Bill Clinton Undeterred By 9/11 Hecklers
January 31, 2008 7:43 AM
ABC News' Sarah Amos Reports: Former President Bill Clinton took the phrase "on-message" to a new level in Denver yesterday, when hecklers began shouting about how September 11th was a conspiracy theory that needed further investigation.
Clinton had just begun his speech to the crowd, when a man towards the front of the crowd began shouting about re-opening the 9/11 investigation and the war in Iraq.
Watch the VIDEO HERE.
When the crowd tried to boo the man into silence, Clinton continued: "Let him talk."
The heckler's exact wording wasn't quite audible from the press risers, but the tone was apparent to everyone in the arena, including Clinton.
“Are you one of those it was an inside job guys?" the former president asked. Continuing, "Hillary agrees we should end the war, but we have heard from you now, now you hear from me. I let you be rude and interrupt me screaming at the top of your lungs. Nine-eleven was NOT an inside job, it was an Osama Bin Laden job with 19 people from Saudi Arabia, they murdered 3000 Americans and others foreigners including Muslims and we look like idiots, that the people who murdered our fellow citizens did it, when they are continuing to murder other people around the world. So we heard from you, you go away," Clinton said to the cheering crowd.
(NOTE: Former President Bill Clinton made a mistake when he cited the nationalities of the 9/11 hijackers. In fact, 15 out of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia.)
Undeterred, the heckler and his 9/11-sign waving cohorts started up a few minutes later, and Clinton decided to use this opportunity to promote his wife's record in the Senate.
"One of the reasons you ought to be for Hillary for President, since this has been brought up, is that she helped pass bi-partisan legislation in the Senate to help take care of all those firefighters and police officers who got sick because of 9/11. You talk to the victims of 9/11, the people who had a dozen surgeries just so that they could go back and their bodies could work again, and you ask them if they think it was an inside job, or whether they are glad they had a Senator like Hillary Clinton who gave them a chance to they could stand up stand start their lives over again," responded Clinton.
Turns out those were the magic words to finally silence heckler number one. He silently stormed out of the arena and Clinton, un-rattled, breezed right past the rough start, and delivered an energized speech, selling his wife to the people of Denver.
A crowd of over four thousand braved an evening deluge of snow to hear Clinton's speech at Denver University's Magness arena. While it was a far cry from the 18,000 people who gathered at the same venue earlier in the day to hear Democratic candidate Barack Obama, the energized crowd was excited to hear Clinton speak.
Clinton made only brief remarks, a departure from his more relaxed town-hall meeting style of campaign stops that were the norm in all four of the early primary states. He spoke for under 40 minutes, hitting the highlights of Hillary’s platforms on education, healthcare and the war in Iraq.
Of course, a good heckler loves to have the last word and tonight was no different. Just when the crowd had finally forgotten the earlier incident and Clinton was hitting what he called "the important reason why people should vote for Hillary," a shout was heard from the last of the 9/11 sign holders.
"How about the real investigation into 9/11?"
Clinton, clearly sick of the entire conversation exchange, "We've heard that, we heard you the first ten times." And with that the former President ended the discussion for good.

So, how about a REAL investigation into 911?
The family members are demanding it. Are they idiots, too?
Once the Mainstream stops categorizing all "doubters" as "missles, bombs, bush did it inside job" people, which will never happen, we'd be able to speak openly about the serious conflicts of interests and coverups that have occurred.
It's common sense.

"selling his wife to the people of Denver"
My God, that sounds awful. How stupid does a journalist have to be to phrase it that way?

LOL, Bill Clinton pwned a troofer. Well, he deserved it. Let the troofers go back to the grassy knoll they came from and hope they camp out and doze off in their tents singing "Kumbaya". Their heckling and conspiracy theories are getting annoying.

I wonder if ythese "hecklers" were Plants too ?

9/11 inside job conspiracy theorists aren't morons... they're Ron Paul supporters.

There has never been a real investigation of 9/11. The Family Steering Committee is still advocating for a real investigation. And Hillary hasn't done squat for the first responders. Neither has Bush or anyone else.

There are very too many unexplained inconsistancies in the 9-11 commission report, and an obvious avoidance to finding out what really happened on
Sep 11, 2001. Why for example were not the people at ground zero given their say. They saw, up close what was going on. One might wonder why B. Clinton wouldn't encourage a real and indefpendent investigation.

Bill Clinton again and again and again. It's like that scene from the Brady Bunch when Marcia gets hit in the nose. Please make it stop. Please make him go away . . . forever!

Whoever typed the transcription made an important ommission. My correction is emphasized in asterisks.
He actually says, "we look like idiots *denying* that the people who murdered our fellow citizens, did it."

Bill Clinton knows it is not an inside job. Bill knew where the people are from and who they are. He knew them when he was in office. He had no time to chase them because his involvment with Monica Lewinski was top priority for him. He was more interested in what was under the table than the intelligence papers that were on the table.
Now shamelessly he is saying he knows Hillary is the best person for the job. He didn't think Hillary was good for the job Monica was doing for him.

Why are we blaming this heckling of Bill Clinton on the Obama camp? There is no linkage whatsoever.
Bill handled these guys like a pro and good for him for staying on message.

9/11 may have not been an inside job but the planting or the hecklers in the audience sure as heck was...

Mccain,s past "Marie, the flame of florida" exotic dancer Oh!@ No Not a christian republican, McCain,s rich wife of Anhenser Busch family no mention of this but remember John Kerry rich wife?????? Did they ever let up on her ???Did Bush inhale??/ Clintons stole from the white house when they left. Ronnie got air force one no mention of this steal.

You have to ask yourself, "why do so many people question what happened on 9/11?" It's simple, the official explanation is obviously flawed and suspect. You can shout a heckler down but reality has a way of winning in the end!

Markus Nezpick if your beloved President Bush would have listen to the briefing about Osama when the power of commard was handing over to him I would bet there wouldn'nt even been a 911 to talk about.

Despite the unofficial entry of Slick Willey into the race (those of you who think that a vote for hillary is not a vote for bill are in denial), I can not cast my vote for hillary.
consider this:
if Hillary is elected into the white house that will mark the 24 yrs of our country being ran by the same two families. Bush and Clinton. I can't speak for you guys but a monarchy is as a monarchy does. It's bad enough our democracy has certainly blurred the line to a oligocracy.
I feel like no matter how obama's campaign goes barring any serious mishaps his platform is such that we should give a non W.A.S.P. a chance. Its about time a country made up of immagrants have a minority leader.
At this point I cant see how he could make our country worst...

How about the people that feel as if the government is a complete failure in every endeavor that they decide to undertake?? Instead of arguing we need to throw ALL of these bums out into the street and start over fresh with a SMALL government that was framed in the constitution. NOT one that has a "defense" department that just "misplaces" over a TRILLION dollars BEFORE 9/11. WHY GIVE THEM MORE MONEY??? THEY ARE NEVER GOING TO GET IT RIGHT, SO GET THE HELL OUT OF THE PEOPLES PERSONAL LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO UNIVERSAL ANYTHING....IT WILL BE MORE OF A MESS, MORE $2,000 DOLLAR TOILET SEATS...MORE $400 HAMMERS...MORE WASTE, MORE FRAUD.

Honest and intelligent people understand that the overwhelming preponderance of evidence indicates that the 9/11 attacks were conducted with the complicity and pre-planning of the current administration. The Clintons are a part of the same power structure, and will always stand with the co-religionists, the Bushes. To expect otherwise is folly. Similarly Obama. Similarly McCain. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here. Your children are meat for your masters.

Why are they heckling Clinton, it's the nuts who are in Washington right now that covered up whatever happened.
Building 7 imploded and the 911 commision didn't even mention it.

i'm black and i'm voting for barack not based on the color of his skin but the need for change in this country.
for years now, america has had to deal w/ the fight between liberals and conservatives, a fight that stems from the baby boomers split in the '60's which continues to this day (i've heard it called a fight between the hippies and the squares). As a gen X'er I'm sick of this fight. it is time that we work across party lines and ideology to get this country in a better position to address the challenges of the 21st century and to be bettered prepared to deal with the growing military power (China), diplomatic power (EU), and economic power (EU, China, India, Russia) of other nations and regions. we cannot be at our best if we are split. we may not agree on everything but we must work together nonetheless. the issues that are currently being discussed are the same issues that they were talking about when i first started voting in the early 90's. the 1st clinton did not resolve these issues, bush was not able to do it and i don't believe clinton will be able to do it either. its not because she is white, its not beacuse she is a woman, it is because she is part of the old way of thinking (us vs. them mentality) that must end for the interest of the country.
if HRC get the nominee, i will vote for mccain. i know he has the ability to work with others, that's why many in his party hate him so much. in the end, you must vote for the one who you believe will be the best person to put the country in a better position to for the future. i think mccain would do fine for 4 years, then in 2012 we can pass the torch to someone who is not tied to the fight between the hippies and the squares.
