Clinton Says Campaign Needed More Help
February 11, 2008 9:47 AM
ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Senator Clinton denied allegations Monday morning that her campaign manager, Patti Solis Doyle, was scapegoated saying, "that is not the case at all. She is a dear friend, a trusted adviser and there's just too much to be done."
During an event in Washington, D.C., Clinton said the campaign is in need of more help.
Watch the VIDEO HERE.
"We had to add some more people and she’s remaining as my senior adviser working with me on politics and a lot of very difficult issues that we are confronting. There really is no significant change it’s merely that we’ve got to get more help we just don’t have enough help and we are putting in more people."
Clinton was asked if the move will hurt her among Latino voters. "No not at all we have a very strong base and she is deeply involved in the campaign going forward as she always has been for 16 years"
When asked how Clinton feels going into tomorrow after a rough weekend, Clinton looked beyond tomorrow to March 4th saying “Well we always knew this was going to be rough. I had no illusions about that. I feel very good about Ohio and Texas and we're going forward.”

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Clinton Says Campaign Needed More Help:
Seems like an odd time in a campaign to be changing personnel, but I suppose she feels she has to. I was surprised to see her choice for replacement. As I was reminded this morning, this is the woman who a secret service agent testified was removing boxes of files from Vince Foster's office after the suicide. Tapping her for campaign manager only seems likely to open up conversations about this and other Clinton White House events/accusations, etc.
Maybe the Clintons see some advantage in this? That's an interesting thought. Let the Republican outlets get all fired up over the new campaign manager, and the Clintons can fall back into impeachment defense mode, with a hope that most Democrats will rally around them.

So, Sen. Obama again says he doesn't care about the voters of Florida and lumps in Ohio (Becasue he thinks he will lose there too.)
While I appreciate that he has done well in small states, particularly with caucuses - states like Florida, Ohio, Penn, NJ and Michagan will decide the winner in November.
If one candidate wins both Ohio and Texas - that person will be our nominee. If not, this will continue until Pennsylvania!

Maggie Williams is an old Whitewater crony of the Clintons, so I guess this will be just like old times then - what fun! :-)

Are you backpeddling AGAIN, Hillary? So, if, as you're quoted as saying, this is not a 'significant change' and you just 'needed more help', why didn't you just hire some new help and not demote this 'dear friend and trusted advisor'? Spin! Spin! Spin!

Maybe, now that she's sure she has the Latino vote in her back pocket, she did what she's been wanting to do since before California, but couldn't since it might anger them. She probably figures by the time of the Texas primary, the Latinos and Hispanic voters will have forgotten that she dumped her campaign manager. Her supporters are so expendable that she didn't even publicy acknowledge the ones who DID vote for her over the week-end even though she lost. I really didn't expect her to congratulate Obama, but I didn't think she'd just ignore the primaries and cauceses. She'll probably back-peddle on that, too, and put out a statement once she sees critisims about her lack of gratitude for her supporters.

Well, Senator Clinton, if your campaign manager wasn't a scapegoat, why don't you get rid of the two people who ARE the real problem with your campaign? Oh, right...divorcing BILL would be so awkward at this stage, and if YOU resigned there wouldn't be a campaign at all. Silly me.
Posted by: Publius | Feb 11, 2008 10:42:54 AM
Obama forces tried to pack a city party meeting in Ann Arbor so they could make it look like there was a groundswell for ignoring the Michigan primary. That's very very old politics.

Hillary Clinton can do what she damn well pleases. people always have to think the worst of her. If all you people out there think your so perfact try walking on water!! as for as I'm concerend there Is not anyone running for president, Repub.or Dem. that can turn this country around. It's like a circus out there and their all clowen's. and the news media just cheer's It on. I will be so glad when this election Is over with, and may the best clown win!!

That's a good point, dream on. Why would someone not wanting to see anything about the political races spend time reading a blog like this one? I can see people in places like Iowa and New Hampshire having a complaint about campaigns being forced down their throats, but now that the race is expanded to mulitiple states over a rapid pace, its pretty to easy to hide from them if you want to.

Hey Take Back the Country...who are we taking it back from? And didn't the NY Times endorse Hillary? Wouldn't be so good for them is Bama won would it...and considering the fact that she's still senator of the state,...well...

RELEASE your TAX return Hillary.
your refusal to release it while Obama did makes it look lik you are hiding something from people.

Obama: please release your campaign fundraising details, so we can be sure that you have given back EVERY RED CENT of that $100,000 donation from your "friend" Rezko of 17 years, who now sits in jail on corruption and money laundering charges in Illinois

A Campaign Manager dont just step down in the middle of a Big Campaign! There more here then meets the eye.Yo amgios, Clinton No, Obama Si!

I understand that campaigns have to look where their bread and butter is however I would find it insulting that the Clinton campaign is not giving any of her voters credit for their work this weekend, not even giving this week and second thought and focusing all her efforts for the next month.
What does that tell you as a voter and supporter.... do what you can but i dont really need or want you.
If i were her I would be thanking all my hard working supporters for what they have done and continue to do instead of pretending like they dont matter.

Clinton expected to have the nomination tied up by now. She has changed her approach several times - from experience - to agent of change - to maternal - etc. She has used Bill as her pitbull and when that didn't work - she changed campaign managers. Obama has remained consistant throughout and that is why he is succeeding.

Getting dumped by Clinton is the best thing possible. This way she will get to a lifeboat before the Titanic goes down and not have the stench of LOSING the nomination that Maggie will now where.
Posted by: ChgoSaint | Feb 11, 2008 12:55:56 PM
I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal about this. Senator McCain has changed his staff many times, and look where he is now? It's just another unimportant detail that the media is trying to criticize Clinton for.

I believe whatever Hillary says about this. We all know she is always truthful in all of her campaign news releases.
Posted by: LongT | Feb 11, 2008 1:05:27 PM
Would it hurt her among Latino voters? Was this some sort of slick set-up, to get out the fact she has Latino's working in her campaign? Seriously, we didn't even know the woman was a Latino and may of us don't even care anyway.
I'm a Latino myself. You think I care if she has Latino's or not? Think I care if she downgraded or replaced one of them? This smells like a rat with the press playing right along. I hope others can see this for what it is - if it is what I suspect it is.
Shame on the press for playing shameless games. Her name is Clinton. She has the Clinton machine. She doesn't need anymore help than that.
Message to the press: you're suppose to report the news. Your job isn't to manufacture news or manipulate a headline in favor of or to disadvantage someone.
Shameless.

Obama is good at talking but at thinking. If he was elected president I believe this country would be in a disaster. He doesn't know the first step about foreign policy, or what changes should be made. That's a phony speech he's giving to the college students and they are eating it up because they don't know any better. Do you think he's going to do what he says? The answer is no. His idea of change from old politics is electing a black president from a white president. That's what his change is all about. But I read between his lines because I have voted for many, many presidents and he is the most cunning in speaking and saying nothing.

Paul,
""Let the Republican outlets get all fired up over the new campaign manager, and the Clintons can fall back into impeachment defense mode, with a hope that most Democrats will rally around them""
There will no defending the Clinton's this time around.
That Ring Wing conspiracy stuff, exist in the minds of the Clinton's only - well them and their die-hard supporters. Any Dem. of reasonable intelligence will flat out refuse any sort of conspiracy talk, Investigation from Day 1, partisan divide, etc.
I can name 15 reasons off the top of my head why she is not a good candidate, dislike is not among them. I don't dislike Hillary at all. I just happen to like the party philosophy and the nation much better. And I think for the party and the nation too have success, Hillary should not be the nominee.
If by some fluke she is the nominee, there won't be ANY defending of them by me. I won't even listen to ANYTHING they have to say. Heard it before, don't need a repeat.
Posted by: Mark Br. | Feb 11, 2008 1:23:38 PM
Hillary is struggling, it's one thing to change around some staff, maybe change what they're working on. However, at a time when you're approaching whats going to make or break your campaign and you change your manager. That doesn't look too friendly or too confident to me. Something of that says "I feel you're incompetent to lead us to victory in these coming primaries so I'm going to find someone who can."
Also, in reference to the people talking about how she didn't even mention or thank the people who were coming out and voting and putting their life savings on the line in donations for her. She commented she had raised $10 mil in donations since Feb 1st... that's just talking money, thats not thanking those who gave it. Obama on the contrary has every time came out, maybe on not that night but the next speech he gives and thanked everyone who has continued to donate or continued to support him and hasn't change his stance on the issues at hand. I would also like to remind people reading this who start talking about Hillary being more experienced.. maybe not in this article but others. Martin Luther King didn't have experience, Rosa Parks didn't have experience, John F. Kennedy didn't have experience, Gandhi nor Anne Frank had experience when they took the lead and changed the world.

Hillary you have been scapegoated by the M?dia. But now you have a new manager so there much happy with her but your already screwed. Time for change I will seek McCain as was my first thought he is a conservative and does not cherry pick as they do for you and Obama.
Posted by: Gloria | Feb 11, 2008 1:50:55 PM
All the states Obama won are nothing compared to the big states that Hillary won and that he wanted to win and couldn't. And its not how many states you win its the total delegates you have with the superdelegates and she is ahead in superdelegates. Every time Obama wins a state Hillary gets some of the delegates which increases her total. And changing of the guards sometimes is for the best. I believe that Solis was not handling the financial like she should and over spent when she didn't have to. You don't over spend for states like Iowa or New Hampshire or the small states that Obama won. Maggie Williams will work out well for Hillary and she probably should have hired her months ago. But there is still Texas, Ohio and PA to win and those states she should win like she won in the previous big states and that would give her a good balance of delegates.
Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | Feb 11, 2008 1:52:18 PM
I'll start the conversation by mentioning the fact that Hillary has fired her campaign manager this past weekend. The media is once again implying that the Clinton camp is in disarray.
Wake UP Media -- It's another Trap!
Remember how the media had Hillary DOWN and OUT before New Hampshire because 'members' of the Hillary camp IMPLIED that they didn't know if they could pull out a win after having lost Iowa?
Well -- they are doing the 'FEEL SORRY' for me trap again -- along with all Hillary's TEAR episodes. Don't be suckered into believing she's 'losing' or 'in trouble'. Don't forget the fantastic maneuver her camp made by 'leaking' that Hillary had to 'loan' her campaign 5 million dollars -- within a week she got over 10 million for donors, 'feeling sorry' for her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the way, anybody every wonder why in just 2 months we've heard about or seen Hillary crying or getting 'welled up' the day before the next primary or caucus three times now -- but in the 8 years of the Clinton administration, through the sex scandal and the Impeachment trial of her husban, and through 7 years of constant reminders from the right wing about Bill, not once did we hear about TEARS coming from this woman.

It is stupid to think that latinos will not vote fo Hillary now that Patty Solis is gone.
It makes laugh!
Posted by: patty | Feb 11, 2008 1:58:15 PM
Manuel,
I agree with your post. I think the media and the others that character assault the Clinton's is reprehensible. It is very scary the power that the media has over (especially) those that do not use their brain to think and only believe what twisted stories the media and others present. Presently journalists, pundits, and "talking heads", instead of just REPORTING the facts like they are supposed to do, get up on their soapboxes like preachers and lecture like there is no tomorrow about their own opinion (presently 99.9% of the media is Pro-Obama--in the last 8 years they have protected Bush and not said anything negative about what he has done to this country, and people had elected bush A 2nd TIME, after they knew what he was like the first 4 years). I would NOT be surprised if these same Americans voted for Obama and we find ourselves in WORSE of a mess in 4 years-----THEN THEY'll ELECT HIM FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Posted by: Illinois for Hillary | Feb 11, 2008 2:00:10 PM
Mariann Pepitone --- I think we have seen how good "experience is." We have had "experience". I can't imagine inexperience can do worse. Of course, if Hilliarry wins, can Chelsea count that as experience when she runs the way Hilliarry counts her husbands eight years in office as her "experience".
Posted by: ChgoSaint | Feb 11, 2008 2:06:56 PM
I don't understand the point of switching campaign managers, and implying this makes a difference.
People are supposed to vote on the candidate's character and policies. If the country truly wanted Hillary Clinton, no one would care how much money she had, or who ran the campaign. She has been losing support over the last month, that's plain.
I will add that her focus on "Big States" is faulty. She seems to be more focused on winning delegates, than voters. She's leaving out vast swaths of the country that will come back to bite her in the end. It's not Stratego - it's the presidency.
I'm voted for Obama because he seems to want to court all states, all voters, and is also willing to work with moderate republicans.
I looked at it from the standpoint of "When the president walks into the houses of Congress and says 'please pass this bill' - which candidate has the greatest chance of getting this done?"
Hillary Clinton's obsession about demonizing republicans shows she will not be able to do this. You need to respect the colleagues across the aisle, even when you disagree. Her scars go too deep for her to rise above partisanship.
Posted by: Arielle | Feb 11, 2008 2:12:04 PM
Hillary cried AGAIN over the weekend. I would hate to see what happened if she ever had a "real" issue to deal with.
Posted by: ChgoSaint | Feb 11, 2008 2:12:25 PM
Mariann Pepitone - you are correct in that its a question of total delegates.
CBS is reporting that Obama now has opened up a large enough lead in pledged delegates so as to hold the overall lead when factoring in known super delegate endorsements.
MSNBC doesn't have Obama's total as high, but has him within 30 or so, pledged and super delegates combined.
I think CNN is showing the largest Clinton lead.
And Obama clearly has momentum, both in terms of national perception of this race and, from what I read this morning, in terms of making gains in Texas and Ohio.
Posted by: Paul | Feb 11, 2008 2:12:40 PM
Just to clarify, I don't mean to imply Clinton is out of it. Far from.
But today I'd say Obama has a slightly better chance of winning the nomination than Clinton.
If she were to pull a win tomorrow, that could change in an instant.
Posted by: Paul | Feb 11, 2008 2:15:41 PM
In spite of the Cilnton spin, Ohio and Texas do not offset Hillary's recent and possible approaching losses. The contests over the weekend and the Potomac primaries award more than 100 delegates more than Texas plus Ohio. The Giuliani strategy did not work for Giuliani and it won't work for Hillary. Every state counts and every loss hurts.

"Clinton Says Campaign Needed More Help"
Couldn't be because her candidacy follows the Mitt! model could it?
The "R" in HRC might as well standard for Romney. Two peas in a pod.
Posted by: The Commander Guy | Feb 11, 2008 3:42:05 PM
If Hillary manages to squeak out a nomination despite what the polls say, it will because the "Super Delegates" have determined that you don't know enough to vote and decided who should win for you.
Posted by: Patriot2008 | Feb 11, 2008 3:55:27 PM
Correction: I am a Florida resident. Florida is not a caucus state; Florida is a primary state. I have many concerns with Obama.
To Manuel. I guess you can speak for all Latinos right? You know how every Latino is going to vote? Wow, you are psychic.
Illinois for Hillary, I am with you. The media attention to one candidate is awful. I have already e-mailed CNN for starters on that subject. I agree with everything you said.
Take back the counry: I hear you. While Senator Clinton and the rest of the candidates were using their campaign money to pay for their campaign, Obama received huge donations from Oprah, including free television coverage, rallies put on by Oprah, etc. How much did that cost Obama from campaign funds. Maybe he should release that. Hillary doesn't let anyone push her around. She will release her income tax returns when she receives the nomination. She isn't hiding anything. She has already said she would. For those of you who want to accuse Hillary of spin, spin, spin...."people in glass houses don't throw stones." Look at yourselves.
Obama and his campaign did not even bother to put his name on the Michigan primary I mean, why would he? He had nothing to gain? In Florida, neither candidate was to put their commercials on T.V. down here, but Obama did it anyway. He is now answering to the democratic committee for that move. When asked why, he said, he didn't know it was against the rules; his people said he could. Well, ignorance of the law is no excuse. If he was the man he says he is, he would be fighting for Michigan and Florida voters. There's not enough in it for him to stand up for us. And I am sure he is afraid. Michigan might just hold another primary. Florida won't. We voted, and the state, not the voters or the candidates should be penalized. It does not surprize me with the very great possiblity that Michigan will vote again, that now Obama is going to rush to Ann Arbor and do damage control. Hillary won by an very large margin here in FL without a campaign visit from her or COMMERCIALS.
Obama knew not to advertise in MI, but not in FL? How odd is that? How believable is that. Obama can't blame his people. The buck stops with him, and "I didn't know", is not an excuse that I want from him as a President.
Obama was asked how the superdelegates should vote. His immediate response was they should vote according to the states. When the interviewer said, well, in that case, Superdelegate, Ted Kennedy would be voting for Clinton. Then he began to spin his answer, and tried to change it. Don't believe me? Look it up. It's on CNN.
As to Obama's claim he was never for the war..... Obama was asked, if he COULD have voted, how would he have voted? Obama said, he would have voted for the war. Obama was not even in the Senate at the time when the Senate voted to go to war vs. not to go; this is why the interviewer said, if you COULD have voted. His one claim to fame with the war is a fairy tale, just as President Clinton tried to tell all of you. But again, the media spent more time screaming and complaining about how it was said, and deflected what was said, and is true. Don't believe me, look it up.
I can't understand all the Obama mania going on. Clearly, among all the democratic candidates, he comes with the weakest credentials, accomplishments and experience. He accused Senator Clinton of being "the establishment", and then accepts the endorsement of the epitomy of establishment, Ted Kennedy. His involvement with this senator also makes me wonder. What does Ted want in return? Ted Kennedy is not really someone you want backing you, particlarly someone as new in politics as Obama. Obama should watch who he is associating with. Ted Kennedy is not a man of character. I am sure the majority of you know what I mean by that.
The reference to his similarity to President Kennedy in his speeches, also a false truth. MSNBC had an article on line with the original writer of President Kennedy's speeches. This man is 79, retired, and has been coaching and writing for Senator Obama and his young writers, and throwing him lines. The intention of the Kennedy family is all too clear. And this from Obama who wants changes in Washington, the same old people. What does he think Ted Kennedy is. New? The ressurection of Camelot, was and is a Kennedy failed plan. Their endorsement meant nothing in MA and nothing in CA. Hillary won them both.
Obama is a skilled politician nothing more; he has no great array of experience or accomplishment either internationally or domestically to give him the highest position in our country, particularly at this time in history.
Senator Clinton, Senator Biden, Governor Richardson, Senator Edwards -- this was our group of talented and accomplished leaders; among all of these people, including the ones that I did not list, Senator Obama is the weakest candidate. What a terrible waste, how sad I will feel if this man becomes President.

I just read the article on Hillary's statement today about the losses over the weekend. She really DID say that states like North Dakota and Alaska weren't going to matter in November, and she won the states that would.
I'm sorry, that is perhaps the dumbest thing to come out of a candidate's mouth yet this political season. EVEN IF IT WERE TRUE, you just don't SAY that.
How could she be so stupid???

So Clinton has traded in her Hispanic campaign manager for an African-American. I wonder why? Is it because California, New Mexico, Arizona and other Latino-heavy states have already voted, and that African-American heavy states will be voting tomorrow? This woman it so transparent, so lacking in integrity that it's sickening.

Hillary did so much for this country and people only remember her mistakes, Obama didn't do anything and people only imagine his hope and perfect future of this country, what's wrong here?
Posted by: quan | Feb 11, 2008 5:31:07 PM
So from what year on did Sen Obama release his tax returns. I only ask because he started putting all his ducks in a row once he was in the senate. Did he release his wife's cause I'd love to see those. What about any paperwork with the Rezko deal if it was all so innocent. You want to call out the Clintons fine because they have done some dumb things but ask the same of the guy you are calling a saint.
As for forgetting about the Latino supporter get real. Puerto Rico has 63 delegates up for grabs that is who may decide all of this. You think the Clinton campaign want to #### them off?
Speaking of forgetting people who are of no use to you - how many shout outs has Obama given to the good people of Florida and Michigan who cared enough to want to be heard even when the party at state level had screwed it up. Don't say Hillary only did because she won he didn't even acknowledge their efforts and wasn't the voters fault he just kept saying they didn't count even though he had run ad's there through a back door loop hole. That wording may bite him on the butt. In the last 2 elections Florida has been decided by less than 1% and 5% it is a take back state unless people think you don't give a toot about them. Alot of people are also quite annoyed about how he says I'll get her voters but she won't get mine I wouldn't count on a total conversion. Alot of Hillary supporters have been called racist, feminist, uneducated and lower class by Obama supporters and had it inferred by him he is very good with words and so many people are not happy and they may just do what Obama supporters threaten simply not vote or go to McCain who is moderate for a Republican. So the question is will he get enough voters to win enough states.
I am not saying Hillary will get enough either but there is an awful lot of assuming going on at Obama HQ. It is closer than people realise. Clinton topped him in delegates in Alabama (only obamas site has it otherwise) shared delegate count in missouri won the popular vote but not the delegates by one in New Hampshire. We all know certain states aren't winnable so weigh up the ones that are in play and with a big supporter bases. That is what the superdelegates will do. I get confused how he swings between its delegates that count and its states that count. If Ohio and Texas etc go as predicited I guess it will be states again. I also enjoy the whole superdelegate uproar started by Obama as part of his underdog stratergy. I just can't recall him or others jumping up and down about it in prior elections or before Iowa for that matter. It probably is recorded in that same mystery chamber where he "didn't VOTE for the war" Certain rules favoured him in Nevada, Florida and Michigan and he was all for them but this one doesn't so he is morally outraged and basically threatening officals of corruption. Yet he is an elected official and doesn't he have to decide to do what is right even if it isn't always popular. He is doing great, he is in front and kudos to him but he is doing damage as well so don't go blaming the Clinton campaign if it all goes wrong.

Hillary says; "Well we always knew this was going to be rough. I had no illusions about that." Bull! Bull! and still more Bull! You thought in October that your only competition was John Edwards and Joe Biden and it would most likely be a cake walk for you and Bill Clinton. You had no idea Obama would turn out to be the one to beat! Make it up as you go along.

I can not stand the negative mean spirited divisive and hate filled blogs from the Obama supporters any more.
I will tell all my friends and family that, as a Democrat, I will vote for the Democratic candidate.
But in the privacy of the voting booth, I will cast my vote for McCain, if Clinton in not on the ballot.
I would rather have a moderate republican for 4 years, than reward the mean spirited Obama supporters on all of these blogs.
Perhaps this is what the media wants and that is why they Always run positive articles for Obama and ALways run negative articles about the Clintons, but the Obma supporters merely add fuel to the fire of hate and division--enough.
In my 32 years as a Democrat, I will for the first time ever vote for a Republican--McCain.
And yes, I live in a swing state.
-Anonymous Democrat for Hillary Clinton.

I commend some of the Hillary supporters like "Florida for Hillary" and "horses and courses" for their comments. Unlike many of the mean-spirited reactionary comments by the Obama supporters, these were very thoughful, appropriate and supported opinions. And I too, a lifelong democrat will consider giving my vote to McCain if Obama gets the nomination.

quan -- "Hillary did so much for this country and people only remember her mistakes" - Tell us please, what did she do?? What has she done for this country?

I have to laugh. There's people here actually saying they would cast their vote for the other party because they want to get back at mean people on internet message boards?
Um, okay, I guess everyone has their reasons.
And for the record, I'd say the meanness is pretty evenly distributed among supporters of all candidates in both parties. The internet isn't exactly known for its civil discourse.

givemeabreak: Say there buddy, I've been asking that same question for month's now and haven't had anyone answer yet. Also haven't received an answer about her experience, or about her legislative record either. Of course the answer about the legislative record is readily available on the U.S. Senate website, but the other two.????????

When has Hillary ever taken personal responsibility for anything going wrong? Heck, even her husband cheating on her was 'a vast right wing conspiracy'.

She can fool the uneducated, but thank GOD many Americans are educated. After Solis Doyle delivered California, Nevada, NY, NJ etc., Sen. Clinton demoted her. That's not a thank you for a job well done. Ms. Williams cannot deliver the African-American to her after her husband Bill chased them away from her with his racist tantrum.
Now she is in Texas hoping to get Latino votes, it is not gonna happen. She ‘dissed’ the Latinos by removing Ms. Solis Doyle and claiming that Ms. Solis removed herself. It is impossible for anyone to opt for a smaller job from a bigger one. Hillary Clinton is just seeking the black vote and she thinks that the only way to get it is by looking down on Latinos who had stood by her through thick and thin.
One good turn deserves another, Senator Clinton. If she doesn't return Ms. Solis to her former position, I guess she is just saying no matter what she does the Latinos must vote for because they are fools.

As an independent slightly leaning toward democratic party, I'm resently sick of reading news reporting about Hillary and Obama's primary campaign. I don't hold extremly good feeling about Hillary personally, but I vote for experience bz I can't see how a freshman can steer the declining country back on the right track. Talk is cheap, charisma doesn't equal to competence. Mr.Obama needs to take another four years to prove his ability to convice my vote for him. If Hillary loses the campaign, The McCain is my second choice.
Media, stop your biased reports specially in favor of one party, you guys know I'm talking!

Apparently, Patti Doyle was only a token Hispanic to get California support? Who knows!

Now the new campaign manager who is black was promoted just before the MD, DC primary? Who knows!

It seems to this conservative that the only possible "scandal" for Obama is his Reznek(sp?) relationship. That's the only thing. Why even bring that up when Hillary has too many to count? The press hasn't even begun to have the ##### big enough to ask her the tough questions. Please compare the sheer numbers of issues when comparing these two!
While I'm at it, I do have ONE other little Obama issue...the Che/Cuban flag in the newly opened Houston campaign office. That's small, I know, but what sort of people are volunteering here?? Committed Communists?

I am in this campaign because I want to do my share in making this country great again....respected and looked up by the rest of the world. I am 59 years old, not in the best of health, but I have been working hard to support Hillary. I don't understand why an Obama Supporter would be concerned about Hillar's supporters getting recognition. Unleesm you just switched over because you did not feel apreciated anough. Recently, one of the TV channels showed a biography of Hillary Clinton, her HS years in Park Ridge and all the community service she was involved with even as a teenager. Her life ia an open book. How about Obama? Who is he? He is what he tells us he is. There is a group of Hillary-haters and Obama benefits from this group. Hillary-haters will vote for anybody but. How does that help the country. It is really personal. When I was at the University of Hawaii, I remember a poster in one of my professor's office that said "The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in time of national crisis, do not have an opinion, but, instead, wait until they find out who's winning so they could jump in." The Latinos are not in this race because of Patti Solis but because they value the strength of their ballot in restoring health to this failed government. I respect those who vote according to the dictates of their conscience and not because they are voting against another person. For instance, I am totally against abortion, and I have joined marches in Chicago against abortion but that should not determine who is qualified to be President. We are dealing with a lot of other horrific crimes at this time. It is easier to sit in the bleachers and watch for errors made by the coach. Whether Hillary wins or not, when this is over, I can sleep well knowing I have done my best to serve my country. I had to make some personal sacrifices, no more dining out, no health clubs, in order to afford trips to Iowa, Wisconsin. Nevada, to show our support for Hillary. Although she does thank us through emails, my true reward will be for her to become President because only then will I feel that our country is in good hands. Hillary is not perfect, but I know she is the best we have under these unique circumstances that our country is in.

Every Obama win is explained away by the Clintons as insignificant. They want us to join them to remodeled America to mean big cities only. The problem they keep overlooking is that they have not beaten Obama roundly in any of these so called big cities. So where and how do they want to win without Americans? The fact is that the Clinton machine was effective in the 90's decade and will not last for ever. Obama has come to bury the Clinton machine which is evident from the failure of every trick they have thrown at Obama. Obama's strength is aided more by his dynamism and inspiration and also as a result of the rejection of the Clinton dynasty by Americans.
