ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Gone are the days of five-a-day campaign stops. Enjoying a lighter load on the campaign trail with two stops in South Dakota Wednesday and two stops Thursday Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton played tourist at Mt. Rushmore, ignoring questions and telling the press to "learn something about the monument".

While the New York senator enjoyed the site, she was surrounded buy a U-shape of cameras hoping to get a shot of her looking at the monument while a traveling staffer insisted on standing in front of the her to block the shot. When the staffer refused to move after many calls from the press and other staffers, Clinton turned around and said "this is a tourist occasion."

A reporter attempted to ask Clinton if she could see herself on the famous monument. Clinton just raised her hands in the air and said "I" and sighed. Another reporter asked "Do you think Bill Clinton should be up there?" Clinton didn't answer and said "why don't you learn something about the monument."

Clinton then meandered around the granite platform in front of the site, singing autographs and meeting with well-wishers. Clinton was asked twice what she thought of Scott McClellan's book. Clinton simply ignored the question and kept signing.

The last time Clinton held a press availability was May 15th; today at Mt. Rushmore Clinton certainly had no plans to hold one or take questions from the traveling press. Campaigning in South Dakota Wednesday and Thursday, Clinton will also make stops in Montana on Tuesday,June 3, the same day at the state's primary.

Bill & Hillary Clinton are the authentic political rock stars. They are used to being hounded for autographs.

and for those that keep asking.....BHO is winning because he has run a better campaign, despite not being known much outside of IL this first term Senator without name recognition to rely on, has won more votes, more states more delegates and raised more money than any other candidate in history. Say what you want, his campaign is the epitome of the American dream. Work hard and success will come.

FYI, the hearing the 31st is deciding DELEGATES only not the popular votes and they have already said they cannot by law seat them fully they will lose half so only 50% will be seated and the news coming from the DNC is they will probably do a 50/50 split, they will NOT seat them all in Clintons favor, so what will Clintons next arguement be for staying in the race?

Good for her all the press does is lie about her and send it on to the media that brought us the Iraq war and Bush

Clinton can then take it to the floor if she does not like what bylaws com. does it is her right she has to agree or this is not over till Aug.

Posted by: Bishop | May 28, 2008 1:46:19 PM

So in other words even after they give her yet ANOTHER option she will refuse it just so she CAN take it to a floor fight. sad very sad we have never won an election that has went to a floor fight and she knows it, she will destroy any chance of a Democratic win in November for her own selfish reason and her delusioned sense of entitlement.

Actually that statement came from the DNC, they CANNOT seat them at 100%, the most they can seat is 50%, believe me or not, that came directly from the DNC.

Posted by: Deb | May 28, 2008 1:53:11 PM

that is true 50% is all they the RNB can seat and the next step is the cred.com at the convention and she will take it there.

You want to argue Credentials about Clinton, OMG, I guess memory fails so many about everything the Clintons did during their time in the WH, No offense here but her "credentials" should have landed her in jail many times, and even more recently as a Sen for NY she made promise after promise and has yet to keep any of them, where are the 200,000 jobs she promised upstate NY? And then her primary campaign is another good "credential" she has debts she hasnt paid on her campaign trail, but thats ok right, who cares how many "hard working americans" she stiffed. As long as she gets what she is "entitled" too.

HAHA very funny, I voted for BC, I remember the havoc they rained on the country, I remember how they embarassed this country, I am not some young kid voting for the first time, the Clintons created chaos.

Hey keep it down. Don't stir her up when she's trying to be quite.

Hillary will not win, she cant, the Republicans have enough information on her to blast her for the entire GE, and she really doesnt want the country taking a really hard look at her past, there are to many things there that could ruin her political career, and she still has a deposition in November for the PeterPaul case and her husband is still looking at possible charges from that, Is that why she wants the WH so bad, so she can once again make the bad stuff "go away"? Just like she made all the other bad stuff "go away" when they were in the WH before.

Ah, the wise republican speaks again, by the way love the name. LOL

Hillary your supporters are behind you 100%

Save us from Rev. Wright's first term in Office.

She had to go a long way to find some one who could keep a straight face in her presence

Hillary, Bill & Chelsea will be more than okay when this is all over.

They will go back to their 10 million dollar new york estate. Hillary will likely have a cushy cabinet job and chelsea will go back to her cushy NYC job and bill will go back overseas and make another $75 million doing speeches.

Those poor Clintons.

CLINTON IS OUR ONLY HOPE TO WIN!
Obama will NOT win due to his WEAK and questionable background!

OBAMA BLOCKED RE-VOTES - He is a FRAUD!!

Re-Votes were scheduled and funded in both states - this would solve the problem - months ago - BUT OBAMA BLOCKED RE-VOTES!

He is trying to STEAL the election!

Just imagine this scenario: Rev Wright, William Ayers, Tony Rezko (pardoned), and Michelle Obama are sitting on the same table with President Obama to discuss about top-secret national security issues. Isn't this very scary? Do you really want this Obama guy to be our commander-in-chief? Not a chance for me.

I am a Clinton supporter and I approve this message:-)

Are Hillary's supporters anti-American? Because I believe that Americans by and large believe in elections and following the rules.

Barack won some delegates by winning some primaries/caucuses. Hillary has won some too.

And every single person reading this know who won more delegates, BASED ON THE RULES BEFORE THE FIRST PRIMARY OR CAUCUS WAS RUN.

PS. Both Hillary and Harold Ickes made public statements on or before January supporting the decision of the DNC to punish MI and FL for jumping the queue.

So What was the exact moment when Hillary and her principle strategist changed their minds?

yep, she sighed in disbelief saying to herself "what the heck happened? I had the nomination all wrapped up, how can I be losing to this guy!" LOL!
