Huckabee to Make a Cameo on SNL
February 20, 2008 6:39 PM
ABC News' Kevin Chupka Reports: ABC News has learned that former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee will be making a cameo appearance on this week's "Saturday Night Live."
This marks the first airing of the show since the writer's strike shut down production after the November 3rd episode.
No other details have been made available on Huckabee's appearance. This week's host is SNL alum, Tina Fey and the musical guest is Carrie Underwood. He would not be the first politican to apper on the popular program. Former Vice President Al Gore hosted the show in 2002 and Democratic Senator Barack Obama, D-Ill., did a cameo in 2007.

Huckabee appeals to his base alone. Not even SNL can change that.

Huckabee appeals to a bunch of rubes who bought into his phony campaign.
He's not a conservative. He's not nice. He's not a decent man.
He claims to run a clean campaign in front of the cameras, while his surrogates did the most underhanded and dirty things of anyone in this race.
Illegal push polls, fliers to Fred Thompson supporters saying Fred was pro-abortion and responsible for the murders of 200,000 babies.
This guy is a scam artist.

Huckabee is the only chance the Republicans have of stopping the Obama express. McCain will get run over by the Obamamentum. Huckabee is the only one who can go toe-to-toe and win a debate against Obama. Huckabee is unstoppable in debates. He is a skilled orator and genuinely humorous. Obama is nice, but he isn't that funny. Put him up against Huckabee, and Huckabee wins the personality contest hands down. Let's face it - this is how we pick our politicians.

P.S.: Bigred - I don't know where you get your information, but Governor Huckabee has never endorsed the push polling or attack flyers. If a 507 decides they want to pay for a negative campaign, there's nothing Huckabee can do about it. He has asked them to stop, but cannot contact them personally (thanks to McCain-Feingold). If he contacts them personally he gets in trouble legally. Instead he has asked them (repeatedly) through the media to stop. He has said many times during the campaign that this hurts him more than it helps him. The organizations continue. What do you suggest he do to get them to stop?

Chris, b.s. Huckabee attended a fundraiser for his campaign at the owner of the push polling company's house THREE WEEKS before they started push polling. If he really wanted them to stop, they would have.
And I personally know he had people putting fliers on Thompson supporters' cars in Greenville, South Carolina saying Fred was responsible for the murders of 200,000 babies.
How do I know? BECAUSE I CAUGHT THEM DOING IT. They admitted they were with Huckabee's campaign. They were from Wofford College, where earlier that same day HUCKABEE HAD AN EVENT.
He is a PHONY!

Hope you all are ready for Obama in the fall. McCain doesn't stand a chance. I agree w/ Chris. Huckabee's the only chance we've got. By the way, bigred, Mike appeals to a broader audience than you suggest. Of course, you wouldn't have the opportunity to hear his whole platform if you only get your information from the MSM. Go do the research for yourself and find out how much improvement he made in Arkansas while he was governor. I'm more interested in him duplicating those efforts on a national level than I am playing games and name calling.

I know the Huckster's stances and history extremely well. But since you brought it up, let's review his history in Arkansas.
Numerous ethics violations, 1000 criminals having their sentences reduced or ended (including 12 MURDERERS), supported giving taxpayer funded scholarships to illegals, lobbied to end the embargo against Communist Cuba, and thinks our biggest foreign policy problem is that we're not nice enough.
If that's the kind of president you want, you can have him.
I, and many conservatives who know what a liar the Huckster really is, will never, ever support him.
He would get destroyed in a general election, and he has no chance of winning the nomination anyway.
It's over. Go home.

VOTE for HUCKABEE-- At least he knows Jesus Christ and can call on him for advise and wisdom.

Huckabee appeals to Liberal Democrats
which makes up a majority of the
SNL audience!
It makes sense. He raised taxes as
governor of Arkansas and wants to give
college grants to the children of illegal aliens! He is a Liberal and is embarassing himself by staying in the race!

So Huck will be the third Democrat to appear, then.
"Shazam, seregeant, I'm on SNL!!"

reaganfan: Actually Huckabee is just a common sense kind of guy, so he doesn't just ride the party line to apppeal to the "right kind of people". He can not be put in a box, because he thinks outside of the box. If you look into the taxes issues, he was Federally mandated to do something with the schools, and even if he wasn't, it was the right thing to do. Their schools went from being close to LAST in the nation to the top 10 list-not a bad investment. Imagine what that will do for the future of Arkansas yet to come.
The other tax he raised was a 3 cent fuel tax, which again took their road system from one of the worst to one of the best, which in turn helped to turn around their economy. Again, we should hope for such godd return on our investments in our country.
He has talked about the college grants so many times in so many debates that I don't think I need to address it. Instead, we should look at his progressive ideas like the FairTax, which would completely shift the tax burden from income to outgo, which could also turn around the manufacturing sector in this country. Look it up on FairTax.org to get a full explanation.
Isn't this what everyone has been saying they want in a candidate? If you get past the rhetoric by the mainstream media, Mike Huckabee is the best candidate we have had on either side of the aisle.
