Bill Clinton Gets Some Love at the End of a Long Day in Ohio

ABC News' Sarah Amos reports:  After an admittedly long day, trecking across Ohio, former President Clinton got to end the night on a high, and more importantly, peaceful note in Marietta, Ohio.

Clinton landed in Ohio at 3 a.m., was at church by 8 a.m., and didn't roll into the final rally until 9 p.m. But while the hours were tough, the crowds had been tougher.

The ex president was repeatedly heckled by a man in Canton, Ohio, who later went up to the rope line to continue scolding Clinton for being negative during his campaigning for Hillary.

Clinton's next stop, in Steubenville, led to a now well-known eruption with anti-abortion hecklers in the audience.

So, the president had to feel happy with the friendly welcome he got tonight in Marietta, especially with his introduction from Gov. Ted Strickland.

Strickland told the crowd, "I wish the media would scan this audience and let them see the number of people who are here." Strickland went on to say that Ohio would prove that it is Hillary country, and then made the audience turn around and wave at all the cameras, to prove the support Hillary has in this state.

Sure, it wasn't much, but after the day Clinton had, the gesture had to be welcomed.

The Clinton's will use any means to get back into the Whitehouse. Both Clinton's are so power hungry they will do anything to achieve thier aims..Unfortunately that does not include what is best for the American people.. ALl this nonsense about the middle class is just hype, originally it was for the poor; if Clinton gets into the WH we will all be destitute

Even if the heckler is an Obama supporter, he is a democrat. A democrat supporter heckling a democrat nominee in a democrat campaign event

I hear so much about the negativity and dity tricks of the Clintons but I have never heard any specifics or seen any proof. Republicans with the help of Ken Starr spent years trying to dig up dirt on the Clintons. Starr found NOTHING. When they finally realized they couldn't get any dirt on the Clintons they set up the Monica trap. For those of you who don't believe it was a set-up; why did she keep the soiled dress?? I agree it wasn't the brightest thing to do but it was between Bill and Hillary and had nothing to do with his being one of the best presidents in our recent history. The dirty republican tricks will continue with them crossing political lines to vote against Hillary and keep her out of the White House. A vote for Obama is a vote for the republican sleaze machine.

I was at the Canton rally yesterday when the "heckler" made a jerk out of himself. The heckler talked into his cell phone, laughed, yelled, danced and positioned himself in front of the media for face time. He was politely asked several times by people in the audience to stop yelling so we could hear Mr. Clinton speak. His behavior was weird and he was being watched by the police. He doesn't deserve any media coverage and I can't believe the Obama camp would condone this behavior.

I was at the Clinton rally yesterday at Timken High School in Canton, Ohio. I witnessed this "event" from less than 15 yards from where it occurred, at the "rope line" following Clinton's presentation.

At no time did President Clinton slap this man's face.

What I did see and experience, throughout the rally, was Mr. Holeman's completely obnoxious, repulsive, juvenile and erratic behavior.

The campaign season brings out the kooks, Mr. Holeman case in point.

Finally the media might start believing and give the Clintons some fair news time. The Obama camp is planting people at Hillary and President Clinton's rally's!!! Also they have these ladies fainting at Obama's speeches. Wake up America. This is not high school - we are going to elect a President of the United States. Now more then ever I want Hillary Clinton as the next president. I am scared of Obama and his followers.

the origin of all this negativity is obvious: a lot of people really hate Hillary. Regardless of whether or not Obama or Hillary has more supporters, the fact that there is far far less hatred of Obama is clear reason that he would be a much better president, not to mention way more likely to beat a Republican in the general election.

President Barrack Hussein Obama ??? I don't think so!!! When will America wake up and smell the coffee! The Jr Sen. falls short in so many areas and yet you fall for this showman!
Yes, he's educated, yet not intelligent...Yes, he's charismatic but that isn't enough to enable him capable of running Your country. As for McCaine, do you really want to swop one "Bubba" for another? I think not...besides, the poor guy looks ill! Which leave Hillary, yes, I saved the best till last...She is the ONLY candidate with the required experience, who has solutions (and as "Bubba" has spent everything, do you need solutions) to start the slow process of getting America back on track.

It was a great event in Marietta. I just wish his press people would have been less rude.

How hopeful is the argument that my candidate is less hated than yours? It's these plebian thought processes that got Bush into office. Gore told everyone what Bush was going to do. And he did it. The top 1% just got richer and our economy is in the toilet. Clinton is telling us that Obama doesn't have the network in place to get anything done. He will have to rely on his cabinet's advice and networking to pass anything in congress. And that worked so well with Bush. I want to elect the person who will be making the decisions, not rely on thier cabinet. Not to mention, while Obama is changing the way things are done in Washington, how happy are the movers and shakers going to be? Happy enough to give thier vote to historic bills supporting universal healthcare (which he doesn't think will happen, obviously, considering the huge loop hole he's given himself. If you don't want it, you can't be forced into it. Like the homeless and the abandoned mom and kids don't want healthcare. Seems a bit cynical to me. Try to win a campaign on healthcare and have absolutely no intention of committing to its implimentation.) It's a lose, lose situation. I don't believe Obama will win in Nov. if he squeaks by with delegates. And if, by some miracle he does, his first term will be disillusioning. The press will tear him apart while his most ardant supporters will either hide, or shake thier head in disbelief.

It goes to show you that you can't keep a good candidate down. Go Hillary!!! It's admirable that her husband is doing his part to help out. As for the "heckler" he was on Obama's side.. it's the type of weird folk he's been attracting.. no class and less brains.

TX is a dead heat.

OH is down to 6% points.

PA is down to 8%

this is with a few weeks to before the primaries.

She's done.
