Giuliani Buys Lengthy TV Ad To Make Closing Argument

ABC News' Jan Simmonds reports:  In a one minute and thirty seconds spot, to be aired on all of Florida's CBS affiliates Sunday night before 60 Minutes, Rudy Giuliani makes his final case to the people of Florida.

"A Giuliani presidency will have two clear goals: returning our economic policy to the values of Ronald Reagan and taking the offense against Islamic terrorism," says Giuliani speaking directly into the camera.

The ad, which features the words "Rudy Giuliani" over eight times as if trying to send voters a subliminal message, touts the former New York City Mayor's economic plan, support of the National Catastrophe Fund, record on welfare and reducing government spending along with his plan to fight terrorism.

The mantra in the ad is "Only Rudy Giuliani".  For example, "In America’s fourth largest government… Rudy delivered record tax cuts… reformed welfare… and reduced spending. Only Rudy Giuliani", a narrator informs the viewer.  As he has conducted his entire media campaign, Giuliani's ad makes no mention of his republican opponents rather focusing on his own record and plans for the country.

Down in most polls, Giuliani is now touting himself as the underdog but hopes that his message and extra time spent in Florida in campaigning will make the difference when the votes are counted on Tuesday.

I see Rudy's fall back is mind control. Why not, it worked for the neo-conservatives when they were "recruiting" BUSH. If it works do it. Well NOT for me Rudy, I still can see you for what you really are. And willl rejoice with millions when you GO AWAY!!! Your strategy for elections only rivals BUSH foriegn policy for it's complete, total, and utter LACK of comprehension.

WOW, still attacking Bush, he is NOT running, you already had two shots at him and LOST both times. Rmemeber, NO democrate has had a majority vote in over 3 decades, not even the impeached adulturing liar. And once again the left hangs out two losers, with a combined experience of 10 years in the senate and not a single major bill passed thru between them. They have taken no position or flip flopped on the war so much you would think they were using the Kerry campaign manual. Raise taxes, give our money away and no national defense, this is really a no brainer if one looks at it with a brain instead of their racist/sexist emotions.

I live in Florida and I GUARANTEE you that Rudy will crushed. He will be lucky to get to 13% of the vote. He is a buffoon.

Since when is pointing out that Rudy will lose makes somebody racist and sexist? And by the way the invisible "War on Terror" is the real reason our money is being wasted financing an empire we can't afford. I don't want to be in Iraq, Iran, or Afghanistan for 100 years and neither do the American people. But if the empire is SO crucial to your personal (in)security. I implore you to join up and fight the so-called "Islamofascists!" Oh BTW... I'm NOT a Democrat and am a registered REPUBLICAN!!! Save me the liberial trype.

Florida doesn't need Rudy to build sanctuary cities because it is a sanctuary state. Florida's schools, hospitals and prisons are full illegal aliens. The only people showing up at Rudy's Florida campaign events are actually just New Yorkers on vacation. New Yorkers can't vote in Florida's primary and the millions of illegal aliens infesting the state are all commited to voting for John McCain, the architect of Amnesty. Rudy doesn't have a chance because his TV ad is in English and only a few tourists in Florida speak English.
