Obama Iowa Bound...Again

ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: On Tuesday, while the polls are closing in Kentucky and Oregon, Sen. Barack Obama will return to Iowa, the state that launched his campaign in the limelight. The campaign confirms that the senator will hold a rally in Des Moines with his wife Michelle Obama.

"It will be nice reunion with everybody who helped us get started," Obama told reporters as he ate popcorn today at a fair in Keizer, Ore.

The last time Obama was in the state was Jan. 3, the night he won the Iowa caucuses in a surprising victory, and took off that night for New Hampshire.

The return to the early state is one more signal that Obama is looking ahead to the general election: Iowa will be an important battleground state if Obama runs against John McCain, a state which Obama will vie hard for.

The night is also symbolic for Obama’s campaign -- when Obama will likely win the majority of the pledged delegates based on the outcomes of the Kentucky and Oregon primaries. While Obama still will not have the 2026 delegates he would need to clinch the nomination, the Obama campaign is playing up the symbolism of the majority mark.

On Wednesday night, Obama was asked by a reporter if he would declare victory Tuesday night if he reached the majority of pledged delegates.

"We will declare that we have the majority of pledged delegates," Obama replied flatly.

Obama is expected to win in Oregon, and Sen. Hillary Clinton is expected to best Obama in Kentucky.

Last Tuesday, after the polls closed in West Virginia, Obama followed a similar strategy: He held an event in Missouri, a state that has already voted. Obama visited Michigan this week and has plans to visit Florida next week.

The media has not been fair or kind to Obama either. The media tried to destroy his campaign. They brought up his school in Indonesia as a madrasa, his cocaine use, he's a muslism, unpatriotic, is he white enough ?, Rezno trial, smoking, wife Michelle, Myers underground , no experience, Rev Wright, he's Black, NAFTA, etc. and it just keeps bouncing off of the him. Now, Hillary Clinton was the presumtive nominee. However, when your opponent out maneuvers you, such as: raised more money, out campaigned you, caused you to cry in New Hampshire, planned ahead, out spent you 2 to 1, won more states, won more endorsements, went up against the so called Clinton machine and never had to loan himself any money to run your own campaign, I think he has deserved to be the nominee just on those merits alone. How did she allow an African American who is so called in- experience, perform better? How could Hillary run this country when she can't even run her own campaign ? Also, he went up against a 2 term President Mr. Bill Clinton and they still to this day can't stop him.Hillary was up in the polls in all of the states before the campaign began. I believe this campaign is ordained by God or destined and nothing is going to stop him from winning. The only thing America can do is assassinate the man. Nevertheless, Obama has won this thing fair and square, using the party rules. Hillary Clinton era is over and it's time for a new frontier and new directions for this nation. All of the elected officials before us , have failed the American people and I think it's time for an African American to get us back on track. And Amerca don't like losers, we have always given the winners the Glory..

Don't mention about speaking. I don't know how in the world George W. Bush became President. He can't even speak at all. No wonder he doen't want to speak with his enimies, because he doesn't know how to speak. If you listen to Obama or go on his website , he is very clear on his position regarding his plan for Amerca. You guys hear what you want to hear. I bet you can't explain yourself regarding Hillary's plan for this country.Obama has a plan, you just caught up in the rhetoric from the media and your bias friends.

I hear Obama is holding a fundraiser in Florida next week - what a hypocrite! He has been doing everything possible to negate the votes of millions in Florida and Michigan, yet he has the audacity to ask for their money. I cannot believe that anyone with half a brain cannot see this man for the inexperience, arrogant, disingenuous pretender that he is. Please wake up America before it's too late.
