ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., took the stage in a bright red suit with her daughter Chelsea and President Clinton by her side -- at the last minute victory party at the Planet Hollywood hotel in Las Vegas.

"I guess this is how the West was won!" Clinton screamed to adoring crowds.

Clinton was previously scheduled to fly to Missouri for a rally, but stuck around for the victory speech.

After complaints from Clinton, and her campaign, of voter intimidation, Clinton thanked the culinary workers who supported her today.

"I am particularly grateful for all of the members of the culinary union who stood with me today," Clinton said. "But I want to say we will all be united in November to beat the Republicans."

Clinton also thanked her husband and daughter for their support. "Today, I certainly have to thank my two greatest supporters -- my husband and my daughter." Clinton spoke only for a few minutes, and then greeted the crowd of supporters.

Wow, Huge Victory Hillary! Not!
Big deal! Nevada is a small state,
delegate-wise!
After you win a large state like
New York, California, or Florida, then you can crow!

I hope supporters of Hill and Bill are Happy, because I have never seen a more DIVISIVE couple in my entire life. When she was about to loose in NH, wanted to play the "female" card and split the women against the men. Next she goes down to SC; she divides the Blacks against the Whites. Coming out of the Nevada she wants you to know it was the White Females and Latino vote that carried her this time. SO what might I ask are you to say if you are Asian, or if you are an Indian American, oops I am sorry your vote doesn't matter because it is time to DIVIDE OVER RACE, AND GENDER PRIDE Instead of recognize that ALL Americans are suffering, and care about the economy, healthcare and education. How pathetic, I would like to serve notice on those you pulling for her BEFORE her and campaign began 40% of Americans said they would not vote for her after what I have seen if HILLARY CLINTON IS THE CHOICE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY I TOO AM VOTING McCain. At least I know I would get someone who lust for the white house wouldn't pit the whole county against each other.

Now Obama can go back to Chicago to keep prising Ronald Reagan as his hero. Oh he would be ready to deal with tech Rezko trail in Chicago where his was named already. You go Obama...now matter how many free positive press you have gotten and how many millions of dollars are you getting and you have spent; you know you cant win!

Let's see-how WAS the West won?

Big Business for support, rigged primaries and elections, campaign stumping for donations from saloon owners, forced endorsement by Chinese laborers...Hillary did it all the same way.

Where are the Obama followers tonight? why so quite? Hmm...they are probably crying or looking for someone to blame. LOL

Posted by: Mitch | Jan 19, 2008 9:40:58 PM

See how upset the Obama people get when Hillary gets the winning support. Way to go Hillary...

Posted by: Madame President | Jan 19, 2008 9:54:44 PM

And to see Obama people say that he won more delegates in Nevada is such an excuse. Just admit the fact that you lost and figure out what to do next? Is he still pumped up as he said after the IOWA victory. I guess whatever was pumped up has a puncture right now...the air is coming out.
Go HRC!!!!

Huckabee congratulated Mccain tonight. What about Obama doing the same.....

Posted by: victoria | Jan 19, 2008 10:30:02 PM

Nice concession speech, Obama.
So much for being the "leader" who can "bring us together."

Posted by: Jan | Jan 19, 2008 10:34:35 PM

I don't know what she is smoking but there will be no coming together. I will work with whatever party to ensure her loss.

And Candy I agree, which is why she will NEVER get my vote, others feel the same way. It's ironic her supporters seem to have no problem with the manner she has run her campaign. I guess they are gutter trash and people of low character just like the Clinton's.

You mean blame as in what the Clinton's have been doing? And what do you bet next weekend, they will have something to complain about and someone to blame? You have some nerve. You chumps will eat those words, if not soon - you will come November!

More and more people are tired and turned off by staged polititcians - like the answers given the other night at the deabe--Hillary's greatest weakness is how much she cares for the people. Edwards also gave a phony answer which seemed more about his compassion than a weakness. GIVE ME A BREAK! Politicians who give these contrived and phony answers are more concerned about themselves and not about you, the people. They are not trying to connect with you in any meaningful way, but trying to manipulate you -- by staged and phony answers, Washingtonian Answers.

In this era of the Greening of America, people are moving toward a more holistic way of living: organic foods and household items free of pesticides and chemicals, more effecient appliances to aid in the cleaning up of greenhouse gases among other things, solar and wind -- clean energy. However, we also want more Efficient and Cleaner Politicians. Ones we can believe in and ones we know are speaking to us, not at us, who are not trying to control and manipulate the us, the masses, for their own personal gains. That's how we get into wars by politicians who go along to get along for their OWN PERSONAL GAIN and not concerned about the degradation of what will happen to You, the Planet, and -- to the PEOPLE! I am hoping that Barack Obama will be a a different kind of candidate, the candidate of our hopes and dreams and in truth and integrity. It is hard against these forces of materialism, lies and spin.

I too, will vote Republican, if Hillary wins and I have never voted Republican. But they are no better than Republicans in how they have characterized or mischaracterized Obama.

I am really concerned about the comment Ms. Clinto made about how the west was won. Isn't this a reference to the extermination of the Native Americans?

Posted by: Andrea | Jan 20, 2008 10:14:55 AM

I'm glad we will rid of all these "closet" republicans once hillary win. Any one who would vote for one democratic and switch to republicans on a dime has no place in our progressive struggle. We don't need groupies following cult personalities, we need true belivers

Posted by: zam | Jan 20, 2008 1:03:42 PM

Go hillary!!!

Posted by: zam | Jan 20, 2008 1:04:45 PM

I can't believe people are getting so excited over this election! Dennis Kucinich has been left out of debates and off ballots unfairly over and over again. New Hampshire used voting machines from Diebold proven to be hackable prior to the election. The boxes used to transport ballots ended up with slits in them. What next? Wow, people open your eyes! The election process is not fair. Those wealthiest Americans are afraid of losing it. They either own or are owned by the media, the oil companies, the insurance companies, and our government. If you continue to be blind to this they will own you, too!

Bob23 says: "I hope the Ice Queen doesn't win."
____________________

Hi Bob. Your post raises an interesting issue. Can we call Obama "Super Fly," "Huggy Bear" or "Darth Vadar" or are nicknames like the "Ice Queen" only allowed to describe white candidates?

If Obama is elected, can we ever use the words “fairy tale” again, or any other words that might suggest he doesn’t know what he’s doing or what he’s talking about or that he might be full of BS, because that might be shouted down as racially insensitive? That’s a serious issue, regardless of Obama’s politics, if political speech is going to be curtailed about something as important as the performance in office of the president of the United States, because someone’s feelings might supposedly get hurt.

I’m guessing anything remotely resembling any of the delightful liberal remarks about Bush's chimpy appearance, intelligence, preparedness for office and performance in the last seven years would pretty much be out with the black prince Obama.

Can you imagine four years of an Obama adminstration's racial slicing and dicing? What a mess. No way.
