Clinton's Domestic Focus, Edwards Love
February 01, 2008 7:26 PM
ABC News' Kate Snow, Susan Kriskey, and Eloise Harper Report: Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., greeted a crowd of ten thousand cheering people in San Diego, California, on Friday.
Clinton tried to turn the conversation back to healthcare, reminding the audience about the surprisingly civil debate on Thursday.
"The most important difference was that you heard between myself and Senator Obama over whether or not we should attempt to work for make a commitment toward achieving universal healthcare in America. You see, I believe with all my heart that it is a moral right for people to have quality affordable healthcare," Clinton said.
Clinton also thanked former senator John Edwards, D-N.C., again for his service, and his work on poverty.
"I want to thank my friend and former colleague in the Senate, John Edwards, for running such a great campaign and talking about so many important issues. And one of those issues is poverty and what we can do to make sure to keep a spotlight on the 37 million Americans who live in poverty," she said.
While Clinton was speaking two protestors stood in front of a campaign sign holding their own banner which read "Nepotist Tyrant, Hands off Iran."
Two aides urged the man to put down the sign when a large man wearing a yellow t-shirt ripped the sign out of the protestors hand. The protestor moved to grab the man's collar and a fight almost ensued.
All ended peacefully when the man was escorted out of the auditorium.

Wow, a crowd of 10,000! Yes Hillary! You're going to win! You are ahead in all polls I've seen today, with the exception of Georgia. You are way ahead in California and New York. MSNBC keeps repeating that you're only 3 points ahead, good thing we are literate and independent thinkers.

"Nepotist Tyrant"?
Let's do the math: Since 1980 when (CIA Director) H.W. Bush became "Vice President" to a napping B-actor, its been 28 years of Bush/Clinton.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. After all, this is a democracy, and the cream always rises to the top, right?

I feel change in the air.Obama for America!
Out with the old divisive politics embraced by the Clintons which results in gridlock in congress. In with Obama and the new politics of building bipartisan coalitions to get things done for the American people.
Mrs Clinton touts 35 questionable years of experience including her 16 years as Arkansas first lady and First lady of the Clinton era. What is 'experience'if you cannot get things done due to deep divisions which she fosters.
She is not electable in November as up to 47% of the country hate her.Her recent gutter politics on Obama will add to that percentage.
I hope more and more people see the light of day
Hillary's claim to "35 years of experience." Subtract her years spent as first lady of Arkansas and in the White House, and her time working as a lawyer in the Rose Law Firm and in other jobs. As Reason Magazine's Steve Chapman reported in November, Hillary Clinton has "just under eight years of experience in elective office -- one more than John Edwards and four fewer than Obama." And, to boot, Hillary the Feminist has her man to fight her battles.
Here's a great quote from tomorrow's NYTimes column by Gail Collins:
====
Hillary could start by purging her campaign of the lingering sense that the presidency is her due and anyone who stands in her way is a particularly mean chauvinist. You cannot run a campaign with the slogan: “Vote for Hillary — Think of All She’s Been Through.”

Hillary is soooo qualified and passionate. Good Luck to Hillary Clinton on Super Tuesday! The people of the United States need to see beyond the journalists and think for yourself. First impressions and instincts go a long way. When you don't, everything gets set back another four years. I've learned from that experience.

If you get 10,000 people supporting a Democrat in San Diego, then you have a WINNER.. Hillary has shown the women of America that they can have any job..even President.. I see many women in the future running for the "BIG" ticket.. I'll bet that allot of those Republican wife's will make a choice for a women in the Ballot room, and their Hubby will never no.. HeHeHe!!

What we really need is some one who will remove the aisle in congress and the senate and help turn this back into a country united. I am not sure that a sworn African loyalist is the man to lead America into the next four years. I am pretty certain that the problems and indulgences of the Clinton's is a lot better. Rooms for rent in the White House may have gone to the highest bidder then, and who knows what will be pleged this time.

I'm not a U.S. citizen but I've been following Hillary's political career since she became senator. Watching the last Democratic debate prior to Super Tuesday, I found Hillary to be more impressive, knowledgeable and witty than Obama. Her solutions reflect a sharp keen intellect coupled with a compassionate heart and generous spirit. I sincerely hope the American people will vote based on who is more qualified, more competent to govern the United States of American. A decision based on reason not race nor vested interests. God Bless Hillary!!!!!

The years Clinton and Hillary were in the White House, was there time. GOD was with them, and that's was why we had those times. Bill Clinton took his eyes off of GOD,and started messing up. He took his eye off of GOD again, after GOD had forgive him before. HE WAS UNFAITHFUL to his vows again. Their times was back then. Those times will never come back.Hillary should have enjoyed them and cherish them, when she was in the white house. GOD has chosen someone else to be in the white house. If GOD IS NOT FOR YOU, YOU WILL NOT BE GREAT. Time for somebody, who will bring all races together, who will bring hope. I BELIEVE THAT PERSON IS BARACK OBAMA.I BELIEVE HILLARY WAS THE ONE BACK IN THE 90'S NOT NOW.

I would love to see a Clinton/Edwards ticket. Hillary is definitely an encyclopedia of information and knowledge, and although she has a heart, some people can't see it through her intensity for what she knows. Therefore, Edwards would be a perfect other half. We all know he's for the working people. I think it's a perfect combination.

Oh yeah, and they both have the same position on Universal Health Care. I already have a great Health Plan, but I would love to see my students and they're families doing so much better.

It is time for a change in this country. Over 200 hundred years of men running this country. It's time for more nurturing, caring hands to hold our country up and uplift us out to the gutter that the Bush administration has put us in. Let's give Hillary a chance to show the stuff she is made of. She is her own person. She is not ruled by any man, just her own convictions. I believe in her dream.

Go Hillary! There are quite a few of us Georgians who will be voting for you on Tuesday. I don't know who the pollsters are polling, but I guess it must not be the many Georgia Clinton supporters I know.

Yeah Mary! I have seen your posts before and it's nice to know there are decent, THINKING people out there. Hillary '08!

Hillary Clinton voted to support the war.
When she was asked about that vote, she said first, that she did not know that the bill authorized the war. When she was pressed on this issue, she said yes, she voted to authorize the war, but she didn't think the President would actually act upon that authorization.
How can anyone be so gullible? If she doesn't have the skill and/or political acumen to understand that she has voted to authorize a war, then how can she run on a mantra of Ready on Day One?
Sorry Hillary, finish your term in the Senate, and concentrate on reading comprehension-can't imagine what Senator Clinton would do if she had access to the "red button"
I'm all for making history, we need to think seriously about "what kind of history"?

Irma (post 3:17): So those of us who may disagree with you are not decent thinking people??? Spoken like a true Clintonian! Trash those who don't see things your way. Oh, well.

Notasunthin.....I was commenting on her positive writing. Those who speak against Clintons always use insults and illusions to profanity. They are also extremely defensive.

Nepotism is the showing of favoritism toward relatives, based upon that relationship, rather than on an objective evaluation of ability or suitability.

The definition of a con artist is someone who can perfectly imitate the actions of an honest person.
But then there was that pesky little blue dress...

Hillary Clinton is ready to address the failing economy, ready to fight for universal healthcare. She will bring the troops home from Iraq and start comprehensive immigration reform.
Talk about change.
Ready on day One.
