Clinton Makes Rocky Balboa Look like a Pansy?

April 29, 2008 10:05 AM

ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton received the endorsement of North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley Tuesday morning in Raleigh, NC. After touring a bio-manufacturing training center, Gov. Easley, First Lady of North Carolina Mary Easley and Clinton held a ceremony at NC State University. The Governor formally expressed his support saying that there was "nothing I love more than a strong powerful woman." Easley concluded his remarks saying Clinton -- "makes Rocky Balboa look like a pansy".

Easley said, "There’s a lot of 'yes we can' and 'yes we should' going on. Hillary Clinton is ready to deliver, that's the difference."

Watch the VIDEO HERE.

Clinton thanked the governor for his support and for all he has done in the state of North Carolina. She did not attack either opponent, but spoke about the solutions she will provide as president, and told the small audience that she would work with their governor.

Clinton also applauded the work the state had done improving green standards and efficiency.

"Mario Cuomo who famously said one time you campaign in poetry but you govern in prose.  I think that’s pretty descriptive cause when the lights are gone and the cameras are off and the speeches are over what you want is somebody who will deliver results and sometimes that's not very glamorous," Clinton said.

Adding, "It takes a lot of work and some false starts and frustration. Bringing everybody together doesn't necessarily mean they will all agree. It takes leadership to set a vision to put forth the goals and the strategies that's what Governor Easley has done in North Carolina that's what I will do as your president.”

California Superior Court Judge Aurelio N. Munoz ruled Paul's legal team can begin seeking depositions from a host of big names – including Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton – that allegedly were witnesses to an effort by the Clintons and top Democratic leaders to extract millions of dollars from Paul in illegal donations and then cover it up.

Even Rocky wouldn't stoop so low as to be behind organizing Wright's speech yesterday.

Only Hillary would jump that far down into the outhouse.

Posted by: Dan | Apr 29, 2008 10:25:30 AM

The Obama cult members are now blaming Hillary for Wright!?? Very serious charges, please show proof before making such absurd, far-out allegations.

Posted by: hopesprings52 | Apr 29, 2008 10:35:15 AM

GO HILLARY! We need you fighting for us.

Posted by: LindaJ | Apr 29, 2008 10:41:04 AM

If you have a problem, blame your opponent. Typical politics of a hypocrite.

Posted by: Olbermann3 | Apr 29, 2008 10:43:26 AM

Hillary cult is blind, the Bosnian General has a serious problem, she is unelectable, that is her problem. Rev Wright has said everything yesterday about everybody but has never mentioned one word about Hill or Bill. That is curious and certainly not clear at all. Obama is traveling alone between two races: black people who are asking themselves if he is black enough and white people who believe that he is too balck and reject him. America cannot have a great leader as Obama in McCain or Clinton. God bless America and God bless Obama.OBAMA08.

Eye of the tiger. Hillary will deliver. Blame it on the world, blame it on your neighbours, blame it on God. Sorry, Mr. Wright, no offense intended here. No matter what, Hillary is the only choice. Not perfect and maybe far from perfection but still the best choice for this country in this 2008 presidential election.Hillary is the one, period.

Posted by: mtr2311 | Apr 29, 2008 10:52:31 AM

What took Obama down and made him Use Goods was first his slip of the tongue, typical white folks, small town folks bitterness, then he tried to disocunt his past and forget about the church that held him up by his bootstrap, but instead try to desecrate a man's 40 years career for his expediency for Presidency. Do you think anyone in their right mind would have ran for President if they had so much baggage, and I think he betrayed the Black Voter by making them dream knowing full well that his past was explosive and he had not been tried and vetted and would not be strong enough to subdue the swiftboating of Pat Buchanan, Reversve Psychology of Ginrich and Rove.

Posted by: Hilrod | Apr 29, 2008 10:52:36 AM

Hillary is better prepared, and enterirly vetted. No wierd america hating pastor here for sure.

Thank goodness you have stayed in the race. Imagine how everyone would feel if they had no choice. You are here at the right time. Wright is wrong for America. Too many red flags!! They just keep coming. Wake up party leaders and look at the mess we're in!!

Posted by: charlieb | Apr 29, 2008 10:56:39 AM

Hillary is the most qualified and electable candidate for President and I will support her all the way to the White House (baggage and all).

I hope the remaining superdelegates endorse her and a solution to Florida and Michigan is reached, so she can focus on the general election.

BTW: Obama will make a great Vice-President and can run again in 2016, when he has more experience.

HILLARY, OUR NEXT PRESIDENT !!!

Posted by: tsr | Apr 29, 2008 10:56:55 AM

Let's face reality. She will lose the nomination. The question to ask is will Hillary also lose her New York Senator's job after this term, now that the real Hillary surfaced. She has become soooooo irrelevant now.

Posted by: PuWeiTa | Apr 29, 2008 10:59:39 AM

Why does Sen. Clinton get almost no coverage in the national news? It's always Obama. Good Morning America and Jake Tapper tried to make the case today that he leads Clinton in superdelegates, when in fact she still leads him. Barbara Walters complained yesterday that Clinton should drop out if she doesn't win Indiana. Since when did broadcasters get the right to call an election before it's over? For more on the manipulation of the primaries, check out the article I've posted at thecityedition.com. Here's a direct:

starting to look like both press events for wright were organized by Clinton supporters.

Posted by: dl | Apr 29, 2008 11:01:38 AM

Hillary is entirely electable. Obama is the one who is unelectable, and finally he is getting the scrutiny any candidate for president should get, and he is crying like a baby because of it. Hillary is not a dirty politician. All of you who dislike her are just intimidated because she is a strong, powerful, and intelligent woman. She has taken many a punches from the Republican establishment over the years, and has proven she is strong both in character and in mind.

Posted by: Annette | Apr 29, 2008 11:04:03 AM

It's easy to look strong when fighting someone who afraid of his/her shadow. It's hilarious that the Obama disciples (not supporters) believe HRC wrote what Wright was supposed to say at the Press Club. Of course she did. Every word, and then she threatened Wright with some awful consequence if he did not deliver the speech with power and stupidity. Oh Yeah, and she also made BO sit and listen to Wright for 20 years because she knew that in 2008 she'd be running against him. To blame BO for being stupid and calling Wright to be family like an "uncle", would be too sad. Whaaaaaaaa!

Posted by: Prabhata | Apr 29, 2008 11:08:59 AM

The Paul v. Clinton case? How desperate... and also inaccurate... You did not even quote the Munoz decision correctly from the the only one "reporting" on this..... "The Hillary Project" with links to Paul's website and a couple of other "trash Hillary" sites.

And some kind of oddball conspiracy theory.... Clintons controlling the "Wright" story and Wright's actions??? Now that is real desperation. Notably Wright has previously said plenty about Hillary and Bill which was profane and vulgar... It is in his taped sermons.

The Obama "followers" are jousting at windmills these days. I cannot differentiate them from the "right wing conspiracy" and that is very disturbing.

Posted by: Nickberry | Apr 29, 2008 11:12:25 AM

I think it is telling that HRC has the endorsement of the governor of a state that is making so much progress towards research, new jobs and energy independence. That has been a huge focus of his administration. If he didn't think HRC was the one to continue in that vein, he could have endorsed Obama, or just not endorsed. But he did, and that is a big sign that she is right for this country.

In my most humble opinion, it appears as though Rev. Wright and the Michigan branch of the NAACP are on Hillary Clinton’s side. They are out to make Obama look bad, and they are doing a really good job.

They want Hillary to win.

They need Hillary to win.

They loved the Clinton years.

So, Rev. Wright, the Michigan branch of the NAACP, and most people of Michigan want Hillary to win. So watch this, as May 6 approaches, Rev Wright’s comments and appearances will intensify. Obama will look bad, voters to loose trust, and Hillary will come out smelling like roses.

In addition, Rev Wright is making all of the church leaders and preachers of all RACES look really, really bad. Now that’s sad!!!!

Hey, Gov. Mike Easley...welcome to the team!!!

btw...REV WRIGHT DOES NOT REPRESENT THE BLACK CHURCH

Reality Check: Hillary is looking very electable these days when looking at how well she does against McCain in the polls...both nationally and in the must-win states. Obama's lead has slipped and Hillary has gained.

She had more than 70% poll numbers last year to lose it all to an relatively unknown candidate. Hardly a Rocky movie script.

She is a war monger worse that even Bush now seems. "Obliterate" another country with no regards to innocent lives. Shame on you Hillary. You're not qualified to be the leader of free world.

Let’s review Hillary’s record of toughness on 2 of the most critical policies that have affected the American people in the past 20 years. In the Clinton administration and now the Bush Administration.
1. NAFTA – She promoted, supported and by most witness accounts rammed NAFTA down the throats of congress. But behind closed doors she doubted the policy and said it was wrong. But despite knowing it was wrong she went along with the status quo pushing it forward.
2. IRAQ WAR – She agreed to go to war but hoped secretly that it would not come to a war. Although the document she signed clearly said “right to go to war.” She again caved in to the status quo and agreed to do something she really should have stood up against.
So over the past 2 decades and last 2 Presidencies, Hillary Clinton has effectively been a help to diminishing manufacturing jobs and bankrupting the country. NAFTA allowed major manufacturing corporations the option to close plants in America and ship jobs overseas. Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Albany NY, NJ, Oregon and many more blue collar states have Hillary to thank for making sure that during her husband’s run in the white house they lost our jobs. Meanwhile the Clintons earned over $109 Million dollars doing ‘speeches and writing books’ while hard working people continue to lose homes and jobs. Because of NAFTA and the Iraq war, jobs are shipped over seas and the economy is basically bankrupt. Women are losing jobs at a much faster rate then men. Women like executive assistants, office managers, research analyst, and human resources managers can basically thank Hillary Clinton for helping Bush go to war. These women are normally the first people chosen when the chopping block starts falling in these large corporations. Women get laid off a lot quicker then men and that is a fact. So about that ‘glass ceiling’ theory she wants to crash? She managed to push it up even higher for the average women who is not running for President but just wants a job to help support her family.
Think about it… within the last 2 decades - two of the most critical decisions that have affected America’s economy and growth have been screwed up all because Hillary Clinton folded under pressure. First NAFTA and then she agreed with Bush to go to War. America is now jobless and bankrupt and we can thank Hillary Clinton for contributing to that problem. Now she wants us to trust her in fixing it? She can’t even balance the budget of her campaign. Her campaign is bankrupt. How can she be trusted to be the steward of America when she can’t balance a simple campaign budget?
Hillary Clinton is not tough. She caves in under pressure – but not from the blue collar people she appeals to but the white collar corporate and congressman who are paying her income.

We're back to the Rocky Balboa
analogy?
This moron Easley is a Governor?
I'd say Easley is a Pansy!
By the way Rocky Balboa lost to
his Black opponent after a bloody and bruising battle which sent both
fighters to the hospital!
John McCain is waiting in the wings to clean either of their clocks when it's over!

Obama will win and Cindy Sheehan will be his secretary of state or his vice-president.

Posted by: Aston | Apr 29, 2008 11:45:19 AM

I would say Elizabeth Edwards can endorse Hillary, but John probably wont. The reasoning being he wants to suck up to the winner?

They ALL have to suck up to the winner. Obama will have to suck up to Clinton, or Clinton will have to suck up to Obama.

There is no advantage of waiting until the winner is decided. Why would they even care what Edwards has to say then? He is SUPPOSED to endorse the democratic nominee anyway.

Edwards wants a large prize from Clinton, and I dont understand why both of em dont offer the attorney general spot to him. Clinton or Obama.

Is it possible for an entire cult to have a collective nervous breakdown? It sure looks like it. Mass paranoia.

Posted by: geevill | Apr 29, 2008 11:52:55 AM

ah, only true democrats will vote for Hillary, let the elitism begin! Hillary will continue most of the same Bush policies. She has made it clear that she would do so. Her support for the gas tax holiday shows her inability to lead, and her inability to understand how to solve problems and not just pat the baby on the head. Lifting the gas tax for the summer will cost jobs and weaken our infrastructure, she wants this on the promise that she might be able to get a tax passed. Not to mention the tax will not save anyone any money over the summer since gas prices will at best dip for a week or two and be right back to where they are and higher. Take the $65 million we spend a day on purchases for the strategic Oil reserve and build 6500 cars a day that don't run on gasoline. (Compressed air or battery power are the best bets currently) That will put people to work. Start giving these cars to working Americans for primary transportation. There is your tax credit. Jobs, manufacturing, environment, savings of $40-$60 a week on fuel. A crystal clear signal to oil companies and producers that the market is changing and nearly 2 million non-gasoline powered cars on the road by years end. Gov't stays in the business for 5 years, even getting a boon for scrap metal on trade-ins then sells it off to the private sector after getting a mandate for zero emissions.
Innovation has been the most prevelant and premium industry in this country. We need to get back to that.

Last time I checked this was still the United States of America. We have the right to free speech as shows by the scary diatribe seen here. I am an older white woman and listed to the entirety of Rev Wright's message the last couple of days. What message have you all been hearing? What did he say that scared everyone so? I did not agree with everything he said but I thought he was eloquent and inspiring. What frightens me is the reaction in the media. Who appointed them the last word? If anyone of us were publicly scrutinized like this could we survive? We are imploding and the rest of the world is laughing at us. God Bless us EVERYONE.

It is just what I knew would happen Obama is in trouble and of course every thing is Hillary's fault get a grip it is not hillary's fault Obama should have put space between him and Wright before he started running.

Posted by: Bishop | Apr 29, 2008 12:10:34 PM

Blaming Hillary Clinton for what Obama has done to himself, through his reckless associations with destructive people, is ridiculous. Save the conspiracy theories for discussions about the Kennedy assassination. If ever there was a conspiracy, it was the overt media bias against Hillary throughout this race.

She is the stronger candidate, and the candidate who is the most electable. Obviously, Governor Easley thinks so, and John Edwards will follow suit.

The tide has turned because the media could no longer let Obama’s elitist attitude, and Wright’s latest diatribes, pass. Obama and his surrogates have created the mess they’re in, and have made the media’s reporting of that mess compulsory.

The obama cult followers are crying and being their typical whinny, victim selves. Obama/wright = what a ticket? Just think - at least once a day, wright will get the cameras on him and he will spew Anti-American sermons all over this nation - at least once a day. Obama loves this insane person and he will never, never disassociate from him. This is a plan between obama/wright to get more Hillary controversy out in the media and continue to blame her for wright. The obama campaign has stirred up the race card once again - next: A magnificent speech by obama disassociating from wright. The cult followers will melt once again and start blogging and screeching for Hillary's head. Next: an obama/wright ticket - who is going to stop that?
McCain

How is Hillary better than Bush? All our economic problems are because of Iraq war which she voted for and now she wants to start one with Iran.

No more Bush-Clinton in the white house. Last I check we were democracy not dynasty.

Hill's margin in her PA victory have been a almost universally acclaimed as
a double digit win when the fact remains that it was not. I wonder if the media
have been sucking up with her campaign by overstating the fact of this to drive
a momentum of media publicity on her behalf. Perhaps, the media have been
scared of the possible Clinton Restoration and the payback that will be
demanded. It is only now that the media is proclaiming the margin as 9% when
they could have easily see from the actual votes tallied that it never even
approach the rounded figure. I don't think the media no longer knows how to
compute and but they just swallowed what the Clinton lies again. Perhaps it is
time for Barack to point her outright lies and put her down on her pants.

So Hillary gets an endorsement and the Obama supporters start calling her names. What a surprise. Take a page right from Rev. Wright, play the victim and blame the other guy for whatever is going on in the Obama campaign. At least Hillary is talking about "issues". Obama is too much of a pansy to debate. Rezko trial starts up again Thursday. Should be interesting testimony from Ali Ata. Next time DNC, don't choose a golden candidate from Chicago. Please.

Posted by: rs | Apr 29, 2008 12:37:30 PM

Hill must have been a good follower of 43 that she's advocating that
everybody should learn fuzzy math from the guy blamed for Iraqi mess. She's
calling for new way of counting who won popular vote for now while also trying
to discount votes for small states as not important. Her condescending attitude towards small states is more horrendous than what she tried to ascribe to Barack in SF with bitter remark. I don't know what kind of people her camp is trying to portray the Supers are when they are clearly trying to hoodwink them with their kind of logic. Do they think the Supers are just a bunch of school kids with the brain of ostrich ? They not only insult their intelligence, they even spit on them by scaring them to side with her.

I agree with that. I am a republican leaning independent that is sorely disappointed on foreign policy pursued by both parties.

Obama foreign policy is far better since he is less interventionist. I hope republican win back congress to bring some fiscal responsibility to Washington.

Hill and John are actually playing as a tag team in attacking Barack. No wonder Bill was happily laughing early this year to characterize a John and
Hill match-up in November as probably the most civil campaign ever. The
Democratic voters should be wary for the Machurian candidate in Hill. Hill have
been laying the groundwork on how to attack Barack with impunity and she is
definitely going to run again in 2012 as she have willed it to sabotage anybody
but Hill.

Ducking a debate, he and the company are losing the endorsement of the governor and possibly all the delegates of Edwards, and North Carolina. What is OBAMA's judgment about?

Here is a war, a recession, tornado, floods... and among many other serious problems, we don't have to believe a thing, simply because someone says "I am the change, I am the future." If the character and ties are in question, we don't have to believe it.

No matter how OBAMA and company cut it, it merely sounds Wright and Wright is wrong. They are hiding something when they are telling everything that people wants to hear, but always backpedals and chanting to us the same slogan. Man! No wins are alike. The most important is the next one.

He and his company suggests to split the delegates of Florida and Michigan as if no votes are casted. It is people's ballot and people's constitutional right against the stupid party rules. You don't need to take your name off the ballot, stupid. It is just your own deplorable judgment. The votes are there, we are not doing against the people unless you want to start the election with 48 states; without two very important swing states. If any campaign can stop revote like this, it doesn't worth your support.

Do not make up new rules saying that superdelegates cannot be against the will of their state. Look at Pelosi (California), Brad Henry (Ok), John Kerry & Ted Kennedy (Ma.) Bill Richardson (New Mexico) & more., you aren't telling but spitting our face with nonsense.

Posted by: John_Lai | Apr 29, 2008 1:10:27 PM

Finally an intelligent superdelegate made the right choice and that is Hilalry. Wake up America....wake up superdelegates.

Wright gave a long speech (I mean church sermon) last Sunday to see how good their church is. But that is not the issue. The issue is that both of them LIED and trying to mislead again the American people by saying good things. You can not fool the Americans. He said that Black preacher shouts when they preach. There is nothing wrong with shouting when preaching. What is wrong is that he shouted and mocked the entire nation specifically after the 9/11 attack. He and Obama need to start taking responsibility for their bad actions. He also sad that Obama is just a politician. Wright is also politician by giving his speech (sermon I mean) to cover up the bad comments he made and actually just justifying his mistakes and used the racial card as an EXCUSE. Being racial to African Americans are being overused, misused and is an EXCUSE for their personal interest. Really bad!!!

You and Obama lied and does not take responsibility of what you said. Instead you both make reason to justify you irresponsible and very degrading comments. You both mocked the Americans. Being bias to African American has been overused, misused and used as an EXCUSE so that theyt can get away from their bad actions/behavior. You can not fool America this time.

Beware North Carolinians and Indianians….Obama lied and just a Politician.

Mr. Wright, CNN interview, said Obama condemned his comments about american because Obama is a Politician. Yeah right, Obama wants to get away with it condemning Wirght's comments to get oput of trouble and still fool the Americans and the younger voters. Good job lying Obama. You don't tale responsibility for your action. You are a disgrace for all North Carolinians and Indianians. What's new? Obama lied just like Wright, Rezco and Ayers and he will continue to lie and overspent the voter's money just to win but still the loser.

Richardson suddenly came out at CNN after Hillary won Pennsylvannia. Why are you afraid? Yes you are because f Hilalry wins your personal ambition and interest will disappear. Richardson cannot be trusted and a traitor. Don't vote for him when runs for a Senator. He belongs to Wright, Rezco and Ayer who join any group or fraternity where he will benefit and not the Americans.

Obama’s motto and theme should be Pay per Vote. Obama overspent in Pennsylvannia and still came out the loser.

Look at the facts as to how strong Hillary is:

Obama lost in Pennsylvannia in spite of endorsement by a Senator and overspending in ads, 5 to 1.

Obama lost in Texas and Ohio even overspending in ads and manipulating info in Ohio.

Obama lost in California even though Oprah, Maria Shriver, and Katherine Kennedy endorsed him.

Obama lost Massachusetts even though Kennedy and John Kerry endorsed him.

Hillary won the big states and has more electoral college votes to date than Obama that is crucial in November.

Obama lost the big states even though the media is most of the time unfair with Hillary and always positive to Obama.

Wake up superdelegates! You will make the right choice if you pick Hillary.

Obama mocked the Pennsylvannians and the entire nation, which is so irresponsible and very degrading to all Americans. He is just like Wright who mocked the Americans and like Rezco and Ayers who we can’t trust.

Before you can have CHANGE, we first need SOLUTIONS and that is HILLARY.

Wake up superdelegates!

Also, comments by Clyburn is disgusting and divisive. Why don't you say something about Wright's and Obama's lying bizzarre. Why because they are African Americans. You are bizarre. Grow up.

You are the one who is bizzare and a disgrace. Racial discrimination against African American has been overused and misused. Actually you are now beginning to be racial. To get away with bad comments and bad behavior you will always use the racial issue as an EXCUSE. Shut up.

Beware North Carolinians and Indianians….Obama lied and just a Politician.

To Ami, I would not be too quick to cast the first stone. As I said before, it is going to be a long and winding road from now untill November and the truth will prevail no matter what. It is just a matter of time and the truth has been revealed itself within the last few months quite a bit and the rest will remain to be seen.

OBAMA: "Vote for me. I couldn't be wrong. I am the change and I am the future"

"What have you done then?"(around the block)

OBAMA: "I did nothing. I couldn't be wrong hedging to be president"

Obama did this to himself. For months everyone has been calling Hillary a liar and this and that. Well, as it turns out, Barack Obama is the real this and that. He lied to America and continues to lie to us to this very day. Everyone is so busy blaming Hillary that they can not see the forest for the trees. Let's be honest. Leaving race out of it, Barack Obama is STILL not who we need to run the country. He is weak. His argument is weak. He does not have enough experience to fight the good fight and to bring us back to where we as Americans should be. Like it not, the media has been sucking up to Obama for months and it's high time his dirty laundry is out in the open so that we can see and know what the man is about. Even now his staunches supporters can not be so blind that they are not beginning to doubt the mystical barack.

I commend the Governor of North Carolina for sticking by Hillary Rodham Clinton. Hillary is strong and she is the one we need in the Oval Office to undo the many catastrophes presented to us by George "Oh Gosh" Bush. Wake to go Governor.

Clinton is some uniter if Wright supports her now.

You Hillary Clinton supporters always spout this Nonsense about her being
the most qualified candidate to be
president!
Based on what Facts!
Her Bosnian sniper fire lie.
Her lie about opposing NAFTA.
Her lie about being named after
Sir Edmund Hillary.
Her Lie about playing a major role in the Irish Peace Process.
Maybe you mean she's most qualified
because of her failed 6+ years as a
U.S. Senator!
Could it be you're talking about
her meeting with the wives of leaders
around the world as First Lady and having teas and chatting!
Lose the Pom Pom's will you!
She is Not qualified to be president!
But cheer up, neither is Obama!

According to multitudes of Obama supporters, Hillary has gotten to Wright in a bold attempt to bring down the new Messiah!

I think what few people want to really look at is that Rev. Wright is 70 years of age. The gaffes McCain has been making on the road have nothing to do with his intelligence, but it has to do with being 70 years old and the inability to take in fresh new information on a hourly, daily basis and be able to spew it back at the press in 24 hours. Wright is retiring for the same reason, the responsiblities in pastoring a huge church is probably overwhelming when you are 70 and would perhaps prefer a nap mid afternoon. I think having his life reduced to 2 minutes of sliced and diced paste and cut spin by the right wing of the Republcian party has been humiliating for a man who has spent his life attempting to help the poor and disinfranchised and he has been deeply hurt. He served as a Marine and spent time in the Navy. He received his graduate degree in Theology from the University of Chicago. I think his anger is now being mined by a group of people who have their own agenda. The woman who put together Wright's speech at the Press Club has endorsed and is working to get Senator Clinton the nomination. Is there anyone out there over 12 years old who thinks she set up this speech because she wants Rev. Wright to clear his name? If so...a bridge, manhatten, a $1.95...any takers?

I guess now if you oppose the war you're liberal.

War is exactly what's wrong with Hillary. She voted for a war and too willing to start a new one.

Even as a republican, I'll take liberals over her or Bush.

A preemptive war is a blank check for wars at any time and any place.

NO MORE. TIME FOR SANITY HAS COME.

It’s obvious that Gov. Easley wasn't using the word "pansy' as a pejorative toward gays. From the context, he was using the word to connote someone who is a wimp or a wuss. In contrast, many of Obama’s surrogates, including Rev Wright, have overtly depicted gays in the worst possible light. As for Obama and surrogates, they cast aspersions about people from small towns, blue-collar voters, gun owners, church-goers, Jews, Italians, among so many others. People who live in glass houses…

I'll do the same John Galt, except in TX it'd be much easier to collect money against Hillary.

She is despised by most people I know. Some say (I suppose half-jokingly) they'll leave the country if she is elected.

Posted by: My America | Apr 29, 2008 2:05:44 PM

I will do the same John and America, except for McCain if Obama gets the nod.

According to the polls more hillary supporters will defect to McCain that Obama supporters. In any case I suppose we should all look forward to McCain.

Better McCain than Obama. At least he respects the country.

Posted by: Mar | Apr 29, 2008 2:12:13 PM

John,

I beg to differ. Being a Hillary supporter I can tell you that most of us will not vote for Obama. Certainly we would feel cheated. People in the early contests want their votes back. He has not won squat since he started being vetted, since he has shown his true colors. Hillary supporters don't just not like him, a lot of us feel him to be anti-American and will not sell out our country. We are not buying what he is selling.

Obama supporters will go over to McCain because they HATE Hillary.

Hillary supporters will go over to McCain because we LOVE our country and want to protect it. We believe McCain to be the lesser of two evils. I think there are more of us that love our country then those of you who hate Hillary.

amazing how little she accomplished in NY State after eight years in the senate. The solutions candidate has to be elected president before she will share her secret on how to cure anything that ails us. there is no end to the crap that spews from the incompetent, inexperienced fool. what a jerk to think she has any credibility with any but her blind, Deaf, undereducated base.

It's irrelevant! Obama cannot lose because of the number of delegates he has. Clinton supporters better get used to the fact that Obama will be the nominee. Then, they'll have to decide whether to join forces with the new left-orientate party or switch to a moderate.

In the end, it's not the party so much as it is voting one's beliefs. Compromise doesn't make sense!

Posted by: Aston | Apr 29, 2008 2:44:43 PM

Mar I support Obama but will vote for Hillary because we can't afford another republican in the white house. 4 more years of this economy will destroy us, not to mention all other republican policies.

maryland

It's a pity people like you can only see things in black and white. Fortunately, most see shades of gray.

Posted by: Aston | Apr 29, 2008 2:59:56 PM

Aston why am I only seeing things only black and white, because I will vote for a dem no matter what. That makes no sense to me. And why in the world would you pity me for that.
