Hillary Clinton's Idea of Fun...

Share

May 31, 2008 9:07 PM

ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Does standing for six hours in a moving pick-up truck with dirt and wind blowing in your face, waving and waving the whole time, sound like fun? Well according to Sen. Hillary Clinton it was the most fun she has ever had campaigning.

"We went through many cities, and I was so happy to be standing up in the pick-up truck waving at all of the people on the streets and in the cars who were driving by," she said in San Juan, Puerto Rico. "It was the most fun I think I’ve had campaigning anywhere."

Clinton did take a few breaks while canvassing -– but as others began to fade at the end of the long day watching the senator wave to people from the truck, she kept smiling and waving, as the loudspeakers that followed her blasted songs by Ricky Martin and others, with "Hillary Clinton" incorporated into the lyrics.

At the end of the day, Clinton addressed the Mita Congregation, one where a few thousand of people gathered wearing all white.

"I feel very much at home here because I believe that we understand that we are called not to lead just hearers of the word, but doers of the word," she said.

Clinton also expressed her feeling of closeness with this island, saying as she has said frequently: "I am not a stranger to these beautiful islands, nor to the people of Puerto Rico. I am proud to represent 1 million Puerto Ricans in New York. I have also felt as though I was your senator as well as New York’s senator."

AFter the results of today's RBC meeting, riding on the back of a moving pickup, eating dust and waving at Puerto Ricans must feel like a hell of a good time...

Let's see, eating dust for six hours is the most fun one could have, and "I never had sex with that woman." Why can't the Clintons be sincere or honest about ANYTHING?!

they can not.
BUT they will eat dity and dust and whatever to get the powerThey do not care how ugly they are.
That is what we should care about not being dirt under clintons steps.
Get them OUT.

Isn't Hillary from Puerto Rico?

All the people wearing white is representive of a VooDoo congregation syncretized with Catholicism. Is the media & church police going to report on this......NO!

After Tuesday, Hillary will have 'forgotten' about Puerto Rico, just like all the other states she 'loved' before. She is truly psychotic, but she's a pedal to the metal old-style carpetbagger politician to the max.

Is there REALLY a need to be SO SARCASTIC in these comments? I think that people who are so vindictive and sarcastic are very sad individuals. There's enough of that in this world. And WHY do these type of comments come so often from OBAMA supporters? Just tells us about the kind of people he attracts.... I guess.

I can picture denver.

An Army of Disgruntled Hillary fans slowly shuffling toward the floor using their walkers.

I just hope that Obama is not forced to take Hillary as VP. Too much baggage, and old Washington politics, even bordering on Republican.

Hillary Supporters on the Lunatic Fringe-

Nice class you showed at the RBC meeting, interrupting the speakers, mocking, protesting like this was a gender rights issue and not some nonsense acquiescence for Hillary on two states that violated rules and shouldn't have even had delegates apportioned in the first place. She didn't even care about MI and FL, by her own f*cking words, until she was out of options.

Nice argument on MI too, that Barack made a blunder taking his name off and therefore she deserved all the delegates and none should be awarded for him - even though it is clear the uncommitteds were voting for him or Edwards.

Classy - so here's some language you'll understand. Please, pretty please, go eat sh*t and die. Seriously, go the f*ck away. I would rather cast a vote for Obama in a loss than try to expand a tent to accomodate you racist she-beasts. Stay home, vote for McCain, egg Clinton into a third party run, I don't care anymore - but please, please just go the f@ck away!

The Commander Guy,
Good to see you come up out of the mole hole and contribute to the collective nonsense. You have to be pleased with the outcome of the DNC rules committee today, with an outcome as divisive as ever. I for one am pleased with the outcome. Now that the Florida and Michigan votes have sanction by an allocation of delegates, those votes now count. This give Obama* an asterik as the second choice of a majority of Democrats. Now he can go to the general caucus and campaign with the asterik. She doesn't have to burn down da' house, he's carrying it around going forward in the form of the asterik. The only question is whether seconds in the form of a dyed-in-the-wool liberal are sufficient for the nation-at-large. More than likely it will be Hillary going up against McCain in four years. Hillary will have the next three to smile and support and feel sorry for poor Obama, whose 15 minutes will be over once the general caucus has been completed.

Derek,

You and your man Obama* undoubtedly do not need our 17 million plus "lunatic votes. Good luck in the General Caucus in November.

Denver might end up looking like the foolish scene we saw today at the DNC rules meeting. What an embarrassment for the party, to see the way the Hillary supporters were acting uncivilized and disrespectful, even towards the fellow Hillary supporters on the committee! Shameful, but nonetheless amusing. At least the members made the right decisions in the end. I'm glad that FL and MI will now be represented in Denver.

This is what the end of a desperate campaign looks like. Imploding in Puerto Rico while her last hope is dashed in D.C. - or is it...

What's with the half of the Democratic party that are Obama supporters? You guys sound like Rush Limbaugh when it comes to the Clintons. And you're Democrats? What has Limbaugh become your new guru or something? Listen to yourselves sometimes. You've been listening to Rush way too long.
