Paul on Leno Tomorrow

ABC's Z. Byron Wolf reports from Manchester, N.H.: Being spurned by Fox News and excluded from their forum tonight may be the best thing that ever happened to the Ron Paul campaign.

He will appear Monday night on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" to talk to millions about his exclusion from the Fox event, which will be seen by far fewer.

Paul, who raised more in primary contributions than any other candidate last quarter, with $19.7 million, is chartering a plane out of the Manchester airport in an hour to fly to Los Angeles for the interview.

After appearing on the "Tonight Show" on the eve of the Iowa caucus, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee scored a convincing win. The same was not true for New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, who appeared that night on "The Late Show with David Letterman." She placed third.

Paul campaign spokesman Jesse Benton said the invitation from Leno came on Saturday, when it became clear Fox would not let Paul take part in their debate.

Paul also waged his own protest against Fox when he hired a production company to tape his own town hall forum, which aired live this evening, just before the Fox debate, on both a New Hampshire public access station and the Internet.

This will be the Texas congressman and retired OB-GYN's second trip to Burbank to sit on Jay's couch since Halloween.

Thank you FOX for excluding Ron Paul. This generated 100 times more publicity than the few minutes Ron Paul would have received. Independents in NH have only one choice- Ron Paul, not the Bush, neocon, hack McCain. Those that think the surge worked..it worked because we armed and funded Sadams's people-the Sunnis. If Sadam hadn't been hanged he could have been reinstalled in power too. We are back where we were if we had stayed out like Ron Paul warned. We would have had a trillion dollars less debt, thousands of our troops would not have been killed and crippled and there would be a lot less terrorists. Our drug war is now funding the Taliban and AlQueada in Afganistan while generating gangs, robberies and mayhem on our streets. We are doing a great job terrorizing ourselves. No one is listening to Ron Paul again! The man is a prophet, a voice crying in the wilderness..

Actually, if you check the tapes, you will find that Hillary Clinton did not appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman." She had a short cameo appearance at the beginning of the show which was taped in Iowa and added by the producers after the show was taped.

But then, I guess it all depends on what your definition of "appear on" is.

I cannot wait to see Ron Paul - his ideas are brilliant. I disagree with some of his foreign policy but on health care, education, welfare-reform, and immigration he is DEAD-ON!

Nice! I'll be watching Dr. Paul on Leno and will definitely be passing the word. Thanks Jay!

FINALLY! A real fiscal conservative, one endorsed by the son of the 'father of conservatism' Barry Goldwater, Jr.

Ron Paul is a breath of fresh air, the economy is the number one key issue effecting everyone and Ron Paul is an expert in this area.

He practically schooled them at the forum on saterday, I could swear Thompson was writing notes to learn a little bit about the effects on inflation and wasteful spending.

Dr. Paul speaks the plain truth, something "Faux" is incapable of. Thank you Jay..I look forward to tuning in.

Thank you Jay Leno and striking writers! We hope and pray NH residents see this on Leno's show...

Thanks Fox!

But on a serious note make sure to contact Jay Leno, NBC, or their staff and thank them for the publicity.

The other candidates could not appear due to the Writers' Strike; they would have no idea what to say.

One wonders whether Jay knows he and Stormfront.org are helping out the same candidate?

Thanks, ABC and Jay, for allowing Dr. Paul's message to not be suppressed as Fox has done. Somewhere in the whole freedom bit there lies a responsibility for the media to be "fair and balanced" and just not merely profess to be!

Dr. Paul is an honest man, much more so than Fox News professes to be. I have been a Fox supporter since it's inception until now. They have been taken from the memory of my Sirius Radio's buttons and my TV's favorites menu. I'll listen no more and watch no more. And Hannity made himself an idiot trying to debate Dr. Paul.

I cannot wait to see him!!
I keep looking for the end of the world because there is FINALLY an honest decent candidate for president!!

Ron Paul 2008 !!!!!
