echoed former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., when asked specifically about the Des Moines Register endorsing McCain, dismissing it saying, "ultimately, the endorsement of the people is what counts."
When asked Monday why he got emotional on NBC's Meet the Press Sunday when he talked about the fact that African Americans were not allowed to be members of the Mormon church until 1978, Romney said, "I'm a normal person, I have emotions."
Romney said his own family were for civil rights, but did not explicitly condemn the past actions of his church.

Mitt Romney's father , George Romney, marched with a great Lincolin Republican, Martin Luther King Jr., in the 1960's.
One thing the Romney's aren't and that is bigots.
It appears Romney's religion is more of an issue for America's corrupt liberal MSM wolfpack press..........really.

when romney stands in front of the country and talks about how his affiliation with a group(mormon church)shows his values, then the values of that group come under scrutiny. if that scrutiny shows disfavorably, then that disfavor must transfer onto romney by his own proclaimed association.
it's easy to say liberal msm wolfpack, except it's a fallacy. the majority of media is huge media that is overwhelmingly conservative. no more lies!
