ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY., addressed reporters announcing that she will travel to Florida on Tuesday -despite the state having no delegates. "I am going to try to seat the Florida delegates. I have said that the people of Florida deserve to be represented in the process of picking a president for the democratic party." Clinton said, "I want the voters in Florida to know that I hear them."

The questioning quickly turned to race, President Clinton, and the negativity injected into the campaign. Clinton was asked if she thought Sen. Barack Obama is the Jesse Jackson of 2008. She did not answer the question, and instead spoke about what she views as the great things President Clinton has done in his life. "Bill Clinton is somebody who brought out country together. He understands what it takes to repair the breaches and hopefully mend the divides that have stalked us for so long and his record speaks to that."

Clinton continued, "I think Americans from every community know what his life's work has been and they really know his heart."

Speaking about race in the injection of race into this campaign "I believe we should take a deep breath. Senator Obama and I and our staffs our our surrogates our supporters should recognize we are running to change our country. I am reaching out to voters in every community."

When asked about the overall tone of negativity, Clinton said "yes we are going to be out there drawing comparisons and contrasts but it is mostly about making the case to the American people."

When questing turned back to President Clinton, the Senator said "his life's work has been about bringing people together."

With all due respect for Mr. Obama and the campaign he has run I'd have to agree he has alot of good things to say, who can argue with that? but the major difference is, Obama has nothing really but his words so far, what has he actually accomplished? nothing much in his 2 very short years in the Senate. He skipped on 130 Senate votes, no one does that and gets things done, seriously. Change happens when you TAKE ACTION and sitting back and not voting 130 times, is not taking action. You know I have nothing against Obama's ideas, but Hillary and Edwards both have alot more to back up their promises. One step at a time, I think Obama is an impulsive choice and the wrong choice for what America needs right now. Change is great! of course it is, we ALL want change and no one wants it and can make that change happen more effectively for what we all need to restore America right away quite like Hillary Clinton starting on her first day in office. Hillary has my vote and support all the way and John Edwards is my second choice, I wish Edwards would be Hillary's running mate in fact, those two would be just awesome together. I would consider Obama another time but he is way too young, untested and inexperienced still for what we need done now. Do the right thing and vote for what we KNOW will work at a time in America's history when we cannot afford to lose another another child, another job, another business, another family, another home, another day. Hillary already knows exactly what to do and how to do it, you cannot just promise that or say 'yes you can' make change, it takes hard work. You have to actually have the skills and know how to get it done like Hillary absolutely does. Bottom line, you don't hire an amateur to do a professional job. Vote for Hillary for real serious, immediate change, she is the sure thing and she will not let us down.

Hillary All the Way!!!!!!

YOU VOTERS WILL DECIDE! DON'T BELIEVE THE NATIONAL MEDIA, PUNDITS, POLITICAL ADS, POLLSTERS, SPIN DOCTORS, POLITICIANS AND CELEBRITY ENDORSERS! YOU ARE THE DECIDING FACTOR AND DON'T GIVE THAT RIGHTS TO ANYONE! NOW WE HAVE TO THINK HARD AND BE REALISTIC - FOR WE NEED TO VOTE WISELY AND PRUDENTLY FOR AMERICA CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER MISTAKE IN ELECTING A WRONG PRESIDENT! WE HAVE TO FOCUS AND BE REALISTIC WHERE OUR COUNTRY RIGHT NOW - THIS IS A TOUGH DECISION WE HAVE TO MAKE. I KNOW SENATOR OBAMA IS THE MAN OF THE HOUR AND AMERICA IS INFATUATED WITH THIS YOUNG SENATOR FOR HIS RHETORICS AND BEAUTIFUL SPEECHES PLUS THE MEDIA IS BACKING HIM UP. BUT WE NEED TO CHECK HIS RECORDS AND ACCOMPLISHEMENT AS SENATOR - EXPERIENCE WISE I DON'T THINK WE CAN TAKE CHANCES ON THIS SENATOR. AMERICA SHOULD REALIZE WHERE FATASY BEGIN AND WHEN FATASY ENDS. WE HAVE TO THINK FOR OUR COUNTRY FIRST AND FOREMOST DON'T BELIEVE ON THIS NATIONAL MEDIA THAT IS FEEDING YOU. IN MY OWN OPINION SENATOR CLINTON IS THE MOST QUALIFIED,EXPERIENCE, SMART AND READY TO LEAD THE COUNTRY IN DAY ONE! SHE ALWAYS SPEAK WITH SUBSTANCE AND CARE FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS AND MINORITIES AND BEEN THERE AND BEEN ATTACKED BY THE REPUBLICAN MACHINE FOR 16 YEARS AND SURVIVED! I HOPE AND PRAY THAT AMERICA WILL GET IT THIS TIME TO SELECT THE RIGHT PERSON TO BECOME PRESIDENT WHO WILL RUN OUR COURNTRY IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION - AMERICA WE CANNOT TAKE THIS TO CHANCES!
God Bless America!!!

Obama will not get the nomination, we all know this. However, Hillary WILL NOT WIN EITHER. Keep dreaming Hillary freaks.

If I were an American citizen,(I am a Canadian absolutely fasinated with your election of a president)I don"t believe I am a freak because I would vote for Hillary because she is strong, has a very honest approach to finding the truth and is the smartest canidate you have. She is very capable of keeping her husband in control and I noticed in the debates she can out-wit anyone. She certainly straightened out the silly protestants and catholics in Ireland. I wish she had been born a Canadian as we need a strong woman to deal with our many problems..

The comments of many here are vicious and ugly. They do not attract me to Obama in the least...in fact, they incite my anger and make me want to protect Hillary. Bill Clinton was a good president and it should be expected that he is going to be partisan about his wife and possibly too wound up to watch his words...and to insinuate that the Clintons are race baiting is a fabrication by the press to stir up the natives. I have been listening to all of Bill Clinton's comments and the real race baiting has been at the hands of the press which is reading motives into his words which are not there. Of course, if a person's bent is to find a racist motive under every rock, then he is going to find one.

I agree totally with Two-cats !! I am sick of the Hillary bashing !! bill Clinton cared about people and he was a great President. He left behind a huge surplus which King George squandered. Gas was not $3.50 a gallon during the Clinton Administration and were not in debt for 900 billion dollares for an "oil" war. We were not hated throughout the world as we are now. The Republ;icans have repeatedly tried to tie 911 with Iraq and Bush and Cheney should have been impeached years ago for their lies and abuses of our system. The press keeps bringing up the race issue - not the Clintons. Hillary says one thing about the civil rights bill and the press and Obama campaign turn it into a major racial issue. All of you have slandered Hillary Clinton for many years and she is still standing. She has shown that she can take anything that you throw at her,so keep throwing it and she will get even more respect from all of us for withstanding all the vicious comments and hatred directed at her. Hillary knows how mean and spiteful the press can be...Obama has not found that out yet but he will very soon. We need more than cutesy phrases like "Change is coming ". Nominate Barack Hussein Obama and you'll get Change of a different sort-American males will leave the Democratic party and vote for McCain !!!

For all of you non-Floridians- be advised that the Republican led legislature under Jeb Bush - "Nit -wits" brother-- made the Primary date change a reality and that caused the parties to strip Democratic delegates. Jebby had to stick it to the Democrats one more time before he left office. If Hillary can change that--- more power to her. We, as Democrats, should not have to suffer because of some previous Republican fools in office.

Two-Cats - I can understand your reaction, and while I don't have much regard for Hillary Clinton, I do agree some of the criticism is over the top.

But in terms of wanting to protect her, I'm not sure that's a good reason to cast a vote her way for the presidency. What exactly would you be protecting her from, if you were to help nominate a candidate you know people like to bash? The Democrats, in my view, shouldn't nominate someone with such high negatives, as that would only hurt the party in November.

Hillary and her handlers should be aware that many voters don’t like the idea of a "co-presidency", and that Bill has become so high profile that he made people begin to see this as a possible co-presidency. As a woman, she already has a tough fight, but with Bill's behavior, it gives the perception that she either needs him to fight the big battles for her, or she can't control him at all. And if she can't be a leader in her own home, then how can she be a leader of the free world?

Posted by: DaneruMelodie | Jan 28, 2008 9:20:16 AM

Let's remember two important things. It is against the laws of our country for anyone to be president for more than two terms. Hillary can't have it both ways. She can't claim Bill's successes while president as if they were her own, yet say she will be running things this time around. And secondly do we need another president who can't answer a question honestly, as Hillary seems to have a real problem doing. Really listen to questions posed to her and see if her answers match up. Too many times they don't. It is like she has rehearsed answers that she tries to fit to questions asked, only many times they don't fit. Watch Obama when he is asked questions, he actually answers them. That tell me a lot about how honest a leader he will be. (And to the person who commented on how many missed votes Obama had, Clinton has a similar number, most of the senators do. Our stupid political system necessitates that senators have to spend way too much time raising political funds to run their next race. We need to change the system.)

i totally agree with you Two-Cats and Jimbo.

wow , so many are ready to join Obamas space ship ride , i remember back in the sixties we had great ideas too , change, peace , lets all get along i am for everyone , i am still laughing, Obama will someday , maybe worth what he says , but change can only happen if there is aggreement, among both parties , and i do not believe he has the clout or power to suceed. Hilary has that power , she is tuff and who cares if her husband is there too, thats double the power of getting things done . the problem is no one really cares what happens to their neighbors money or life , only theirs its human nature . this is not star trek people. one party system , many candidates ,2 people working for the People of the USA, not the goverment , not illegals , but the legal tax payers of this country ,, stop world economy , its killing the USA. HILLARY and BILL for President

Posted by: Keith | Jan 28, 2008 3:57:13 PM

Keith, I'm not much of a Star Trek guy, but I'm supporting Obama anyway.
