Clinton Sheds Pantsuit for Puerto Rico
May 25, 2008 1:46 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., visited the beach of Boqueron in Puerto Rico, where she traded in the blue pantsuit she was wearing in church earlier in the day for a pink floral tunic, white Capri pants and what appeared to be Feragamo white leather slides.
Clinton, who appeared happier than she has been in weeks, smiled from ear to ear as she listened to the local dance and drum group play music and dance. Clinton clapped and swayed her head through the performance.
She gave brief remarks, saying that on the day of the Puerto Rican parade in New York -- even she feels like a member of their island. "Those of us who weren't lucky enough to be born Puerto Rican feel like we are Puerto Rican on that day."
Clinton stopped on the rope line to say to a national reporter who covers her campaign, "This is pretty great, isn't it?" When the reporter followed up, saying, "It sure beats Iowa," Clinton continued shaking hands and did not comment further.

Go Hillary! I am glad that she is enjoying herself. I think she has found her stride in this campaign. Here's to a strong, amazing woman.

On the experience issue I presume Obama will consult with others who have expertise in whatever area he is dealing with...like every other president. The GOP guys seem to think he will be sitting all alone making every decision himself.Obama is Americas only hope of becoming a decent nation

The Clintonites want to tear the party apart.Hillary lost this election because the majority of democrats don't want her, not because of sexism or misogyny. Many black men have ran for president and lost in the past big deal. Blacks still hung with the party. This time around they may have a winner so what? Obama is a good man and represents the party well. Hillary is a good woman and party member who has spent her life doing much good. She failed because of her own short comings and low moral character not because the world was against her. Its funny every time she says something stupid Clintonites blame Obama.Grow the heck up people.

Wow, so much hate from the Hillary supporters! I am disappointed in some of these people, They act just like Republicans when they lose!

Hillary has won the popular vote so how could she destroy the party. If Obama wins he will destroy the party because Hillary supporters will not vote or vote for John McCain. Another Jelly Bean Dean moment.

Talk about sexism.....I believe it is the Obaminables who have made disparaging remarks about Hillary.....talking about issues and concerns about a candidates experience is different than making comments about her integrity and appearance. For me, BO criticizes everyone else but has yet to talk about his ideas of how he would "change" the country....This has been a frequent complaint about his campaign. Also Hillary will probably take the popular vote and the delegate math is very dubious at best. We have had quite a convoluted primary system with caucuses, primaries and caucus (texas), and then Michigan and fla not counting....Really this is not a good way to run a primary. I have always voted democrat and I have an MSN.....and are some of you saying that if you don't have a degree that you have no right to an opioion or a vote (ala Michigan/Fla)??? Talk about a candidate's appearance and her loyal supporters....and you wonder why people think BO is an elitist????? BO does not have experience and all he seems to be able to present are vague ideas with no substance!!!

Nope, no there is no sexism in this campaign at all...we still report on what females wear all this time after Margret Chase Smith...this is still relevant to report on..why? Because we have a "female" candidate. And then some of the commenters have the audacity to say her change in dress is to get votes. I swear sexism in this country is so rampant it is disgusting.

Hillary Clinton will be the next president. Just wait and see.

Clinton is a creature of Washington( supported by lobbyists ) who will promise you the world for a vote, most people who can not think and hear what they want to hear are her supporters!

It is a waste of time trying to reason with these Emotional Hillary supporters, they are so wrapped up in her agenda, alledged sexism andthey completely excuse her lowball tactics she used throughout the primaries. She has a high negative rating for being not trustworthy. She is losing the race because she ran as an incumbent(ready on day one,so called experience)she is a junior senator they same as obama, she is on a committee but not the head of any. Hillary wrapped herself in entitlement and ran on experience ,Bills.
SHE NEVER HELD AN EXECUTIVE POSITION IN HIS ADMINISTRATION,NEVER!

Wise up, Puerto Rico. Join the future.
Supporting Hillary's last gasp is not very strategic and sends all the wrong signals to Barack's new administration.
And be sure to take a last look at Hillary Clinton. She will never visit your lovely... but naive... little island again. Congratulations! You've joined the rest of America in being exploited by the Clinton family.

gorgon'08, your elitism against Puerto Ricans will never make them "naively" support your candidate. Wow, you people can't seem to understand human beings. Insult and attack people to support your candidate. Yeah, we really want this type of Presidency, that'll change the worlds hate against America.

Sexism....there it goes again! I'm surprised you don't want to know what underwear she changed into! It never stops. Yes, I too am waiting for the true story to come out concerning the Democratic campaign 08...but only if Hillary and Bill write it.

Why not have a photo with the article? How disappointing.

Clinton, the irrepressible panderer, will say anything, do anything, and wear anything to win this election. What she fails to realize is that American voters see through her deceptiveness. The Bosnia fable, and the Gas Tax Holiday are just 2 examples of the flawed and fraudulent candidate that most of the Democratic voters have rejected. Obama is the only candidate that can beat the pants off McCain in November.

Can someone please advice Hillary to stick to her campaign speeches and refrain from dancing? She looked really pathetic dancing in PR, pandering to the crowd, of course. It was a funny and nauseating sight all at once. Anything to win votes. Next thing you know, she'll come up with some story that part of her heritage is in Puerto Rico and she grew up eating rice and beans in some town over there.
