Clinton Says She Can Control Her Husband
January 30, 2008 8:19 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Senator Hillary Clinton, in an interview with ABC News' Cynthia McFadden for ABC News' Nightline, was asked about President Clinton’s controversial comments about race and Senator Obama in the past weeks. Clinton apologized for her husband.
“I think whatever he said which was certainly never intended to cause any kind of offense to anyone,” Clinton said, “if it did give offenses then I take responsibility and I’m sorry about that.”
"Can you control him?" asked McFadden.
“Oh of course,” Clinton replied.
For more, watch Senator Hillary Clinton's interview on ABC News' Nightline tonight.

Geez guys, stop beating this dead horse. MOVE ON. I know it's hard to fathom, but the voters want to hear about the ISSUES.. not these nonsensical things like whether Hill can control Bill and whether Obama snubed Clinton. God. The news should be renamed "Politics Entertainment Tonight".

You wouldn't vote for someone solely because of how the media acts? Now that's a sophisticated way to participate in our democracy.

Hillary already proved how much she can control Bill during his eight years in the White House.

Hillary control Bill? LOL . . . since when? Seriously, when did she ever?
ROTFLOL

While I certainly agree that the media spends a lot of time on non-events (e.g. "The Snub"), I think this is a point worth considering.
Because the Clinton campaign machine is so well oiled, the out of control Bill situation can come about for two reasons:
1) Hillary is unable to control her husband.
2) He was deployed strategically.
Both speak to her leadership style and abilities. Bill is definitely a Type A, intelligent, ego-centric individual. If the answer is (1), then how can Hillary control similar individuals, including Bill, in her administration? These types of people tend to end up in high-level government positions. On the other hand, if the answer is (2), how far is Hillary willing to go to win? Are we witnessing the rebirth of triangulation? Is this a good thing? Does it move our country forward?
Why did Hillary cry in NH? Did Barack snub Hillary? These are questions that don't help our decision for who should be the next President. Examining a person's leadership style when they are running for the highest leadership position in the nation seems salient to me.

Don't you get it? Hillary and her cheating husband are the issue. We do not want the Oval Office further sullied.

Yes, of course she can control her husband. Remember, she said she knew how much the Slickster loved her after the Lewinsky affair, and always loved her. So I guess she was actually controlling him when he had the affairs with Monica, Gennifer Flowers, Sally Perdue, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, etc., etc., and when he was assaulting Juanita Broderick, Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey.
Watch the Hillarybad videos on YouTube for more info. Not to mention all the other videos on YouTube documenting the mendacity of Billary.

Hillary went on at least 2 TV shows, ABC and FOX, to say her line "I held out my hand in unity ,,,," in the hopes of getting the vote for poor little me effect that she's good at exploiting. Sorry, many of us aren't falling for it.
I think Obama has been quite gentlemanly towards both Clintons...they're trying to goad him into anger..they're doing everything they can to stick the knife in and it isn't working and that's what makes Bills face red and makes Hillary resort to trying to get people to feel sorry for her. These people don't care about anything but themselves and getting more power. Interestingly, some people are now on to them, finally.
They don't deserve to get back in the White House.

Me thinks that the question of controlling Bill has been answered time and time again. A RESOUNDING NO. Bill can't even control Bill.

bill aint the problem hillliary is
i remember when some of her secret
service agents told the story that she
treated them like her personal servants

Yep, Hillary can control Bill. Look how well she controlled him with Monica.
Bill lied then; he's lying now.
Hillary lied then; she's lying now.

The fact anyone even has to ask the question to hillary is sad enough. Not even the syncophants in the press will give them a pass on this one. Just sad.

How do you "control" someone when you don't ever know where they are or what they're doing?

People get over the Clintons. The people do not want a co-presidency. Look at how well it worked before.
Expierence? How long would any of you stay on a operating table if you found out your doctor's spouse was operating?
Obama has been in elected positions longer that Hillary. Why didn't Hillary run for senate in Arkansa? Because she would never win.
What cabinet positions will Lewenski, Flowers, Willey, and Bill's other countless toys get. They have as much expierence as Hillary. All played with Bill.
And sorry once Bill lied to the american people he lost me forever.

Dear Hillary,
You can't even keep your husband's attention...it is no surprise you can't keep the Democrat's attention either.
Sincerely,
Monica "Lips" Lewinsky

Hil will say whatever the polls dictate, and Bill is willing to take a fall for her this episode. I'm no Obama fan, but it is clear that the Clinton's cynical style of playing the media and public opinion would be disastrous for the nation at this critical point.
Basically, if you must vote Democrat, at least don't vote Hil. Let's show these unprinciple, completely self-absorbed people the door.

How race and sex are used to obscure the personality and achievements of people is an important feature of American life that must be understood to be overcome.
In Obama's campaign, it is not a creation of the media, rather, it has been manipulated by the media, particularly CNN, to encourage the American public to judge him by his race instead of the content of his character.
Recently CNN analyzed the results in South Carolina by saying that Obama was helped by Edward's presence in the campaign because it split the white vote. To infer that white people vote for white people, even though the results in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina disproved that.
Why do they try to cast everything in black and white? Because they know that repetition of an accepted proposition will subtly prompt people to do what they've always done.
I am grateful for this discussion because it just my bring about the truth that will set us free and end our national division.
