Clinton Sign: 'Meet Me In Indiana!'
March 04, 2008 10:02 PM
ABC News' Kate Snow Reports: In the sea of signs here in the Clinton ballroom in Columbus, Ohio there's a hand-written sign that stands out -- "Meet me in Indiana!"
Indiana's democratic primary will be held on May 6th. The crowd here went wild when CNN, being shown on a giant screen, projected Rhode Island for Clinton. It is her first victory after a string of 12 losses.
Down at the end of the room, behind the empty podium that awaits Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's appearance later, there's a group of rowdy supporters who from time to time launch into a call-back cheer-- the kind boot camp instructors yell out.
"H-I-L-L-A-R-Y!" yells one side of the room, echoed by the other... "H-I-L-L-A-R-Y!" "She's much better than the guys!" "C-L-I-N-T-O-N!" "We won't stop until she wins!" "Hillary!" "Our nominee!" "HRC!" "To victory!"

Yah, at 3a.m. right? After Miss. and No. Carolina. After the superdelegates end this facade. What a goofball.

If Bag the Billster and alike believe that practicing democracy by voting for a legitimate candidate is destroying the democratic party, they need to move to a foreign country where there is no democracy and no democratic party. We will certainly have a better democracy if those misguided people move elsewhere.

A continued race will NOT destroy the Democratic party. May be, if at all Obama wins the nomination, this will better prepare him for the Natuional. He is the one who is going to gain from this ongoing contest.
Why is the Obama campaign so nervous about time? If he is so qualified - they should be brave.
Of course, Hiallry is going to win at the end.
Hillary for '08!!

There is no way a candidate should drop out of a race that is so close -- that would be crazy.
Go Hillary!

Does everyone fail to remember that BILL CLINTON didn't secure the nomination until June? What is with the RUSH to oust anyone from the presidential primaries? The entire point is to get to know the candidates as well as we can and then to come to a common consensus as to who the BEST representative is to support the party during an election.

Hillary's vanity is indeed dooming the Democratic Party. I absolutely promise that she will not be elected president, though she is a smart and capable person..But, wake up - she is married to Bill and that will finish her. The dopiness of democrats makes me weep. No wonder the republicans have given us such miserable presidents - the democrats hand the government to them.

Hillary Clinton is too an inflammatory, divisive candidate. She cannot win in November and she knows it. Mathimatically, she cannot catch and pass Obama, and she knows it. Yet, she would rather drag out the delegate count and hope for a floor fight in the hope of achieving a victory to satisfy an unbridled ambition. I have absolutely no problem with a woman president. I have a a problem with this woman. She would rather go down swinging then to concede that she cannot win. And if she's the nominee, then McCain continues to impliment Bush's b.s. Maybe a war with Iran. Hillary, stop now. Don't take us all down with you.

Why should she drop out - She has the large states and already the delegates in the states Obama won have buyers remorse.
After the Obama people leave states yard signs start changing, people wonder what happened and the dazed look changes to concern.
Many delegates that once supported Edwards,Biden, and Richardson have already decided to change to Clinton.
With California, NY, NJ, Ohio, Forida, Michigan and just in Texas why would anyone think Obama could stand a chance in the general election.

Obama peaked, and after tonight, it's all down HILL for him !!! HILLARY 08 !!!
Posted by: Bye Bye Obama | Mar 5, 2008 2:35:35 AM
Maybe they'll continue to exchange broadsides a la that "Master and Commander" ship movie up through the convention, while John McCain might just sail past them? That would be SWEET! Go McCain Go!
P.S. Iraq is almost totally won now, by 2009 it should be locked up. Just in case though I would rather have John McCain in there.

Hillary is more substantive. And, in my humble opinion, America needs a substantive person at this critical juncture. Mr Obama's rhetoric reminds me of the kind of speeches that I heard from dictators in the Middle East.

Hillary looks substantive, but she is not, her lack of good judgement is clear. She has voted in international affairs as the republicans, that is a cause of concern.

Does everyone fail to remember that BILL CLINTON didn't secure the nomination until June?
This is highly misleading as the primary schedule was quite different in 1992 - only 6 states had voted by this point back then (IA, NH, SD, COL, GA, MD). Tsongas dropped out by the time a third of the states had voted and Brown had no realistic chance.
Also, the problem for Obama isn't the absolute time he gets the nomination but the *relative* time compared to McCain. McCain's been the de facto nominee and every dollar and man-hour that's spent fighting Hillary is a dollar and man-hour that's not spent against Clinton and not having to go against the better-funded Obama allows McCain to conserve his resources.

I sure as hell hope Hillary comes to Indiana. Obama's running ahead of Hillary here right now 40-25. That's only going to grow once we become contested. We're going to wipe the floor with Hillary, and deliver Indiana to Barack Obama! After all, Illinois and Indiana are great friends!

Hillary knows she can't catch Obama...but it just doesn't matter to her.She knows the soldiers cannot/will not be pulled over Irak...but again..it doesn't matter. Her lying to the american people is nothing new..
Time to open your eyes . They are politicians..they lie...but She is at the top!!!

If Sen. Clinton is so substantive, why does she not stand on her party's rules instead of stomp on them? Florida and Michigan knew the rules, their primaries do not count for delegates. Why does she count them as victories? She is doing what she normally does, twist the truth to suit her immediate benefit, disregarding the rules in place. Do we remember Whitewater? And she's worried about Rezko? Absolutely laughable.

i think i prefer Sen. Clinton to Obama cos she has a better grasp of the issues. Obama i feel is more rhetoric than real. im black and i dont necessarily think blacks should support him for thay reason.

I will be here in Indiana waiting for Obama to meet Hillary. Hillary don't forget that we do ahve thousand of Obama supporters here in Indiana. You won't fool us' we are aware of you dirty tricks, like leaking that the Obama campaign called the Canadians on NAFTA, when all the time it was your campaign. How dirty is that, your lies cost him Texas and Ohio. We here in Indiana will get the message out that you will us any means neccessary to win!
Go home Hillary!!!!!
