36 Hours: Edwards Unplugged...Literally

ABC News' Raelyn Johnson Reports: Reporters covering John Edwards' 36 hour marathon to the Iowa caucuses boarded a tour bus yesterday, ready for the long haul. Joe Trippi treated us to an afternoon rap session -- yes, he rapped. And people abandoned diet cokes for the real thing, justifying pasta dinners as fuel for the body.

But the real fuel everyone needed shortly after midnight was battery juice. Laptops, and blackberries were fading fast. Edwards is making very quick stops at campaign offices and there is not a single power cord in site. And so, it remains to be seen up to what hour people will have to pull the plug on their reporting--literally.

Despite a 2am update at a home in Creston, Iowa -- the press corps is desperate again.

Edwards always talks about America rising; his press corps is about to rise pretty soon.

Hmmm. I don't see anything about Edwards being "unplugged" anywhere in this report. All I see is a reporter whining about how the press corps is apparently unprepared for being unable to plug in their laptops. Haven't they heard of spare batteries?

If Edwards is unplugged that probably means he will soon bend down, stop and fall over. The guy has never been for real. A 36 hour marathon? Can we say gimmick? Plus now he has a THIRD position on Iraq, please, a real position on anything has never come out of this guys mouth.
