Marry Me, Hillary!
January 11, 2008 4:58 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Rolling along the west coast, Hillary Clinton launched her plan to "jumpstart" the economy but one voter was more interested in marriage, than money matters.
"Hillary! Marry me Baby!" one man shouted in a rowdy crowd shouted after listening patiently to her multi-point economic plan.
After much laughter, Clinton kindly declined.
"That is certainly the kindest offer Ive had in a while, but I'd probably get arrested," she replied.
On more serious matters, Clinton claims her proposed $70 billion stimulus package would help families who have been hit hardest by the economy and she's calling for a 90-day moratorium on foreclosures.
The five part stimulus plan includes: establishing a $30 billion Emergency Housing Crisis Fund, taking a stem the tide of foreclosures, providing a $25 billion in emergency energy assistance, accelerating $5 billion in energy efficiency and alternative energy, and investing $10 billion in extending and broadening unemployment for insurance for those who are struggling to find work.
As become her practice as of late, the former first lady as took a number of questions from the audience and the California crowd asked about Iran, unions, and Iraq.
The Democratic hopeful was also asked if she felt any pressure to become the first female Democratic nominee for president.
"Oh no, not at all," Clinton said sarcastically as the crowd loudly cheered her on.

Yeah, I'd want a sugar mama too. But I don't like the idea of her stealing from my children to pay for someone else's mortgage and heating bills. Has anyone asked Hillary how she's intending to pay for this so-called economic "plan" (read: bailout scheme) of hers?

And if she's serious about helping people, maybe she can give some of her billions or sell her multi-million dollar house in New York, or maybe better yet, she can ask for some of her corporate donor friends to give money to people in need instead of funding her campaign.
I'm mad as .... And I'm not gonna take it anymore.

That's $233 for every man, woman, and child in the United States. Including my children. And by the way, that's without interest on the debt ... so how does she plan to fund this bailout?

All Obama has to do is give an inspirational speech and get everyone to sing Kumbaya to make people forget about the economy and their falling personal fortunes.

In Hillary's world - the "state" is the family. We spent the last half of the 20th century fighting communism and now the liberal sheep wants to elect one.

how can a candidate like hillary clinton become commander in chief whrn she hates military in uniform to enter white house this was her statement when her husband was president wake up america

You want candidates to present concrete examples of what they'll do in office. However, when they spell out their "to do list": you question how they would do it: "where the money will come from?".
That exactly why we are in trouble, in the first place. Pleople don't know what they want. Always confronting, chanllenging even when there is no need.
You complain about her using your children money to bail others in your country, but you don't do anything when that same money is being used to bail outside countries in ruin of your own family's future. Wake up and get yourself straight!
To be a president you have to know where to get money for things that you will have in your agenda. She is not stupid, nor are other candidates in the race. There are ways to get money to fund government projects. "there're never been free money" So, she or anyone else will have a system in place to face the nation for whatever needs (military, economic...). For now, what is urgent is family survival with everything expensive and no increase in salaries.
Hope everyone writing here is an adult and has to act like one, you will serve your country instead of talking nonsense!!!

Hillary has put herself well ahead of smug Edwards and Obama by providing a very specific plan. Obama hasn't even answered the question of what he'll do to fix society. He's too busy hiding behind others who could help him fight Hillary - who's REALER than him. The same with Edwards, who's painted himself into a wall because he clings to Obama too much. They're both undone.

Okay people, lets wake up here to the real deal with the money. It,s the Congress with all those people with 2&6yr.terms.Who get elected, that fight over everything.Don,t fight among yourselves about the W.H.for that, just look at their record,s. Look up c-span for that don,t listen to the media their the special interest. If you want the fact instead of the fiction, look it up. your tax dollars pay for it why fight it other over want the talking heads want you to because that way you don,t have the fact. I mean if those facts say your getting your read end handed to you, then vote for the other person in it,s pretty easy. After all, you only have the facts and your vote. After you vote, you have no say because that just the way it is. (just the facts) Get,em!
