The truth is Obama has zero solutions to our problems. Once the election is over, he would not have Clinton to copy anymore.

I guess I am concerned and confused as to how a person is supposed to stop someone bad or good from endorsing them... he denounced him, even rejected him (lol sorry I just know what a big deal that word turned into) I'm not trying to be argumentative, I too am Jewish altho not practicing I guess I just don't understand how Barack could have reacted any differently to make it clearer that he does not support this evil man's views... it saddens me to lose good hardworking Democrats to the other side over situations that the politicians really have no way to prevent. Hmmm... talk show hosts have guests to increase ratings and advertising value... I am not sure why people think this warrants media coverage. Every talk show host has had every candidate on their show at some point.

Are voters seriously casting a vote based on dancing ability, looks, smile, charisma, etc? That is what got Reagan and Bush Jr. elected. Both of them gave us record debt and deficits among other tragedies.

The obvious endorsements of Oprah for Obama and Ellen for Clinton exist and that is fine but it should not influence your vote. Who do the other talk show hosts endorse and does it really matter to the voters? Yes they are people with the power of one vote and the right to endorse or campaign for whomever. Should they be using celebrity status to try to influence the voters anymore than the MSM should be? Since when are celebrity talk show hosts qualified journalists and political analysts? We already know that most of what we see from the MSM today is nothing more than yellow journalism and biased coverage. The MSM's political analysts themselves often flip flop day to day.

If any endorsement determines who you vote for that is really disturbing... especially if the endorsement you follow belongs to a celebrity with no qualifications to do the research, analysis, and assessments for you.

Be pro-active and vote smart! We should all be using the unbaised resources on the Internet to educate ourselves. We should all be helping each other learn the real facts and cast thoughtful votes instead of following along like little lemmings.

I think too many people learn about "the issues" through television which involves celebrity endorsement. The candidates use it to reach out to different people that may not normally be interested in politics...it is unfortunate but perhaps as the years go on it will help foster some new ideas, some fresh blood - the longer people pay attention to politics the more informed they become. Although I doubt it will help in this years election at all.

not4u - he did not denounce his endorsement... he denounced his anti-semitism (read the debate transcript)... (notice he did not mention any of the other horrid prejudices that Farrahkan and his own minister support).

Clinton was correct when she called him on that point... she stated he should reject the endorsement completely... he conceded but did not sound sincere to me.

A person doesn't reject hatred because they are called on it or caught. They reject it out of principal. Obama could have rejected Farrakan's praise, but he chose not to.

You can't claim unity with Farrakan at your side. You can't claim unity when Farrakan has been at your side.

I can understand your point..to me though it all seems like semantics- And I do understand we will all hear what we want to hear to support our choice in candidates... I am of the opinion that Senator Obama is quite honest and I did find him sincere, but I also have turned over a new leaf and am trying to research both candidates right now since one of them will be our nominee for sure. It's interesting though and that is why I asked in my post- because I would like to understand how other's would be upset over his choice of words...

I think what you post is certainly more important than the chat name you chose. However, your name "advertises" at the end of every post that you are anti-hillary so it taints perception.

I think it is great to research the facts and advocate that so we are not all lemmings. If you use the words "vote smart" in your search you will find the unbiased resource site that has all the facts, issues, bios, interest group ratings, campain contributions, voting records, and accomplishments of every candidate regardless of party and independent of the MSM.

Thank God there are some smart voters out there! This media blitz takes away our voice when they write "opinions" and it is taken as "fact" by many. I have personally gone to both candidates' sites to look at their plans. Its amazing that both Dems have almost IDENTICAL views and plans on the actual issues and yet the media has turned this into a boxing match. I personally look at the Presidency as a job, actually the CEO of a company and consider myself as the person responsible for hiring. My expectations may be different than others but the responsibility to pick the best CEO of our country should be more than a popularity contest.

I am glad to hear that people are finding a website to do their own research of the facts of these politicians. I have already begun this process and it reinforces what I first believed was the best choice of Democratic nominee. We, as the voice of this country, have a lot to decide. We do need to do more ourselves for this country to recover from war, apathy, and the economy. We have talked to our local rep about being able to afford our continuing education. We have gone to the school board about school trying to label our daughter with a learning disability when all they were doing was sitting her in front of a computer instead of teaching. We went to the school board for not helping us challenge our son even though he has tested gifted and could go to an accelerated program at a private school if we could afford it. We went to the school and the school board as well when we found mistakes in the children's curriculum. We, at home, encourage our children to read and research subjects. These are just examples of how to get out and do something instead of sitting at home and complaining about everything. When we discovered our school system closes for tournament basketball games we went to the school board again and the town paper. Please do more than analyze sound bites. Of course the media are trying to increase their subscription numbers. These are just examples of how people can be progressive about issues they say need to be addressed. It can be at the local, state, or national level. The candidates aren't going to be able to fulfill all of their promises. We can't continue to sit here and wait for things to be corrected or done for us either.

Unfotunately, I really believe that this man does not take the job seriously. He's in it to win it, but every time he is asked a question, and it has not been scripted-he doesn't talk about us, the people, he talks about himself. I am concerned that so many people see him with such hope (and apparently poetry), that they refusing to look at the facts. He has a very limited and not very distinguished political career so far. That being that case, all you worshipers out there are in for a big disappointment. You have the opportunity to elect someone who is a fighter. Someone who is willing to get in there and fight for you and your dreams--It is Hillary Clinton who is the strongest candidate. I agree with Ohio Dem-we should be deciding this by looking at their credentials. He really doesn't have any--to be President. This is not a popularity contest. People did that 8 years ago and got George Bush. We need Hillary.

Some of you people are a little off based on Barack and here is why:

Barack is not only carismatic but eloquent in his efforts to bring together...our nation or the world for that matter has not seen this is many many years.

Igorance breeds fear...and all the Scarboroughs, Matthews and Hannity's of the world are facing a nation hungry for change...change we must have to improve our economy AND our stance on this planet. Not only will Barack beat McCain, he will beat him at his own game...he nor Hillary have been and never will be as tactful and sharp as Barack..Never. People are just jealous and yes ignorant.

People in this nation are scared of change, scared of taking a second look to think perhaps he COULD do us some good both at home and abroad. People let the members of the far right who has not done a damn thing for this nation as of late "scare' them. You are showing that you are truly ignorant.
