ABC News’ Mary Bruce reports: Former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., said today that he is prepared to continue writing personal checks to keep his 2008 campaign afloat past Super Tuesday.

"Of course," Romney told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos in a "This Week" interview. "You know, I recognize that I'm not as well known as Sen. McCain or Mayor Giuliani, or, for that matter, Fred Thompson.  I got into this race recognizing that I had to build my name recognition.  Theirs was already there," he said.

Romney has spent roughly $35 million of his personal fortune on his campaign so far. He went on to note that "I'm also proud of the fact that we've raised more money than any other Republican in this race.  We've raised it from more people than any other Republican in this race, and that makes me proud.  We got a lot of support across the country.  But I of course am going to contribute to the very campaign I'm asking other people to contribute to."

Gov. Romney would be a much better President. He is calm, his decisions are measured, humble, and can work with Dems. People are making a horrible mistake if they don't vote Mitt on Tuesday. Our retirements, economy is on the line. A Great Depression is coming and McCain won't know how to lead us. Think about it for one second and Vote for Mitt.

That's because he's been a democrat longer than he's been a republican. Funny, there used to be a difference. Not wih these canidates. The only descrepiances are artifical and vague. The Republican base will sit this one out. That I promise you.

A vote for Mitt Romney is a vote for America! We need him and we are lucky he wants to lead America through the upcoming maze of war and economic woes. John McCain would make a terrible president, lacks the smarts and the temperament for it. He only has the ambition for the presidency. Mitt Romney is the man for the job!

Gov. Romney has shown us how dicisplined he is in every aspect of his life. A good family with moral values we can agree with; a solid experience in fixing problems we can trust him to do. He will be a president we can tell our children: this is our president and your best role model.Look you to him and be inspired by him.
