Chelsea's Choice: Will Mom or Dad Be a Better President?

Share

March 28, 2008 5:27 PM

ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: It was Chelsea's choice: who would be the better president, her father or mother?

"His question is, 'Do I think my mother will be a better president than my father," the former and aspiring first daughter said during an event at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Penn.

Then came her choice.

"Well, again, I don't take anything for granted, but hopefully with Pennsylvania's help, she will be our next president, and yes, I do think she'll be a better president," Ms. Clinton said.

Watch the VIDEO HERE.

Asked about the exchange at a press availability in Hammond, Indiana, Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., seemed surprised and smiled as she replied, "I have to talk to her before I answer that question."

No word yet on from former President Bill Clinton, who is campaigning for his wife in North Carolina, though he frequently tells crowds that his wife is and will be his better half including in a potential role as the second Clinton in the White House.

ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf contributed to this report.

Hillary Clinton is getting desperate. Please, someone tell the Secret Service to double the guards on Barack Obama.

Finally someone agrees with me that means people are finally coming to conclusion OBAMA is a fraud. He has two faces. One for the whites and one for the Blacks. When he goes to the Blacks he trashes whites which of course people will never know. When he goes to the White folks he talks about so called ‘unity’. He has been planning this scam for many years. That’s why he joined that church. He is a Moslem in Christian disguise and his buddy ‘Oprah’. These idiots think Oprah and Obama is their god. If Fox news never revealed this it won’t be a news at all because media loves him. Obama-Osama can’t do anything wrong. Just bash Hillay and Bill. Bill has been called by media ‘racist’. What Bill did for these Blacks Obama can’t even imagine doing in his life time. Just look at Obama he took advantage of affirmative to go to college then he and his people turn around how ‘racist’ America is. This is a great cournty that’s why he dares to run for president. Other wise, tell me who is Obama? son of a Kenyan Moslem, a guy from the street of Chicago. He has no credential to be president. All that talk don’t take people anywhere. His wife and he has no allegiance to this country. What sacrifice has he made for this country? None. He doesn’t respect the flag and his wife badmouth America? You want to vote for this guy? Wait till he raises taxes and he can’t get out of war that’s what Nancy Pelosi said too. Putting this imposter, two-faced carsalesman Obama would be a danger to the country. he He lies on people’s face and people are falling for it. If people have intelligence they will stop listening to him. For years he sat in that church listened to those sermons by his pastor now he is preaching ‘unity’? He thinks exactly like his pastor all these talk about BS is nothing but BS.

Perhaps Obama is in love with his Pastor Wright. Pastor Wright must have something on Obama because Obama has not disown Pastor Wright. If Obama wants change in America than he ought to start with Obama and disown Pastor Wright, lead by example. Obama wants to change one thing for another not changing church.

i think it's sad when the media and now howard dean and senator leahy suggest that hillary clinton drop out of the race. i think the media has way too much influence on the voters. for hillary clinton to drop out would be unfair to all the other states that have not cast their vote for their choice of candidate. is this how the democrats are going to run the country if they win, start something then stop in the middle of it. i think everyones voice should be heard.

Hillary is not as good of a liar as Bill. She fell right on it with that Bosnia Mishap. Misspoke My ***! ANd Chelsea is indicating how disappointed she is with her father. She is Just Angry. I don't blame her but you can see the rift in the family now.

Why didn’t Obama leave the church when Reverand Wright glorified Louis Farrakahn? Why doesn’t he leave the church now when the new pastor calls criticism of Wright a “lynching”. Obama is nothing but inflated rhetoric. Hillary should stay on and fight and perhaps the stupid electorate that elected George Bush twice will wake up and support Hillary.

I'm sick of the IDIOTS claiming Obama is a bigot because of a few selective clips. And then to be completely unable to hear his speech on racism explaining that yes some oppressed people ar angry and there is nothing wrong with being able to hear that.

2 family rule is unamerican.

I tend to be conservative, I feel the Pastor was just as wrong as Ms. Pelozi was wrong. Obama should of asked his “pastor” to apologize and then drop the subject. I feel he is prolonging his own agony by dragging the story on, and on, and on, etc.

Ok people Chelsea Clinton is a respectable young woman who deserves not to be bashed like her parents. She is not a candidate or the presidency and she has done nothing but supported her parents. People, make your choice on qualification and stop bashing people who really don't deserve it, grow up. I can tell you right now I CARE about her opinion. I AM FOR OBAMA! I believe that people should be above bashing others particularly people who work as hard as Chelsea Clinton. That is why I am voting Obama so that this kind of childish bashing might stop!

Did you see when she answered the question about her Mom and when she finish telling they guy it was none of his business and she does this stupid look like ahuh dah... Yes, it is our business if she is going to be President of the US.. How she handles that compared to how she handles the country?? Lets see.... She accepts her husband cheats on her and does nothing..
What kind of wife would do nothing?? I guess it will be the same thing she does if she got in the White House---- NOTHING... Oh maybe she will have a man under her desk to get back at her husband?? Ya Think??
CHELSEA - Shut the hell up and stay out of it as you really dont know diddly squat......

Another thing is when you answer a question like you did dont give that stupid look on your face like hows that for an answer.. DOH! DOH !! I'm Stupid

What else could she say? Bill's not running, of course she said her mom would be better. And what has their daughter
done (other than endure their fake, disfuntion1al marriage) that makes her someone I should take advice from.

Barrack Obama is looking more like a chameleon every time he opens his mouth. Attends a church over 20 years whose pastor regulary delivers “hate” sermons about other races and our country - this info surfaces during his campaign, and suddenly, he is offended? What about the other 20 years.

The man also lies. He tried to cover his tracks regarding his white grandmother and completely revised a new version of what he had just said a few days before from “she is afraid of some blacks she passes on the street” to “she is afraid of people (any race?) she doesn’t know”!

This is pitiful!

You must be kidding. Senator Obama is the master of I”I would have”. “I would have voted against the war.” I would have spoken out ,voted ,talked to ,been present for,—all the while avoiding like the plague any stance for which he might be responsible. Check his voting record–mostly “present” and /or along party lines. When a stand or solo action on principle is needed . This Senator knows how to avoid accountability.

The Pastor and his comments aren't an issue with me in the least. I'm far more concerned that I may end up spending my entire life with a Clinton or a Bush in the White House. I will not vote for her under any circumstances. I don't believe in political dynasty I don't believe in the war she's help steward. If she gets the nomination, I'll never vote for a Democrat again.

Posted by: Tim | Mar 28, 2008 6:57:41 PM

Who needs Chelsea's opinion? Her father was a great president. Her mother has a high per cetage of people who will never vote for her. She claims a lot of experience that doesn't really exist. We need a change from the Bush/Clinton years. Maybe Chelsea can go back to her own job.

Posted by: C Bunnell | Mar 28, 2008 6:58:48 PM

Chelsea sat there and nodded her head in agreement while her mother was lying about Bosnia. Maybe the Clintons are just so used to lying they can't tell the difference anymore. Chelsea in politics would just be joining a long line or liers.

Is this Chelsea's 15 minutes of fame??

OK, I had enough of her and her dysfunctional family values..

Do the USA really cares what she has to say??

Posted by: Steve | Mar 28, 2008 7:01:41 PM
