Hey Bill, How's Your Marriage?

ABC News' Sarah Amos Reports: Former President Bill Clinton gets a lot of tough questions when he is in public stumping for his wife Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.

Usually people want to ask about his wife's policies on health care, how she would end the war in Iraq and where she stand on education.

But tough questions don't deter Clinton, who usually takes about 10 questions at the end of every event.  Today was no different, and as Clinton went through answering everyone in the crowd at a campaign event in Sparks, Nevada Tuesday, he managed to stumble upon a Republican with a more personal question.

"I just want you to know I am Republican looking for change," began the man, as a few audience members jokingly booed.

"No, no, you are welcome here," replied Clinton.

"I know where you stand when you were running for president, I know where you are at, I know where your wife is at, I want to know where your marriage is at," asked the man, as the boos became a bit louder and less of a joke.

Clinton however, seemed unfazed by the question and happy to answer.

"Well, that is a legitimate question, we just celebrated our 32 wedding anniversary.  Our only child, our only child is here.  The Republican, who is running for president who knows us best, Governor Huckabee, has publicly defended us to Republicans, Hillary and me," answered Clinton, adding Huckabee had told people, "I don't see why they should be penalized for keeping their marriage together."

It is a question not many would have had the gumption to ask, but it is certainly a question that is on many voters minds.

The days of Monica Lewinsky and President Clinton's very public indiscretion are far in the past, but also far from forgotten.  Talking with voters, there are more than a few who worry that electing Sen. Clinton will re-open a can of worms and reignite discussions of morality and family values in America. For some, it is the baggage, not the person they are afraid to have in the White House.

Still, the crowd seemed satisfied and pleased with the former president's answer.  And talking about it seemed to please Clinton as well, who went farther down memory lane, telling the audience, "when Hillary and I were young I told her that one of my great ambitions in life was to grow old with her, be 75 or 80 years old, bee sitting on a park bench, see young people in their 20's walking by and not regret the fact that we couldn't be young again because we liked the life we had."

What a lovely sentiment by Slick Willy, sitting on that park bench with Hillary. He's sounds so sincere you might think it actually happenned.

It is better to keep your marriage together than split. That's the trouble with a lot of marriages today there are too many divorces and they have no regard for the children. Who should know better than the people who make the comments. Many of this generation has had babies out of wedlock, on drugs and booze and can't a keep a job. Hillary Clinton and her daughter do not have a background like that. Bill Clinton's one time affair is nothing compared to the husband's that are keeping other women while married to their wife. As I read the top man in France married his model girlfriend who he was having an affair with. He evebtually divorced his wife but Bill and Hillary worked it out and stayed together. He may not get voted in again. So you see there's pros and cons in everything.

IT ONLY TAKES A JR.HIGH STUDENT TO FIGURE OUT THAT MONICA WAS PLANTED IN THE WHITEHOUSE BY DIRTBALL REPUBLICANS.PLEASE LOOK AT THE AFFAIRS AND SHAM MARRIAGES OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES. MC CAIN (ALTHOUGH I LIKE HIM ALSO) ADMITS TO AN AFFAIR THAT BROKE UP HIS FIRST MARRIAGE. DOESN'T THIS PROVE HILLIARY CAN KEEP A PROMISE, CAN BE THE BETTER PERSON, CAN MOVE ON?

Mariann Pepitone, when you say Bill's "one time affair" do you mean with Hillary?
