Clinton Makes Rocky Balboa Look like a Pansy?
April 29, 2008 10:05 AM
ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton received the endorsement of North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley Tuesday morning in Raleigh, NC. After touring a bio-manufacturing training center, Gov. Easley, First Lady of North Carolina Mary Easley and Clinton held a ceremony at NC State University. The Governor formally expressed his support saying that there was "nothing I love more than a strong powerful woman." Easley concluded his remarks saying Clinton -- "makes Rocky Balboa look like a pansy".
Easley said, "There’s a lot of 'yes we can' and 'yes we should' going on. Hillary Clinton is ready to deliver, that's the difference."
Watch the VIDEO HERE.
Clinton thanked the governor for his support and for all he has done in the state of North Carolina. She did not attack either opponent, but spoke about the solutions she will provide as president, and told the small audience that she would work with their governor.
Clinton also applauded the work the state had done improving green standards and efficiency.
"Mario Cuomo who famously said one time you campaign in poetry but you govern in prose. I think that’s pretty descriptive cause when the lights are gone and the cameras are off and the speeches are over what you want is somebody who will deliver results and sometimes that's not very glamorous," Clinton said.
Adding, "It takes a lot of work and some false starts and frustration. Bringing everybody together doesn't necessarily mean they will all agree. It takes leadership to set a vision to put forth the goals and the strategies that's what Governor Easley has done in North Carolina that's what I will do as your president.”

Reality Check: Hillary is looking very electable these days when looking at how well she does against McCain in the polls...both nationally and in the must-win states. Obama's lead has slipped and Hillary has gained.

She had more than 70% poll numbers last year to lose it all to an relatively unknown candidate. Hardly a Rocky movie script.
She is a war monger worse that even Bush now seems. "Obliterate" another country with no regards to innocent lives. Shame on you Hillary. You're not qualified to be the leader of free world.

She absolutely makes Rocky look like a pansy. She can lie better than any man I know. Except for her sex addict husband who, fondles women when they don't want the attention.
Bills kind of feminine to though. You never know?

She'll work hard on her vacation plans.....They both just want an extended vacation in the White House.
Who really believes they are going to do anything? If you do....then you are a fool.

Wow... some of you are really going overboard with the misogyny and false accusations. Get a grip. Call a hotline.

The difference between Rocky and Hillary is that Rocky fought fair and was decent.

Obama fans sure see a lot of ghosts.
Obama is Obama's worst enemy. Clinton doesn't have to lift a finger.

Did Hillary have some affiliation with the NAACP?

Must hurt seeing Obama sink! Clinton will surge to victory! 8 more years! It will take a Clinton to clean up the mess Bush II left in Washington -- just like the last time.
"You know compared to Clinton Nixon looked like a great president. She is DIRTY always was and always will be she is for Hilly and Hilly only.Everyone said from the start she and BILLY will do ANYTHING to get back into power Do you believe them now??????Ther are few names I could call her but not allowed on this site......oh baby >>>>>>>if only"

Let’s review Hillary’s record of toughness on 2 of the most critical policies that have affected the American people in the past 20 years. In the Clinton administration and now the Bush Administration.
1. NAFTA – She promoted, supported and by most witness accounts rammed NAFTA down the throats of congress. But behind closed doors she doubted the policy and said it was wrong. But despite knowing it was wrong she went along with the status quo pushing it forward.
2. IRAQ WAR – She agreed to go to war but hoped secretly that it would not come to a war. Although the document she signed clearly said “right to go to war.” She again caved in to the status quo and agreed to do something she really should have stood up against.
So over the past 2 decades and last 2 Presidencies, Hillary Clinton has effectively been a help to diminishing manufacturing jobs and bankrupting the country. NAFTA allowed major manufacturing corporations the option to close plants in America and ship jobs overseas. Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Albany NY, NJ, Oregon and many more blue collar states have Hillary to thank for making sure that during her husband’s run in the white house they lost our jobs. Meanwhile the Clintons earned over $109 Million dollars doing ‘speeches and writing books’ while hard working people continue to lose homes and jobs. Because of NAFTA and the Iraq war, jobs are shipped over seas and the economy is basically bankrupt. Women are losing jobs at a much faster rate then men. Women like executive assistants, office managers, research analyst, and human resources managers can basically thank Hillary Clinton for helping Bush go to war. These women are normally the first people chosen when the chopping block starts falling in these large corporations. Women get laid off a lot quicker then men and that is a fact. So about that ‘glass ceiling’ theory she wants to crash? She managed to push it up even higher for the average women who is not running for President but just wants a job to help support her family.
Think about it… within the last 2 decades - two of the most critical decisions that have affected America’s economy and growth have been screwed up all because Hillary Clinton folded under pressure. First NAFTA and then she agreed with Bush to go to War. America is now jobless and bankrupt and we can thank Hillary Clinton for contributing to that problem. Now she wants us to trust her in fixing it? She can’t even balance the budget of her campaign. Her campaign is bankrupt. How can she be trusted to be the steward of America when she can’t balance a simple campaign budget?
Hillary Clinton is not tough. She caves in under pressure – but not from the blue collar people she appeals to but the white collar corporate and congressman who are paying her income.

We're back to the Rocky Balboa
analogy?
This moron Easley is a Governor?
I'd say Easley is a Pansy!
By the way Rocky Balboa lost to
his Black opponent after a bloody and bruising battle which sent both
fighters to the hospital!
John McCain is waiting in the wings to clean either of their clocks when it's over!

Obama will win and Cindy Sheehan will be his secretary of state or his vice-president.

I would say Elizabeth Edwards can endorse Hillary, but John probably wont. The reasoning being he wants to suck up to the winner?
They ALL have to suck up to the winner. Obama will have to suck up to Clinton, or Clinton will have to suck up to Obama.
There is no advantage of waiting until the winner is decided. Why would they even care what Edwards has to say then? He is SUPPOSED to endorse the democratic nominee anyway.
Edwards wants a large prize from Clinton, and I dont understand why both of em dont offer the attorney general spot to him. Clinton or Obama.

Is it possible for an entire cult to have a collective nervous breakdown? It sure looks like it. Mass paranoia.

ah, only true democrats will vote for Hillary, let the elitism begin! Hillary will continue most of the same Bush policies. She has made it clear that she would do so. Her support for the gas tax holiday shows her inability to lead, and her inability to understand how to solve problems and not just pat the baby on the head. Lifting the gas tax for the summer will cost jobs and weaken our infrastructure, she wants this on the promise that she might be able to get a tax passed. Not to mention the tax will not save anyone any money over the summer since gas prices will at best dip for a week or two and be right back to where they are and higher. Take the $65 million we spend a day on purchases for the strategic Oil reserve and build 6500 cars a day that don't run on gasoline. (Compressed air or battery power are the best bets currently) That will put people to work. Start giving these cars to working Americans for primary transportation. There is your tax credit. Jobs, manufacturing, environment, savings of $40-$60 a week on fuel. A crystal clear signal to oil companies and producers that the market is changing and nearly 2 million non-gasoline powered cars on the road by years end. Gov't stays in the business for 5 years, even getting a boon for scrap metal on trade-ins then sells it off to the private sector after getting a mandate for zero emissions.
Innovation has been the most prevelant and premium industry in this country. We need to get back to that.

Hillary Clinton is more like
Pinnochio than Rocky Balboa!
She does put Pinnochio to Shame!

Last time I checked this was still the United States of America. We have the right to free speech as shows by the scary diatribe seen here. I am an older white woman and listed to the entirety of Rev Wright's message the last couple of days. What message have you all been hearing? What did he say that scared everyone so? I did not agree with everything he said but I thought he was eloquent and inspiring. What frightens me is the reaction in the media. Who appointed them the last word? If anyone of us were publicly scrutinized like this could we survive? We are imploding and the rest of the world is laughing at us. God Bless us EVERYONE.
