Poll: McCain Up Six; Clinton-Obama Tied

Share

January 05, 2008 6:03 PM

ABC News' Rick Klein Reports: The latest WMUR/University of New Hampshire tracking poll has John McCain opening up a six-point lead over Mitt Romney, 33-27. In their last poll, taken Dec. 27-30, McCain and Romney were tied at 29.

The sample size is small, the margin of error large (five), but this is the first post-Iowa snapshot we have of the race, and it raises the stakes for Romney. The Romney campaign is furiously spinning the prospect of a second-place finish as a win, but as we note today he's spending more money than all of his rivals COMBINED in New Hampshire, just like he did in Iowa, where he only took the silver. The poll also has Rudy Giuliani in third at 14, Mike Huckabee fourth with 11, and Ron Paul in fifth with 9. (Fred Thompson is tied with with Duncan Hunter at 1 -- wow.)

Among the Democrats, it's Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama tied at 33. If you're with the Clinton campaign, this is a mixed message -- it is tight tight tight in the state she needs to regain momentum, but at least she hasn't cratered in the wake of Iowa.

These numbers are roughly the same as they were in the last poll, which it at 34-30 Clinton over Obama. In the new numbers, John Edwards is running third at 20 percent -- if that holds, he's going to have trouble moving on from New Hampshire. Bill Richardson is in a distant fourth at 4 percent, just above Dennis Kucinich's 2 percent.

Go Hillary! Obama doesn't have the experience and simply won't beat the GOP front runner.

Hillary has the wrong experience. Let's go change the world

Posted by: Henry | Jan 5, 2008 6:15:02 PM

hillary is going to lose by a landslide to obama, her breakdown will be worse than britneys, America is all about hope and change, thats the story of our great nation, lets end the bush-clinton-bust dynasty, its not a monarchy, its a democracy, the people will vote who they want, obama seems to be the one we all want for real change and hope, hope accomplishes a lot remember it was the hope of freed slaves and the hope of women, that one day they would be able to vote, i see real change in obama, but more of the same failed washington tactics and talk and poor judgement from hrc, she really needs to quit now, before it gets much worse for her, which it will,Americans are taking back their Govt! also why would she bad-mouth iowa after losing there, i hope newhampshire can see her for who she really is as , calculating, poll driven, divisive, and insensitive!

The poor simpleton democrats think that change- any change- for the sake of change- is even remotely congruous to improvement of a situation. You don't revolt except against evil which precludes by definition even allowing the evil dems to propose change. See, just like with drugs, booze and toxic waste, there is absolutely NO problem for which the answer is a democrat!! Besides- if you want change for the better- the thing to do is get rid of the god damned marxist pigs pretending to be americans calling themselves democrats. They have not been cleansed out of washington once since 1940. THAT would be a change that would improve all our lives, and all of USA.

The country, and indeed, the world, is ready for change. It's not just a slogan or a word that candidates can bandwagon on to. Barack Obama is genuinely different. Taking a different approach to the same problems and moving beyond the same fights we've been having during the 20 years of Bush/Clinton. It's time to move forward. Don't be scared of changing times, embrace it. Be a part of it.

Obama will change the world! Woohoo!

Sandra Lea:
What experience does Hillary Clinton have? Being a former First Lady doesn't
count! Being a one-term U.S. Senator with no major piece of legislation passed having her name on it is pathetic!
Please tell me what experience Hillary Clinton has that qualifies her to be president of the U.S.!

Posted by: reaganfan | Jan 5, 2008 6:22:28 PM

Anyone who is truly interested in change needs to at least do themsleves and the country a favor and check out Ron Paul's stance. He not only claims "change", but actually has the cvoting record to BACK IT UP. None of the others can claim that, as they're all spouting *change* while continuing to do the same old, same old. Ron Paul wants change all right- change BACK into what we're supposed to be as a country. What our constitution calls for, not the lobbyists and special interest groups. The Repubs in high places don't like him, he's too liberal for them- but every day people are his followers. We, not the rich & powerful companies and lobbies, are who have contributed over NINETEEN MILLION dollars because we finally have a candidate we can believe in. Check him out yourself!

@anthony

What change is Obama bringing?

Look at his voting record, he's a Bush lite.

Obama is a new light, a new hope for all american people and for the world. he will change the world. Don't loose this chance. Don't miss this historical chance. Go Obama go !!

Posted by: lovetherealamericafromEurope | Jan 5, 2008 6:28:23 PM

Okay soRomney sweeps Wyoming (Hucabee and McCain would have to have worked hard to beat hunter), McCain places a distant third in Iowa, the Huckster will be lucky to place third in New Hampshire, and Romney has easily won the most delegates to date. Romney is really starting to gain momentum here. In the end, the race will come down to Romney and Guliani, and that's what Republicans should be focused on.

Hi, I'm Mike Huckabee, and I disapprove this mudslinging message, but here it is anyway. (And the reporters in the room laughed because they thought it was a joke).

Posted by: Andy N | Jan 5, 2008 6:31:09 PM

" All but one of the New Hampshire polls taken over the last two days (read: after the Iowa caucuses) show Obama with a lead, some in the double digits. If the trend of the past few days (and arguably, months) is any indication, we can expect to see an increase in this lead in tomorrow's numbers. The sole exception is the poll mentioned in the article above, which shows a tie. Why choose this one over reputable pollsters like Rasmussen and American Research Group? Please tell the full story next time around.

Posted by: Billy Burdett | Jan 5, 2008 6:33:38 PM

Obama represents a cosmetic change, but America could really use one, and apparently that's the best we can hope for. Too bad Kucinich isn't tall, dark, and handsome :(

Posted by: tom | Jan 5, 2008 6:35:38 PM

Barack Obama sure looks like he has big "MO" on his side. After Tuesday it may be all over for both parties...

Posted by: Mike | Jan 5, 2008 6:36:49 PM

omar, Obama is not "Bush Lite," and your insistence that we look at his voting record just shows your ignorance. Obama had the 10th most progressive voting record in the Senate in 2006, far surpassing Clinton and ahead of even Russ Feingold and Chris Dodd. If that's Bush Lite, I'll take a six pack!

Ron Paul is the only candidate who has shown by his voting record that he will end the war in iraq, cut spending, elminate the IRS, repeal the Patriot Act and return our country back to sound monetary policy.

Senator Clinton's experience: Addressed the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, introduced international measures on Human Trafficking, the only First Lady to have addressed The U.N., the World Bank, the Council on Foreign Relations, the World Economic Forum. She personally got involved in getting women a vote in Kuwait, in human rights violations in Slovakia, she was a potent player in Northern Ireland, hastening peace there; involved in South Africa with Nelson Mandela, and through her joint initiative Vital Voices, she has helped US mentors train women from new democracies for leadership roles.

--From a Hillary Clinton group

Posted by: Marie Renee | Jan 5, 2008 6:42:36 PM

Senator Clinton has many accomplishments to be proud of, no question, but the fact of the matter is that she overstates the case for experience. She's never held executive office and she has only been the candidate in two elections, both of which were against non-entities. If you want someone with a truly impressive record, Bill Richardson is your guy. Clinton's record is no more impressive than Obama's.

Posted by: Klaus | Jan 5, 2008 6:46:53 PM

The candidate one supports says a lot about that person. By this statement, one concludes that Hillary supporters like a woman who is constantly attacking her opponents, is a mean, frustrated, angry, old politician bent on achieving her personal ambitions. A person who supports Hillary Clinton supports a woman who attacks her opponents even to the point of kindergarten essays. Obama supporters, on the other hand, one could conclude, are optimistic change-agents who want to gently form coalitions to tackle America's problems. That includes building bridges to Republicans. Hillary, on the other hand, would rather scream and kick and punch until she gets her way. She's mean; so are her supporters.

Posted by: Soldier | Jan 5, 2008 6:47:40 PM

I am undecided. But I want to know who will offer the best Health care for families, and affordable college for my children and grandchild. I plan on following the issues the candidates present and pray for wisdom from above.

Posted by: Debbie | Jan 5, 2008 6:49:56 PM

Clinton is part of the old paradigm of politics. The reality is that people want new leadership, and someone who can offer a vision, not just experience. Obama offers a vision and the right type of experience.

Posted by: Kevin Brugman | Jan 5, 2008 6:50:26 PM

Come on New Hampshire Voters, all 18+ need to turn out in force just like they did in Iowa, and show all Politicians we in America are ready fro a change, and his name is Obama!

Posted by: LIsten Up | Jan 5, 2008 6:51:08 PM

Sandra Lea - No experience huh?

Barack Obama's been in elected office longer than HRC... and Edwards; he's authored/co-sponsored/passed unpopular and controversial reform legislation in the Illinois and U.S. Senate (with Republican co-sponsors and bi-partisan support); he has "real world" experience working with everyday Americans on grassroots issues from his days as a community organizer in Chicago; he's visited 14 or so countries/states abroad in his official capacity as a U.S. Senator, credited with studying nuclear proliferation, AIDS, and Middle Eastern violence during those fact-finding journeys; has proven that he can attract Republican and Independent voters which will be critical to winning the general election because you can't win with only Democratic party votes; etc.

If you were ruly interested in making informed statements about Obama rather than baseless personal attacks, you would have researched your claims and backed them up with facts.

Posted by: Eyzwidopn | Jan 5, 2008 6:51:34 PM

"In the new numbers, John Edwards is running third at 20 percent -- if that holds, he's going to have trouble moving on from New Hampshire." Why would that be? John was running behind both Obama and Clinton at 14% a week ago. He gained 6% in this poll. The answer: The established media is so drunk with power and abusing it so bad.

Please do not let the smooth talk fool you. You need to make the decision by yourself not by the media or by the beautiful words one uses.

If your Mom is sick, do you want to see the doctor with the most experience and the qualification or will you trust someone who gives beautiful speech so moving that ca make you cry yet does not really have the qualification to see patients?

Democrats and independents beware. I am getting wind of a republican startegy to keep Hillary out at any cost. There is little wonder that they call Karl Rove the best in the business. The plan is for republicans to vote in significant numbers at the primaries for Obama to boot Hillary out. The candidate the republicans fear is Hillary. Please don't fall into the republican/Karl Rove trap to boot Hillary out. She is by far the best candidate to keep GWB and his cronies out. Vote Hillary 2008.

Posted by: VPNNathan | Jan 5, 2008 7:00:58 PM

People want an exit from Iraq. I would like each candidate to tell us how soon all troops will come home, if they are present.

Posted by: Pauline | Jan 5, 2008 7:02:36 PM

Eyzwidopn: All Hillary Clinton supporters have left is attacks and baseless claims- they're performing the 'shotgun' version of attack: they just keep making up lies, telling bigger and bigger ones hoping that one- JUST ONE- of them sticks. They're desperate, scared, and anxious. I don't blame them- the country believes that Hillary Clinton is mean and angry and inexperienced. Americans are always right. Obama is going to win and Hillary supporters will retire their post-feminist theocratic groups back to academia where they can sit in their ivory towers and spit vitriot into a vacuum.

Posted by: Soldier | Jan 5, 2008 7:03:27 PM

We need someone in the office who is scandal free and does not have their reputation tainted with politic scandal! Give Obama a chance! If the people gave Bush a chance for two terms, why not give Obama at least a term? Come people, let's welcome change, change is enevitable anyway! I am rooting for you Obama!

Posted by: NICOLE | Jan 5, 2008 7:03:34 PM

Let's see, Clinton and Edwards voted to invade Iraq even though Joe Wilson had spoke out that evidence was being fixed. Clinton and Obama have continued to vote to fund the illegal invasion of Iraq and refuse to address the warranted impeachment issue of Cheney. They also voted for the unconstitutional Patriot Act and against your and my civil liberties. Yet, the one person who had the foresight and principal to vote against these measures and has always had the vision and the courage to think independently and stand up for what is right (Isn't that what leadership is?) is excluded from the New Hampshire debate. Dennis Kucinich's passion for America's growth economically and movement towards world peace and away from perpetual war is unmatched. He is also the only candidate that actually wants to implement a true not for profit universal health care system in America. It is a real shame that Kucinich gets such little respect, even though he is the true progressive among the Democrats in the race.

Posted by: Dogface | Jan 5, 2008 7:04:13 PM

I think people are going to really be surprised with how well Obama does in the coming caucuses. A lot of people really like what he stands for, but wouldn't vote for him because it would be like "wasting a vote" if other people weren't willing to vote for him. Now that this is out of the way the other candidates are going to be in real trouble.

Posted by: Shawna | Jan 5, 2008 7:05:48 PM

Obama is a freshman, new-jack, senator with minimal experience. He talks about change..but he has no real grasp of what needs to change. Hillary is a complete waste of time, trying to ride the coat tails of her last name..If you care about freedom, if you care about the well being of the united states, research the principled and proven Ron Paul. freedom? or fascism?

Posted by: Tobias S. | Jan 5, 2008 7:06:28 PM

How could anybody think Hillary Clinton is "electable"? She may have plenty of fans but there is no way this woman cold win a general election. She will never appeal to anybody who isn't already on the Hillary bandwagon and it is easy to see why. She is disdainful of those with different views; she constantly snarks at republicans when she speaks. I'm a diehard progressive and always have been but I know plenty of decent, thinking, well-intentioned people who have some, or many, conservative views and they deserve to be treated with respect too. Respectful communication is the only way there can be real change in this country because it's the only way people will listen to each other enough to come up with real solutions together. Otherwise we will just stay locked in a political stalemate between democrats and republicans. Nothing gets solved without communication, and communication doesn't happen when people feel alienated, attacked, and constantly suspicious of each other.
Hillary's inability to connect with anybody who isn't already in her fanclub is not a quality of a winner, nor is it a quality of a leader--if you are going to lead a country, you have to know how to speak to the whole country AND keep your principles. As a highly polarizing political figure and a thoroughly mediocre and ineffectual senator who voted for the war (and I was a New York state resident throughout her first term), she has done neither and Obama has done both.
Obama understands that what is going on right now is about more than just winning back the presidency for the democrats (as if the democratic party has been anything to be proud of for the past few years...). The power in this country could switch sides a million more times without producing real change. This is about making our country better by changing our political discourse and coming together as a nation around common values. Obama also understands that giving serious consideration to other peoples' principles does not mean compromising your own. He is someone who can make the democratic party--and the country--something to be proud of again. Hillary Clinton is a vindictive, short-sighted grind. Go Obama!

I have watched the manipulation of viewers in many instances by the television media. Name calling candidates, and since when is promoting ones (newscasters) opinion reporting news? Just for example, I’ve watched “Hard Ball Chris” for a long time, yet I must say I was very disappointed at his reference to Mr. Romney as “Mr. Slick. There is no foundation for that childish remark. I don’t say that as a Romney supporter, I say that as one of the MAJORITY of Americans who does want “CHANGE”; not just in “Washington Politics,” but CHANGE in the “Media manipulation of politics.” It causes one to wonder, are the news casters making a little money on the side supporting certain positions?!

“Mr. Slick”? After viewing politicians on both sides of the isle, anyone with a brain that can analyze the facts, each politician’s history, and that can make a decision for themselves, knows there are many others that have earned the “Mr. or Mrs. Slick” label! Romney would be at the end of that line, if there at all.

I’m an independent. On my score card so far there isn’t a qualified Democrat. You have a “life long politician” with a history mired in dishonesty. Besides all the other past issues, when she left the White House last time she and the original “Mr. Slick” ripped off how many items out of the White House? What will be taken if they’re given another chance? Or you have one that talks about change that doesn’t say how, and doesn’t have near the experience to deal with the crises that are before us. Being a popular “smooth talker” only gets you so far. The closest would be Edwards I believe he is sincere and would give it his best. He may be the best choice of the Democrats, but not the best choice for president.

Huckabee, a “paid” professional preacher gone politician with a gift to gab, who has belittled other people’s religions and beliefs, ran his own negative ads with clearly proven distortion of historical facts, then cries foul when his opponents show his past record for comparison ads! Does he really expect us to believe that abilities as a smooth “tawlk-n nice guy” are going to help him call terrorists to repentance? Or that his past careers of living off others donations to God, or living off his constituents as Governor of Arkansas gives him the clear understanding of the real Business world enabling him to correct the National economy?

Romney has a proven history of successful conservative business practices; those that have worked with him or hired him have nothing but good to say about him and his abilities. When he was Governor of Massachusetts he carried out the will of the majority of the people. “That by definition is representing your constituents.” When the Olympic Games were in trouble he was called in; nobody can argue that he did anything but a magnificent job. He’s a tough negotiator. He has demonstrated his care and concern for people and given back a lot. He has refused payment or benefits beyond what he felt were right. (Show me anybody running for office with that in their history). He has used much of his own money to run for office, yet he is condemned for it? Is it jealousy? He clearly believes in God, and accepts Jesus as his savior, and respects the religious beliefs of others. He has demonstrated good character in many ways. Obvious to all would be that Huckabee (who thinks he has the right to define who is a Christian) mocked Romney’s religion, and Romney who really wants to serve the people as President, held his ground and would not deny his beliefs; verses Huck’s “I want to be ‘Mr. President’ therefore I dictate what a Christian is.” He needs to reread the constitution and the Bible.

McCain would be alright, not great, but alright for war issues but there is a whole lot more that needs to be addressed here in the U.S. than that! He hasn’t been able to get much of his views implemented in his political career, yet Romney has been successful in everything he’s done!

People get a grip.
Only 11% of Iowans bothered to show up last Thursday. Obama got 3% of Iowans to vote for him, and Edwards and Clinton each got 2%. The number of people that did show up and vote represent only .0001% of the US population.
Everyone is falling all over themselves to say that the people voted for change, except you overlooked the 89% who also voted not to show up and hence voted for the status quo.
If you look at the entrance polls for new people that showed up for the Dems 30% showed up for Obama, 28% for Clinton, and 24% showed up for Edwards. This by the way represents the Dems as a whole for that night. When you add the 2nd choice to these numbers you arrive at the final totals of Obama 30+8=38%, Edwards 24+6=30%, and Clinton 28+1=29%. No where else can you force someone to pick another choice when the first is not high enough.
What all this means is the Dems were able to all get more people to show up but it was a pathetic 11% (7.5% for Dems/3.5% for Reps)of the population that said anything.
That is all it said.
* NO HISTORY
* NO CHANGE
* NO DECISION
We all need to wait until Feb 5th when 28 states will have had something to say, it is that simple.

Iowa has shown us that the American people can see through the Clintons' 2-for-1 strategy, which we first heard from Bill back in 1992. At President Bush's first inauguration, Bill said, "We'll be back." It's part of Bill and Hillary's life-long plan. Fortunately, it's been rejected, and we can only hope the rest of the country follows suit.

I did not ask for 2-for-1 then, nor do I ask for it now. That's just the life-long Clinton strategy that moves Hillary into a position for which she is not qualified.

Every time Bill moves up (Gov of Arkansas), Hillary moves up with him (Attorney General of Arkansas). Bill moves up again (President of the US); Hillary moves up with him (US Senate). See the pattern, women?

Consider what America got with the first Clinton co-Presidency:

• Abuse of the powers of the office of the President
• Granting Presidential pardons to buy Hillary's election to the Senate. As a woman who made it on my own, Hillary's need to ride Bill's coattails and her sense of entitlement (as in "it's my turn and Obama should wait his turn") makes me doubt her capabilities.
• Hillary's long-suffering marriage to Bill, enabling a lifetime of sexual trysts and trying to contain the Bimbo eruptions, gives me a President without the backbone to stand up to a man. Hillary claims to be tough enough to play with the boys when, in fact, she is unable to leave a cheating husband. How will she stand up to other male leaders who see this in "Mrs." Clinton and walk all over her?
• Being married to a former President does not make one qualified to be President.
Hillary has less experience in elected office than Barack. She's held elected office for one Senate term plus one year and has introduced no major legislation during that time. She showed us in the interview about Pakistani elections the extent of her foreign policy experience--she did not know what office the election was for or who was on the ballot! Is this the kind of experience we want in the Oval Office?

I am not a "Hillary hater;" I am an America lover. Please consider very carefully which candidate the Democratic Party puts on the ballot. The future of this country absolutely depends on it.

I plan on voting for Obama, but if he doesn't get the nomination then I'd be forced to vote for a Republican because I could never vote for 'shady condescending' Hillary. Read Lydia's 7:10 post, Lydia explains it all perfectly.

Johnny, What are you smoking?? Obama is already beating Hillary and its just going to get worse for Ms Clinton. Her campaign is in turmoil and disarray. Hillary is toast.

Hillary sees me as part of the right wing conspiracy. How could I ever vote for her? Obama sees me as an American struggling with tough issues.

It gets pretty tedious to hear these hypocrites talk about 'restoring Democracy' here and 'building Democracy' over there-- our country was not created as a Democracy! Democracies are where 51% of the population decides what the other 49% must do. Such a government invariably leads to tyranny and oppression. Our Founding Fathers designed our country as a Constitutional Republic, one in which every individual is endowed with God-given (not government-given) rights. It is from this standpoint that Ron Paul argues about the dangers (and cost) of federal government encroachment into every aspect of our lives. It's not supposed to be this way folks. We should know better than to vote for yet another slippery character that changes opinions like underwear.

Everybody knows that OBAMA is the best.
Go OBAMA. we don't want a dinasty again Bush-Clinton.

Thursday night as I watched Hillary and Obama talk something struck me... Hillary constantly refers to herself. So today I went back to their Thursday night talks. In 10 minutes Hillary said "I, me, and/or my" 41 times. Obama refered to himself 15 times. Now it's hard for me to even listen to Hillary talk... she is so self absorbed.

i am a democrat and john MCcain has my vote

I am an American and Dennis Kucinich has my vote.

I wish more New Hampshire residents would wake up before they get swindled by Obama, Edwards, or Clinton.

2% is a joke and as a Kucinich supporter, I am disappointed at how poorly New Hampshire people are at realizing the truth behind each of these establishment candidates (Obama, Edwards, Richardson, Clinton).

Vote insurgent candidates. Vote Dennis Kucinich or Ron Paul.

Hey Obama, Clinton, Edwards, and Paul supporters: Please don't beat up on each other or the candidates. Any one of those candidates would be a significant change from what we have endured for most of the past forty years. Most of the Republican candidates are falling all over themselves to continue the Nixon/Reagan/Bush legacy, so lets keep things in perspective. The candidate you bash now may be our best hope in November.

RON PAUL is the candidate for change. If you support personal freedoms and believe in the constitution, he's the correct candidate. Take 10 minutes listen to his message.

I am an independant who has finally found our candidate. For the first time ever, I have donated money to a polictian. Ron Paul has raised 19 million dollars and it all comes from the people.

Vote for a representative to change that will take us back to land of freedom!

Obama needs to say what he's changing, he has no substance people. I'd rather have Bill Clinton in the White House, at least he might see that the debt is brought down. There goes that lie from Ron Paul about Obama being against going to Iraq, HE WAS NOT IN SENATE, HE DID NOT VOTE, HE HAS ONLY BEEN IN THE SENATE A FEW YEARS. IN HIS HEART, MAYBE HE DIDN'T WANT THE WAR, WELL NEITHER DID I. YET HE SAT THERE WHEN HE ARRIVED IN SENATE AND VOTED TO FUND BUSH'S WAR EVERYTIME, THEREBY CONTINUING THE WAR. Obama is insincere look up his record instead of voting blindly.

These primaries are a joke. Have you people seen the results of the latest delegate numbers? Hillary Clinton is at 56% of delegate support vs. Obama's 22%.

The DNC will pick Hillary not Obama. Your vote means nada.

Posted by: Joe | Jan 5, 2008 8:38:30 PM

The country wants change that is clear from Obama's win. But if you are going to make change you have to have the experience to do it. Obama just doesn't have it. Idealism doesn't in and of itself make change.

Go Ron Paul!!

Posted by: Tony Elswick | Jan 5, 2008 8:48:04 PM

Anyone that votes for ANY REPUBLICAN after 8 years of BUSH is just a moron. Go ahead and try to defend your current Republican clown in office to the rest of us.

Posted by: TampaJoey | Jan 5, 2008 8:54:58 PM

Hillary Clinton is talking about experience, what experience has she got except that she is enjoying the goodwill of her husband. I see her loosing in NH. Obama has more definite messages and people are tired of Hillary rhetoric

Posted by: Kunle | Jan 5, 2008 8:55:44 PM

Obama is not electable, period. If people didn't put Kerry in the White House how could you possibly think Obama will survive the southern states. Kerry won, NY and Calif. lost every southern state, lost the election. Obama straw man for the republicans along with Hillary. Vote for John Edwards he is the change and will stand up for the people.

To this point unfortunately, we are forced to watch the political race through the eyes of our televisions, which well, is not accurate. Everyone, screams health care reform to provide universal health care. The truth is, that won't help. That will only increase taxes and limit access to quality physicians and technology. It sets up a system of waiting to see a physician, and waiting even longer to be treated. The dems do a good job selling it, but I encourage a person to actually research Canada's and the UK's system. They will be greatly disappointed. There is a reason, why foreign doctors come here to train and practice. Change starts when an individual takes responsibility for there health, changing the health insurance company from a for profit company with investors and CEO earning 50 million dollar bonus, doctors realizing their moral oath to the patient, and finally dare I say a lawyers ability to prey on our weak and injured. Docs are required by law to provide care to all who come to the ER, regardless of the patients ability to pay. When was the last time a malpractice lawyer required to help all who come to their door. I encourage all who read look at your phone
