ABC News' Jan Simmonds reports:  In Largo, FL. today, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said he was 100 percent healthy and that his doctor would put out a statement regarding his health "very shortly."

"I am feeling great, I am feeling terrific. I feel fully recovered," Giuliani told the media during a press availability following a roundtable with Florida veterans.

Later in the day, the campaign issued  a statement from Dr. Valentin Fuster, the mayor's personal physician:

"I have been Rudy Giuliani's personal physician for more than seven years. I was informed late Wednesday evening that Mr. Giuliani was suffering from a significant headache and fatigue. These symptoms can be described as possibly 'flu-like.'

"As Mr. Giuliani's personal physician, I stayed in contact with the doctors at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis throughout the course of the evening.   Because of the significant headache, it was important to have as much information as possible and err on the side of caution.

"Mr. Giuliani underwent the following tests at Barnes-Jewish Hospital: CT-MRI of the brain, ultrasound of the carotid arteries, and spinal fluid evaluation. These tests all came back normal.

"Furthermore, a PSA taken within the past month was negligible or undetectable, and routine laboratory tests were normal. Upon returning to New York City, Mr. Giuliani came to me for an examination and a further test, a transesophageal echocardiogram, which was normal. I confirmed there was no change in his health status.

"Mr. Giuliani was not prescribed any medication and I recommended that he lighten his schedule only for a few days.

It is my medical opinion that Rudy Giuliani is in very good health."

Fuster is a professor of medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

Campaigning today in Florida, rather than Iowa or New Hampshire where most of his opponents spent the day, Giuliani also talked about his strategy to win the Republican nomination.

"The thing that's absolutely essential to get the nomination is to win enough primaries, to have the right number of votes. There is no one win that's essential," he said.  "If you ask me, is this (the Florida primary) really important? Of course it is. It will be really important to all of us, because this is the primary that takes place before the big primaries on Feb. 5."

Giuliani also touted what a Florida win would mean for a Republican's chances in the general election.

"You win in Florida, it says something about your ability to win a general election. All of the primaries are important, though. But this is a particularly important one," he said.

what is he hiding that it takes this long to get a statement on this? It won't matter if a doc comes out and says he could swing the English Channel, he's done.

Another pro-war neo-con Bush supporter down the tubes. His poll numbers continue to drop as more people learn about the phoney 9/11 so-called hero.
The New York Firefighters reveal that they died because of him do to the defective radios. How can anyone support this liberal who dresses in drag, romemates with gays, and is corrupt. Give us a break.

Here we go again with secrets. It must be something serious that he does not want the public to know.

Good. So Rudy is healthy. Healthy and totally corrupt and unfit for office. Good for him!

Imagine a United States:

Where powerful corporations no longer have control over our President with corporatism (fascist). Imagine a President that honestly and truly represents the interests of the People instead of the ultra rich.

Where our civil liberties and haebas corpus are restored, the Bill of Rights is respected, and the government no longer spies on citizens' phone calls, emails or torture.

Where the govt spending is reduced to where it was 10 years ago, thereby being able to cease the personal income tax on your wages so that you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Or in combination with bringing the troops home from around the world saving a trillion dollars per year and start, thereby eliminating the IRS and be able to protect our own borders instead of
the borders of other countries.

Where the creation of honest money is controlled by Congress (as per the constituion)instead of being stolen by the Federal Reserve Corporation which is owned by foreign bankers, who receive interest on money, money that they have been creating out of thin air since 1913 resulting in inflation year, after year.

Where out-of-control debt spending is halted, the 9 trillion dollar national debt is steadily reduced, and fiscal sanity is returned to Washington.

Ron Paul, a veteran who has a 20 year track record of integrity and support of the constitution, which establishes him as the only candidate who will honestly work towards this future.

Did I miss the diagnosis in the MD's statement? Since the MD is excluding all physical signs like CNS fluid infection, brain tumor or lack of blood flow to the brain the headache musta been psychosomatic.
