Giuliani Pushes for Early Vote in Florida Before Others Arrive
January 15, 2008 4:15 PM
ABC News’ Jan Simmonds Reports: Speaking to supporters and prospective voters Tuesday in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Rudy Giuliani asked the crowd to cast their votes now, before his Republican foes descended onto the state.
"This campaign is going to be an intense one here in Florida,” said Giuliani. “The good part of it is that the people of Florida are gonna learn a lot about all the issues, all the candidates and everything else. But I tell ya what… before they even get here to campaign how about you go vote for me."
Noting that early voting already began in the Sunshine State Monday, the former New York City Mayor added, “You can do something in Florida that can’t get done anywhere else. You can go vote today, you can go vote tomorrow.”
After a person in the crowd noted they already went to the polls Giuliani yelled out, “You voted for me already!"
The campaign has really been pushing early voting here for the past few days, trying to capitalize on their exclusivity in the state while the other Republicans are spending their time competing in Michigan and South Carolina. The Board of Elections Office was not able to quickly account for how many people voted in Florida Monday, when contacted Tuesday morning.
Giuliani also increased his outreach to the Hispanic community on Tuesday in Florida, releasing a new Spanish radio ad, featuring the Mayor Hialeah Julio Robaina touting the former mayor’s experience.

We don't need another warmonger like BUSH!!!

He is soooooo thru. Everyone in politics is laughing at him and saying he's run one of the dumbest campaigns in history. Rudy hasn't run a campaign for office since he used race-baiting to win NY over Davis Dinkins. He can't do that with Obama running so he looks lost. He's a psychopath that should be institutionalized. Tough guy as a drag queen and 4 wives one a cousin?? 9-11 would've worked in 2004 if Bush wasn't running. No one outside the 5 burroughs really care, Rudy. Time to go home, Cheney Jr.

Am I the only one tired of hearing One issue Rudy pat himself on the back. I have everything he says memorized. I'd like to hear the other candidates degate without having to hear him say the same thing over and over and over,,,,,,

The Presidential election is about competing and letting the electorate know who they are. Rudy wants to circumvent that process by having everyone vote early for him. It is not the American way! He wants to chalk a win up WITHOUT competing. That is not going to happen. Rudy is done with no win in Florida is my prediction. I have relatives and friends there and they are definately not supporting this pro abortion candidate no matter how long he sits on their doorstep.

I like Rudy alot. I feel we will be safer in his hands. He also stands by his word. I like all his stands on immigration, supporting the election of prolife judges, and our terrorist situation.

Attention America, as a New york resident and a conservative I urge you to vote for Rudy. He's the only candidate that has the ability and history to deal with terrorism. He's tough and a great leader. Yes I know about his faults, partcularly abortion, but look at his fiscal leadership while he was mayor. It was a solid conservative agenda in a very liberal city. Don't forget without security you have nothing.

And RUDY kept you safe on 911... HOW, please DO TELL??? Cause last I remember NYC got attacked and some buildings collapsed by FIRE, right? He really scared the heck outta those Muslims. I mean they only attacked twice in eight years. They sure got the message in '93! And how about opening Manhattan and Wall St. with all that concrete and asbestos in the air, killing all those brave first responders. Do THEY say he's a great leader??? How about his business ties to Muslim extremist in Quatar and Saudi Arabia, through Giuliani Partners? He sure DEALS with terrorism all right, He HASN'T returned a check from then YET! Forgive me if I don't find a man that can't keep his hands off dirty money, shamlessly lies about his role he played in 911, and the millions that have been harmed by his actions, and thinks that we should go to war in IRAN on top of Afghanistain and Iraq worthy of the highest office in the land.

Please Rudy, ANYTHING you can do to shut down McCain!! We can't afford to have a republican nominee like McCain who is left of many democrats (eg Joe Leiberman) and is more interested in making nice nice with Teddy Kennedy than pursuing any real conservative agenda.
Go Rudy Go!
