Clinton: 'It's Not Over Until the Lady in the Pantsuit Says It Is'
May 11, 2008 4:11 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton spoke in Grafton, W.Va., on Mother’s Day with her daughter by her side. Clinton read a few messages from supporters who urged her to continue her bid for the presidency.
"'Keep strong,' she said. 'It's not over until the lady in the pantsuit says it is,'" Clinton said, reading what she said was her favorite message.
Another one she read said: "Keep fighting. No matter what the outcome may be, the fact that you stood throughout the constant ups and downs of this race -– one things is sure –- you never wavered and you never gave up."
"'Don’t give up. I’m supporting you looking at my girls and knowing that when the going gets tough, you keep forging ahead,'" Clinton said, as she continued to read the messages she'd received. "A Californian wrote, 'For the sake of our future and mothers everywhere, keep your head up, keep going in this race, keep fighting. I'm with you all the way.'"
Clinton thanked women who came before her and spoke about being a young trial lawyer. She later appealed to the audience, saying, "I am asking for your support so I can continue to fight for you."
Earlier today Clinton went to church and prayed with her daughter. She did not speak at the church, as she has in the past. Clinton has one more event in Charleston, W.Va. this evening.

Please don't forget there are 16,400,000 people who are backing her.
She is not doing this for some weird selfish reason. She is continuing because her supporters say so.

Hillary is wasting hers and everyone else's time with continuing this stubborn, delusional and very selfish campaign. Her baggage is far greater, far worse, and there was plenty yet to be revealed by the Republicans if she had been successful in her run than anything that can be used against Obama. Clinton and her shills asked why Obama stayed a member of an 8 thousand member church with a jerk pastor, when the bigger question to ask is why Hillary stayed married to a jerk serial adulterer, who sexually exploited a White House intern, then was stupid enough to lie about it to the Feds leading to his Impeachment? Her willingness to stand by WJC so to pursue her political ambitions makes her unseemly and unelectable. She and Bill are flawed, ethically bankrupt, ruthless people. It's over, she lost.

Obama and his left wingerers can't handle the truth. and this "jerk" you refer to is the only Democrat to win re-election as President since FDR. Cliton won WV, Gore lost WV, if he did not he would of been President.
The first thing Obama did after delcring himelf nominee was go get his ass kissed on Capital Hill. Same old , same old.

It is not over, media want Hillary to drop out so that in the general election they can go after Obama, they did the same thing with Gore and Kerry, they know Obama is piece of cake, under his belt he is having the pastor, the Bill Ayers, the bitter gate, and GOD knows how many more gates will be surfacing in September October. Same on media.

Is there any doubt AT ALL in anyone's mind that Hillary and/or Bill Clinton will lie at any opportunity if they believe it will serve them better than the truth? Be it over sexual relations with 'that' woman, or I supported NAFTA while I was against it, or was it that she was against NAFTA while she supported it? Bringing peace to Northern Ireland and Bosnia? Sniper fire? Gas taxes pandering. White House experience, etc. And if you think she understands the blue-collar worker, check out the video of her at the Seven Eleven trying to use the coffee machine. Really a shot and a beer girl or a gun advocate? Yeah, right.........:-)

Happy Mother's Day Senator Clinton! Fight on, to the convention if needed! This country will get better if you're in charge!
For those who haven't voted when considering Senator Obama don't forget who is "friends" are... Rev. Wright, Mr. Ayers and Mr. Rezko... And ponder the familiar phrase before casting your vote "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are".... Good luck!

Dear Hillary, I am with you all the way.You are the strongest, most qualified for the job, therefore you deserve to win and you will! America needs you.

It's time women stood up and make their stand with the Democratic party who have let woman down this time around. Someone with Senator Clinton's background is obviously the better candidate, but the party prefers to back their boy wonder. It's time we took our seat at the front of the bus and not budge. Talk of unifying the party is bull. As a lifelong 50 year old Democrat, I'm one who will vote for McCain and hope that Hillary will make another run in 2012. Then, maybe the Democratic party will take women seriously. HILLARY FIGHT ON!

Clinton is pass the point of anything short of acting like a self-centered pin-head. Her base does not represent a broad coalition, it's a narrow bunch of ex-feminists trying to resurrect the pass. I'm so glad the voters have enough sense to pick the two best candidates for both the Republican and Democrat nominees. I'm an Independant and I think the choices this fall will be the best we've seen in a long long time.

Things are NOT as they are made to appear.
For all the talk about "Super Delegates", there is nothing "Super" about them. Just as everyone of us, they have one vote each. Their endorsement is just that, an endorsement. It is not a vote. They are not supposed to come into play unless there is a deadlocked convention, and in that case, they are expected to exercise their BEST JUDGMENT to cast their votes for that candidate they, in view of their extensive experience and political wisdom, think would be able to WIN the General Election. They are not supposed to be endorsing this or that candidate, BEFORE THEY VOTE AT THE CONVENTION. To do otherwise is to be false to the trust and responsibility that has been placed in and on them.
It would be better at this point if all the bickering supporters of each candidate looked at the number of ACTUAL PLEDGED DELEGATES allocated to their candidate on the basis of primaries and caucuses won. Those figures, for those who truly follow politics are:
Obama 1410
Clinton 1332
Diff. 78
Of the “surveyed” “Super Delegates”, of which there are approx. 795, there are at least 274 who have not “endorsed” any candidate, which is as it was intended to be. Again, an “endorsement” does not necessarily translate into a convention vote, since in theory “Super Delegates” are supposed to represent the wisdom of the party and are expected to be above the fray. Those who have endorsed, really should be stripped of their position and replaced by those who will act as intended. However, that is the responsibility of the DNC, which so far, has proven inadequate to discipline its own members.
The bottom line, “Super Delegate” endorsements should not be counted by candidates claiming that such an “endorsement” makes this person into a PLEDGED DELEGATE, for that is NOT THE CASE, and to think otherwise is to delude oneself and one’s followers. It is also wrong for the media to even report what “Super Delegates” are doing now, as they do not even come into play unless and until there is a DEADLOCKED CONVENTION.
However, there is nothing to prevent partisans from 'counting chickens before they hatch", nor is there anything to prevent the media from playing games with gullible people to increase interest in these silly stories.
As Yogi Berra once said, "It ain't over, 'til its over". And this fight is a long way from over.

I am a working class white male who has supported you since the beginning and strongly encourage you to continue. It pains me that the party leadership, the super delegates, and the one annointed by Teddy have continuously shown their arrogance. I admire you for your courage as the first Woman President of the United States of America. Remember, we support you now and for 2012. Sorry to say that John will get my vote should the annointed one get his appointment. God Bless.

If she couldn't beat Obama in the primaries, with that huge political machine and all the chits due her and her husband, she sure isn't the candidate to beat McCain in the fall election. Besides, independents don't much like or trust her, and Republicans hate her. Obama can get crossover votes, even from Republicans. He is the better candidate.

Clinton even exploits Mother's Day for political advantage. She will stop at nothing. What a repulsive, selfish human being.

Okay...let's stick with the information in the piece. Hillary is still in. 'K. I do not support her as a candidate, but I can see where she can be held in esteem by some for not throwing in the towel...a show of women's strength and all that. Too bad she couldn't learn how to be truthful and not a symbol of "hell hath no fury..."
