Dodd to Endorse Obama

February 26, 2008 6:32 AM

ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: Senator Chris Dodd, D-Conn., will endorse Senator Barack Obama, D-Illi., today, according to a source within the Obama campaign.

Dodd is slated to appear jointly with Obama to make the formal announcement at a 9:30 am press availability in Cleveland, Ohio.

The former presidential candidate showed signs of a possible endorsement in Connecticut on Monday when he said, according to the Associated Press, “Eleven contests. My hope is that we’ll get closure on this pretty quickly,” but stopped short of an endorsement.

Dodd, who dropped out of the presidential race on January 3rd after the Iowa caucus , is a superdelegate who’s support will likely give Obama a boost going into the Ohio and Texas primaries, just one week away.

March 4 showdown, Obama wins by 25 points.

Clinton loses again, but will stay in the race? Bill Clinton will retreat to his Presidential Library, to try and figure out what happen.

Obama

We really need John Edwards to endorse Obama. Please, Senator Edwards, if you're listening, please endorse Senator Obama! Soon! Before March 4!

If that is the case then it is sad indeed another 4 years of a President that will stutter his way through the WH, while the masses keep singing "yes we can" even when they can pay their bills, food prices raise, homes lost and the war rages on.

They say the people usually get the government they deserve, but honestly I really don't feel I deserve Obama 08.

While Hillary flays around trying to find something to attack she needs to understand that the world is watching.

On Obama's site there are comments from people in England, France and Germany expressing their unhappiness that they cannot contribute to the Obama campaign.
When they can't they leave messages about how much they want to see Obama as the next Commander in Chief.

JB you better go read the Asia times, the British press, or the Canada news because they all seem to be wondering what is going on with us in the USA, so its not everyone as you say buying into this Obama wave.

President Barack Obama will restore America's esteem in the world. The world is already in love with him. They are cheering for him in Europe in Africa in Asia in South America.

After 8 years of the current administration stirring up record anti-Americanism and tarnishing our global standing, Barack Obama represents a wonderful opportunity for America to be loved again.

seriously.. Hilary has lost it. She is an emotional wreck now. I've been an Obama supporter for a while, but always in the back of my mind try to stay open and see if there was something i wasn't considering in regards to Clinton's candidacy. And the one thing that i haven't been able to get past is.. SHE CAN'T ANSWER A QUESTION! And if the question is about her? or HER ideas? the answer is about Barack. I just want to know where SHE is coming from. She just won't answer a freaking question! Everything she has had to say is scripted.. and if the question doesn't fit her scripted answer, she just plows right through. its all way way to calculating. and now, with her daily melt down.. it just scares the heck out of me to think of her in the Oval Office. She can't take it... the pressure. as we all know, there are kids who just "take a good test" but can't do anything with it beyond the classroom. I suspect that is Hilary.

The New American Idol being brought to you by the Democratic party

Who cares! Dodd is a nobody! The press is really stretching to try to find something good to say about Hussein. They ignore the fact that Hillary spoke in New Orleans and in DC giving very important talks about REAL issues. Plus, she has gotten endorsements from national heroes such as John Glenn, and strong women such as Maya Angelou and Ellen Degeneres which are much more important that Dodd any day. Strong women everywhere unite for Hillary! HILLARY 2008!!!

I believe the fact Senator Obama picked up the Mexican American Caucus endorsement in Texas overshadows this of Dodd.

McCain is in the back pocket of the Lobbyist and specialist interest Squad.

McCain has seen his best days.

Obama wins General Election.

Sorry to say but:
Hillary is living up to what people have always believed about women. Her claws are out, MEOOOOOOW!!! when it comes to a fight. She is not helping herself. She is way off the point of why she is running. She is spending more time in the attack mode than she is discussing the real issues such as this sorry situation that Bush has gotten us in and the sorry economic situation that Bush has also put us in.

Obama ALL THE WAY. "YES WE CAN"
WE NEED CHANGE AND HE IS THE ONE TO DO IT!

Dodd's reasons for endorsing Obama now, and talking about the division of the party and coming together? Isn't he the one in an earlier debate who said that Hillary was not electable? Was that an attempt to match Obama saying she is not trustworthy? Isn't he a close friend of Ted Kennedy who got Obama in the race to begin with? There, now we have three northeastern liberals (Kennedy, Kerry, and Dodd) who must not like white southern men (Bill Clintom, Jimmy Carter, and Al Gore) who were nominated and were elected President. Kennedy, Kerry, and Dodd are the also-rans who do not want to see a woman in the White House. And what about that picture of Obama in Muslim dress? They fear he is being picked on? By whom, his own camp who wants more feigned bias like the race card they pulled before the South Carolina Primary?

If Dodd thinks that all the Democrats who support Hillary are going to throw in the towel and support Obama, he is dreaming. They can pick and preen any candidate they want, but, it does not make all the rest of us gullible and ready to make unwise choices. We listen to the debates, read and study the issues, and we are not buying it. Democratic values matter, but, not at the expense of choosing someone so inexperienced and unprepared as Obama. George Bush's first four years in the White house were a hard lesson. The last 3-4 years even harder. Keep it up Hillary! You are the best candidate in the race. Let the rest of the states decide, then let the "wisdom" of the party elders face the music and show us how wise they are.

It could be a prelude to formation of another party or a write-in vote!

it doesn't bother you that Hilary is all over the place? that she changes her story on everything .. all it takes is a POLL? and doesn't bother you that she was just so freaking WRONG ON THE WAR? and on NAFTA? and on the IRAN ARMY AS A TERRORIST group? i just keep thinking... she has all that experience... and where does it help us? on and she WAS WRONG ON HEALTH CARE too. I would love to think that she was presidential material. but every time i take a look at her... she isn't. as a matter of fact.. every time i take a look at her, SHE'S MELTING DOWN!!! (oh.. and she messed up the HEALTHCARE thing too) (oh.. and she ran the war room in the white house on the PAULA JONES thing too)... i mean... she just screws things up most of the time.

I'm amazed at the level of invective that is being spewed between obviously intelligent and passionate people. WHOEVER wins to become president is going to need help. Someone said " A President lends the country, not run it"
There is one true thing, each of the candidate loves this country. If you.re going to criticize Obama for lack of experience, than you can also criticize Clinton for her lack of budgeting skills( looking at how her camp-pain money is being spent.) and you can question McCains comments about admition abouthis lack of understanding on economics. What I trying to say is it not good for us as fellow Americans to turn on each other while the world watches.

If she is not on the ticket I also will write her in go Hillary

Posted by: Bishop | Feb 26, 2008 12:08:10 PM

for the record? i hate all that "yes we can" stuff. all the cheerleading. i just hate it. but.. BUT.. i have to get over it and just look at my choices of who won't LOSE IT IN THE WHITE HOUSE! and ... as far as i can tell, it's Sen Obama. i like his steadiness. i like how smart he is. I like that he is ready to throw all of us baby boomers (yes... i am right smack dab in the middle of that generation) out of the pool if we are going to cling to our old baggage! this is a NEW WORLD... and its time we start acting like it. i mean... really... who in the world says XEROX any more? women over 70? seriously... that was as embarrassing as when GEORGE BUSH tried to give the german prime minister a back rub!

Posted by: john axelson | Feb 26, 2008 12:11:32 PM

and... it doesn't bother you that she keeps on HAVING TO FIRE PEOPLE for all the dirty tricks her people have been pulling? and it doesn't bother you that she won't release her TAX RETURNS? and it doesn't bother you that she can't even keep the DONUTS on budget? there is just a fundamental disconnect with her. she just seems to NOT GET IT! seriously... we all know that the way she has conducted herself is the way she will be president. do we want that? she's smart... and "been around"... but... we all know and even work for people who are smart and know how to PLAY THE GAME.. but no way should they be ANYONE'S BOSS!

I was a Edwards backer until he left. I am now a Oboma supporter and will remain so but I too wish that Edwards would come out for Oboma. When he does I think everyone will breath a sigh of relief. It ewould also be great if Richardson would get behind Oboma. These are great men and I hope Oboma makes good use of them when he wins in November.
