Clinton Pokes Fun at Obama Referencing Celestial Choirs
February 24, 2008 3:54 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., continued to critique presidential rival, Sen. Barack Obama's speaking style, poking fun at him speaking in Rhode Island Sunday afternoon.
"None of the problems we face will be easily solved. Now, I could stand up here and say lets just get everybody together, lets get unified." Clinton continued, "the sky will open, the light will come down celestial choirs will be singing, and everyone will know that we should do the right thing and the world will be perfect. Maybe I'm just lived a little long but I have no illusions about how hard this will be. You are not going to wave a magic wand and make the special interests disappear."
Clinton continued to attack Obama, D-Ill., for misleading voters about her health care plan saying what was "inexplicable to me is his refusal to put forth a plan for universal health care. And his continuing attacks on my plan to do so. I believe Senator Obama says one thing in speeches but his campaign does something else" Clinton charged. "In his speech he says he has a universal healthcare but his plan is not. His plan can not cover everyone because there is no requirement that people be covered."
Clinton held the rally in Providence, which was sandwiched by two fundraisers. The New York senator acknowledged that her Democratic rival was out-spending her in this state, but reassured her supporters that she was raking in one million dollars a day, She then urged her guests to go to her Web site to see what she is doing, and asked for a little help as well.
At a rally in Toledo, Ohio, today, Obama responded, "This morning, apparently, she said, 'well, ya know, it's just an illusion, it's a delusion to think that, somehow, you're just going to wish all the special interest power in Washington away, that you're just going to somehow wish it away, that they're just going to go away, because you hope it happens.'
"Well, she's right about that, but it doesn’t help if you take a million dollars, or 2 million dollars, or 3 million dollars, or 5 million dollars from lobbyists for the special interests. It definitely won't go away then. Anyway, we can change our trade agreements to reflect the interests of all people. We can invest in infrastructure in this country."

Wow, Jim and Maria,
I thought maybe I was the only one crazy enough to see Hillary's failure to acknowledge and thank her volunteers and supporters in the States she lost was rude, short-sighted and indicative of what she really thinks of voters and how she would discard you once you had given her your help.
I also thought that if I was one of the people who are constantly told I didn't count and my support was not even important enough for Hillary to compete for I would never vote for her or support her or her policies...even if she became President. I prefer even the Baptist Minister Huckabee to her who, at least, is continuing to run to give a voice to a group he fears may not get much voice in a (god forbid)McCain White house

If any of you think Hillary will not fight to be heard, you have a lot to learn. Furthermore, if you think her supporters will run to support Obama, you have much more to learn. He has been playing both ends of the spectrum. He talks about the ability to be a healer with hope and plans to bring everyone together, while he plays the race card, plagiarizes speeches, copies Hillary's plans or distorts her plans, and then tries to appear above the fray. He is not truthful, and he tries to play dodgeball to avoid the truth coming out before the convention. We will soon see how much teflon he is covered in. It's thinner than you think. If people are beguiled enough to think he is presidential, they may be surprised when Nader and McCain come calling.
People can give Nader a chance, "hold their noses" and vote for McCain, write in another choice, or be totally turned off and not vote.
Certainly, the future of this country is at stake, but, I will not vote for him. He is more of a risk than any of them, and I'll take my chance on someone who knows more of the complex issues. Lofty speeches? I still have a vision in my head of him trying to deliver Patick's speech as his own. His attempt to sound as original as Patrick is a comedy!

and for the ones that say they will "never" vote for Barack -- let's see what happens when you get the call that your sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, a close friend or loved one was being sent to fight in McCain's 100 Year War.
Petty petty petty

Nader agrees with HRC. Nader, calling Obama "the first liberal evangelist in a long time," criticized the Illinois Democrat for having been "pro-Palestine when he was in Illinois, before he ran for the state senate" but now "supporting the Israeli destruction" of Gaza.

Ok were in her speech did she say Obama said this?? I guess he must of said this line somewhere for the media to say she is making fun of Obama, and if he did give a speech about the sky will open if you voted for him what kind of nonsense is that?
Once again Hillary has said something and rather than the media understanding the message that she is trying to make they attack her.
If she is lying can the media then tell all of us exactly how Obama is going to fix all our problems because am not hearing it from him, so before they slam Hillary well then give me the proof that what she is saying is totally wrong and Obama is the best thing for America.

All that you mentioned is silly, it does not affect our every day life. Any one can sign a piece of paper . The question is what has he really done, other then all that garbage. HRC has helped Millions of children, now thats something.

I personally find BO arrogant, mean and sexist.
The big rock star effect is missing on me.. A vote for OBAMA is a vote for McCain. Come September in that booth
after BO has had to take on the Real Fighters the republicans.. he will look like a fool

David: "At least I know that if HRC loses to Obama, I can vote for Nader , but most likely I will go McCain . Why take a risk and let 666(The Beast) take command?"
I've seen this message quite a few times in the past couple weeks. Is this the new Clinton line of attack, that Obama is the anti-Christ?
That one might not play so well. But good luck with it.
As an aside, I remember when Reagan was the anti-Christ, because each of his names had six letters, lol.

Just Hillary sniping once again. She is losing ground to Obama and cannot seem to come up with anything but shrewish remarks. From an informed voter and friends - Shut Up Hillary - we grow exceedingly tired of your rhetoric.

Good Georgia,
The Obama followers are running by their own emotions, not by their brains.
Even my husband, that never care for Hillary -he was a republican-, now like her, because she is really smart and have specific answers; what a contrast, the media is not asking Obama the same questions... We are really getting sicker and sicker about our future if we have Obama as a president. Mc Cain, will have our vote.

Followers of Omaba, wake up and don't treat the guy like your personal savior. You all have brains. Please stop the cult like worhship. This is a presidential election and not a cult revival fellowship. Wake up!!!

Thats the way to go, I also feel the same way, go McCain. It will be my first Republican vote in my life. I will change to Independent like Lou Dobbs.

She is right its so sad that the media does not want to do their work. She can stand up at any rally and promise the moon and the stars, tell everyone what just sounds great but delivering all that she promise if she gets the nod will be the hardest thing.
For some they seem to love all these empty promises of HOPE they hook on to it, what is going to happen if after the first 100 days they wake up and notice that they have been duped, the messenger cannot deliver the good?
The media is just sitting around looking on, what do they feel if Obama makes it and things gets worse they will be immune to what is going on in the country when the population suffers everyone aches, so I cannot understand the media role in all this and the absence of them not doing their work and getting this man Obama to really answer what exactly it is he can deliver to this country.

I just visited the official blog at the Hillary Clinton site. Here's part of their good news of the day, I quote:
If You Watch One Thing Today: “Bastrop women ages 91 and 101 vote Clinton.”
That tells it all.

That tells me that the wise , who happen to be the old are going for HRC.
Children do not know any better. Maybe they (the young) should follow example.
Posted by: Latasha | Feb 24, 2008 5:44:20 PM
Right and young 18 yr old first time clueless voters are running after Obama so that tell you all!!!
But tomorrow when the election is over I will still have to find the money to put food on my table, and HOPE cant feed my kids.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Just like Obama, half truths. Here is the whole sentence: (Quoted from official Hillary website)
"If You Watch One Thing Today: “Bastrop women ages 91 and 101 vote Clinton.” Both Texas women were born before women had the right to vote."

The video of this little performance is not very presidential. To say the least. She's lashing out in desperation and it ain't pretty.
