Hillary Clinton's Electoral Map Argument
May 09, 2008 10:48 PM
ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Hillary Clinton was back in Louisville, Ky., Friday night delivering her stump speech. She rolled through her lines at the Democratic Party dinner in this state where she is up in the polls, as many in the audience cheered while holding “Hillary” signs.
Sen. Clinton re-introduced her electoral map argument, which she raised yesterday in West Virginia, where she said “delegate math may be complicated, but the electoral math is easy.” Clinton on Friday night sought to make the same argument that she can win the election in November despite Sen. Barack Obama’s lead in delegates.
Clinton said, “The only way we can have a Democrat in that White House come next January is to win in November, and we cannot win unless we can win 270 electoral votes. Look at the map and figure out where we are going to get those votes and which candidate is more likely to be able to win those votes in November.”
Clinton even offered a jab toward her opponent during the dinner saying, “We have had enough of speeches. Enough promises. That’s not going to solve our problems. What we need is action.”
The senator was introduced by superdelegate and DNC committee member Terry McBrayer, who ribbed Sen. Obama for not spending time in Kentucky.
“We have been looking for Obama in Kentucky,” he said. “I personally contacted with Dean’s Milk Company, and we are putting Obama’s picture on a carton of milk to see if we can find him in Kentucky.”
The crowd booed, to which McBrayer responded, “Bring it on.”
Clinton saw the opportunity later in her speech to remind guests that she made the effort to be at the dinner. “I am the only candidate here tonight in Kentucky with all of you,” Clinton said to a loud cheer.

While there will be fall out from those Clinton supporters who truly don't have the best interest of the party at heart, the majority will support Obama. Saying that just because she won certain states has never been used before because it just won't hold water.
This is a last ditch effort for her to try to show someone..anyone...that she still has a chance.
Sooner or later I hope someone can get her to deal with reality.

yeah cause 30-40 point wins in states that have the lowest delegate amounts will equal to about a net gain of what Obama picked up today in superdelegates.
WV is 27 delegates. How many did Obama get today. 9. Oh and guess what...hes already ahead 166 delegates.

Hehe, you Clinton supporters, your a funny bunch. Question, if Hillary was stock, and you need that stock for you retirement to generate income, would you still hold it? One lady is willing to bet her retirement on her winning. I'll tack that bet! The extra money will by me a another boat. Question for McCain: What is the official policy for the military/armed forces of the United States for soldiers when it comes to being capture as a POW. What is it you are supposed to do at any opportunity, at any time, regardless of potential of personal injury? By the way, if anyone wants to see what it would sound like to be around cult members, check out Hillary's Blog. And don't forget your candles!

it will not just be elected delegates Clinton peopel will fight if Obama has more elected delegates and Clinton has more popular votes which will happen that means the caucuses were a sham!

Why are people so upset about Hamas? These are legitimate people. Rev Wright was right about whites in america. All Clinton supporters think about are Jews. Jews are idiots. They should have been exterminated. Rev Wright was right .

Funny, how people think race is over. Just to show these stupid Obama supporters Hillary should run as Independent and see if Obama can win without her. The idiot Obama couldn't wait three weeks. don't disrespect your elders.

Hamas is ten times worse than ayers wright etc but they were not just about race you think you are so smart by getting black vote out in NC but NC wont matter in the GE its not about racism its about electability in which Obama will lose the GE period!

This is in response to the arguing about Obamas campaign official meeting with Hamas. One of his “Informal” campaign advisors named Rob Malley. Malley regularly met with people in Hamas. So yes the story is true. Another doublespeak by Obama? That’s up to you.
.
And to the blogger who said they couldn’t find any stories about it, I found many about it in 10 seconds so its not hard to find

At some point , folks are going to just reject Obama as not the guy he says he is.
He is a first term liberal senator with a freaky preacher and angry wife.
This is exactly who he is behind the rhetoric.
