ABC News' Kevin Chupka reports: This afternoon the wife of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Janet, told ABC News that the Huckabee's eldest son, John Mark, had been in a car accident.

He had left Iowa early this morning with family friends David and Debbie Haak; all were headed home to Texarkana, Ark.

While traveling south on I-35 another car entered the highway and smashed into the 31-year-old's car sending it down a 50-foot embankment.

John Mark and the Haaks were brought to the hospital for evaluation but were released tonight.  Mrs. Huckabee told ABC News that John Mark was back at a Des Moines hotel resting and that she was unsure how and when her son would make it back to Arkansas.

In a  campaign press release this evening Huckabee said, "Janet and I are relieved that John Mark is allright. He will be stiff and sore from the accident, but doctors assured us he sustained no serious injuries."  After being called by witnesses of the accident, the police issued a citation to the driver of the car that struck Huckabee and the Haaks.

In addition to John Mark and the Haaks, the Huckabee's three dogs, Jet, Toby and Sonit were also in the car for the long ride south.  They are all fine.

I am observing and in awe at what is going on with the Presidential caucuses. We as a nation seem to be coming to terms with the fact that what matters is not the color of one's skin or gender or religion, but his charcter. And might I add, it matters most as to who is the BEST candidate for President of our Country. We must gain respect, by any means necessary, with the World.
WHAT A BLESSING.

I think the american people should be very worried about voter fraud. I read some information where straw polls and the Iowa caucus polls were compared to previous elections. It was alarming... The straw polls pretty much matched the caucus minus or plus a few here and there. But, McCain and Thompson ROSE 1% to 14% each!!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!! Those 2 Bush warmongers didn't even campaign in Iowa and they got
all that support. SMELLS LIKE VOTER FRAUD. In Iowa, some of the precint captains said RON PAUL came in 1st, 2nd
and 3rd and out beat McCain and Thompson. Now you see what I mean. The
establishment dosen't want RON PAUL to
win because he would shut down the war.
Oh my, how will all the politicians keep
getting RICH?????????????????????

I also read Huckabee didn't do well in
some of the Iowa caucus polls, but he
supposedly WON???????????????? Remember,
slimey Huckabee's campaign manager is Ed
Rollins, who was Bush's campaign manager.
SHOULD I GO ON????????????????? BEWARE!!!!
HUCKABEE IS A SLEEZEBALL......

Tom and Marie don't get so excited. You wouldn't believe the internet support for Paul. It was amazing. And don't believe the polls. Iowa has a very large Christion base, thus Huckabees'appeal. The media had to much control on who was in the news, who to ask questions to and many other things.I'm just sorry that Biden and Dodd weren't given a fair shake. And I hope you noticed that Hillary is basicly back stabbing Iowa now. It's our fault she didn't do better. Guess we are smarter than she thought!!

I shudder to think what kind of mess this country is going to go through in 2009, 2010. But it is going to be BAD.
