Clinton Returns to Puerto Rico … And the Dancing Continues

Share

May 30, 2008 10:25 PM

ABC News' Eloise Harper reports:  Sen. Hillary Clinton arrived two hours late Friday night to her rally in downtown San Juan.  She spoke for nine minutes but didn't leave her event without pulling some dance moves onstage. Renowned Puerto Rican musician Juan Luis Guerra played reggaeton and Latin techno music. Clinton smiled onstage as she danced with supporters.

Clinton spent last weekend dancing through the island. Last Sunday morning, she swayed to the music in an evangelical church, followed by more dancing in Boqueron Beach and then did a little shimmy with a Fox news producer in old San Juan, clutching an El Presidente beer.

Perhaps tradition will hold and Clinton will continue to dance her way through this weekend.

The notion Obama has recieved a "free pass" by the media is completely false.

The 2 weeks b/f the crucial Indiana and North Carolina primary, Rev. Wright was pasted on every single major news network.

Results. Obama loses Indiana slightly (a state Hillary should have won by double digits due to demographics) and blows out Hillary in North Carolina.

The reason Hillary lost this fight is not b/c of the media but due to lack of strategy.

She had no strategy for the weeks following Super Tuesday. She thought with her name recognition and fame, she would have the nomination locked by Super Tuesday... wrong

Also, lets not forget Hillary was the media darling earlier on in the primaries. She was the "inevitable" candidate. Wife of Bill Clinton, first lady, experience, connections etc

Hillary lost this race b/c her campiagn was fatally flawed from DAY 1

If Hill pushes the primaries to the convention floor in August, she will have done a good job for McCain because that will mean a direct win for the unelectable old McCain. We hope that she does not want that to happen as she said herself. God bless America and God bless Obama.OBAMA08.

There is a Future for Hillary Clinton

She can Go On "Dancing with The Stars"!

I defer to your post!

I want to ask him:what would he feel if he exchange places with Hillary?
It is frightening to see such callousness towards a fellow democrat if she is a tough opponent.

Seriously now. Have you been following the campaign at all? Do you think Hillary has been so honest, forthright, and passive?

"If you can't take the heat..." (remember)

"If you don't expect to get knocked around..." (remember)

Oh my, did someone hurt her feelings? That's such BS. Even I give her that much, she IS tough. This guy's comments did not bother her at all. She loved it! Whoever they had planted in the church recording it loved it!

Who exactly do you think circulated that tape all over the media? Obama?

Get real.

Ya, people tend to stay in their comfort zone. but that'snoy a way to fight. It's no longer a primary election battle because the die is case. It could be a legal battle with the obvious intention of "If I dont get it, neither will you have it" attitude.

Juan Luis Guerra is Dominican, not Puerto Rican.

I'm glad Hillary spirits are high. Even thought Puerto Rico can't vote in the general,it's just bragging rights.I think she will lose but she's having fun. Go girl.

Lisa -- just looked online -- Puerto Rico's population is larger than 22 states! So I guess that explains the delegate count.

L - that's stupid. Puerto Ricans are very Demo. voting in NY. And Clinton won every racial demographic both times!

Those comments were coming after BHO's whining about the tough questions for BHO related to the issues and patriotism. BHO even gave some hand gesture in NC rally after PA's debate, which is not man enough, let alone presidential.

FYI, Hillary has not whining about his pastor's comments. The only time Hillary was complaining was in Texas debate about the first questions she has been receiving. The problem for that is BHO does not have any his own idea, but a good copy machine. Hillary cannot distinguish herself by answering the question first.

Please watch their debate if you have time, you can tell the difference, and you will know that BHO is nothing when he is on his own foot.

I heard there are people from all across the country for Hillary in washington tonight it is really happening.

After seeing Father Pfleger again, I urge Pelosi and Reid to pay attention...It will be Hillary on the ticket or LET IT RAIN MCCAIN THIS NOVEMBER. Do not let the "cartoon" section into the White House. Obama can "regret" all he wants. But we know now for certain that he will be President of 14% of the country.

Hillary lied to a grand jury?????!!!!!!!!

"Ah shoot, if the Clintons can lie to a grand jury, what is a little ole previously agreed to rule anyway right?"

Posted by: Tony | May 31, 2008 1:39:56 AM

Please see the most classic poster ever of a would be President. It's called SNOB with the O and the B pretty much on brand. The tag "It's an elitist thing. You wouldn't understand."

Defeat him at the box. I feel more strongly about this candidate than I hated George W. Bush. Read what the international papers are saying about what a nothing he is. They think he's a complete lark. LET IT RAIN MCCAIN.

Juan Luis Guerra is a renowned composer and singer, a native and pride of the Dominican Republic; not from Puerto Rico. He composes mostly merengues, bachata and religious rithems, from the folklore of Dominican Republic...
Just for the record...

Honestly, I have tried to support Obama; but I just can't... I don't trust him. I changed my Party today from Dem to Independent. I will write Hillary's name in...I can't vote for anyone I don't trust. Obama supporters are strange-I talked with one today and she was elusive, vague, distant, almost appeared to be on drugs, I'm not kidding!

Posted by: proud independent | May 31, 2008 2:16:38 AM

I urge fellow Hillary supporters to vote against Obama as well as all super delegates who supported him.

Let us take down this party. It needs to be destroyed before we can build a better party. They have been nominating McGovern, Dukakis and now Obama. We need to teach them a lesson.

So why did Obama marry one?
