Et Tu, Emanuel? Top Clintonite Backs Obama
June 04, 2008 12:15 PM
ABC News' Rick Klein and Sunlen Miller Report: Rep. Rahm Emanuel, one of the most influential uncommitted superdelegates, has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president, a spokeswoman tells ABC News.
Emanuel, D-Ill., is the fourth-ranking member of House leadership, and was sought after by both Obama and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Emanuel served as a high-ranking aide in Bill Clinton's White House and is a longtime friend of Obama, who represents the Senate from his home state.
The Obama campaign said Emanuel, who is Jewish, will help Obama at a meeting with board members of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Wednesday in Washington. Emanuel informed Sen. Clinton of his decision on Tuesday, as the final voting took place in Montana and South Dakota.

Why is a Jewish supporter so special to the phony hypocrite Bho? How about a Cuban supporter? A West Virginia supporter? A black supporter, maybe?
Now race, or gender, matters again to this phony.

Rahm Emmanuel has known Obama's campaign advisor, David Axelrod, for years.
They are very close.

Just like you apply a job and you qualify for that job.
Somebody else uses some good recommendations to talk directly to the boss.
The boss takes your rival and reject you.
Even you are the better one to do the job.
It happens a lot and this is happen now with the Dem.
I'm done with Dem,,,bye bye Dem..

It's about time. It is good that the "Super Delegates" supported democracy in the primaries and let the people's votes decide. That decision (apart from quibbles about rules that were capable of cynical manipulation) has been clear for some time. Continued division is not good for the party and if a Democratic victory in November is good for the country then they further delay is not good for America either. Bring on John McCain's shrinking Republican minority and his deranged army of 'Christian Soldiers.' It's time to decide the meaning of "Family Values" They say the most important things are my girl-friend's abortion and my neighbor's boyfriend; I say it is having 50 states that run under the rule of law where folks have a fair chance at a decent job in a country that values our children's future. In November, the people will decide.

It's a simple matter of self-preservation, Washington-think style. Yup, old politics. No change like we the people think of change. But Obama's big-name followers have all gone to him because of their own self-interests. No one stands on principle in Obama-land, because it's only principle is Generation X ruthlessness...whatever it takes. What interests me is History's long-eye: it took a traitor from Clinton's Senate campaign like David Axelrod, who knows every breath the Clintons take and why, to defect and then ruthlessly turn on his former boss.

No one who wins the GE will have an easy time of it, Obama or McCain. We have so many problems to correct or, more realistically, to lay the groundwork for moving toward healing. I think Obama shows the most promise in terms of thinking of creative answers. What he may lack in experience he can cover with an experienced team around him. As for all the naysayers in this blog, please just let time pass. Your candidate lost, but that doesn't mean you should take on Republican ideals. That would be VERY BAD for this country. Even without your help in the GE, Obama should fairly easily win this election and become the next President. I'm confident that his intelligence will be visible to you over the next few months and especially during the presidential debate.

There is now a photo circulating across the blogosphere featuring Mrs. Obama, Mrs. Farrakhan, and Reverend Willie Barrow, together at the 2004 Rainbow/Push Coalition. This photo was posted in Jet Magazine, one of the event sponsors. It remains to be seen what Michelle Obama officially said during that event. The question is do we want the Farrakhans in the White House?

Obama quit his church NOW after all of those years of such "surmons". He only
quit because he is running for president. Don't you think that he went along all of those years with the same "surmons"? To "preach" such attitudes is wrong. This is not the first "surmon" like this that was preached over the years in that church. Look up the church on the internet. No matter what anyone thinks or says about church and state...it exists and many, many people are taking notice. Let's see what the political bosses do about this? Wake up America...are you going to let the political bosses sell us out? My father gave his life for this country, and I am not about to let it go down the drain. This is a message to the political bosses: WE SHALL OVERCOME!

why don't abcnews use the DNC vote numbers? It appears that you all are for hillary only!

My Daddy: Yep... That's the bottom line. To quote Karl Rove: "Elections are abut the future." The question remains: Are American voters smart enough to vote for the possibility of a more open & honest administration that would pragmatically implement a more progressive agenda? Or, will we again settle for the certainty that comes with cynical manipulation of fear by way of delusions about race/gender&religion to end up with more-of-the-same-McCain? Republicans have lost their right to govern this country by their failure to live up to their own conservative principles. We can't afford four more years of this incompetence, cynicism and corruption.

Politics is disgusting. Emanuel was no one until Bill Clinton gave him work at the whitehouse. Hillary Clinton was a close friend of Axelrod, even staying with his daughter at the hospital during her illness. The Clinton's are criticized for being ambitious, what do you call Emanuel, Axelrod,Obama, Clyburn, et.al? They are not ambitious.

Heard on the news a couple of days ago that, over the past 15 years, while "Rev." Wright has been spewing his hate-filled, racist, anti-American, anti-white speeches, and Obama has "not-heard" any of that, their "church", which recently gave a Lifetime Achievement award to Louis Farrakhan, has quietly been the recipient of $15,000,000 of our tax dollars! They are probably still getting it!
How'd they arrange to get that much of our tax money, who set that up, do you think? Separation of church and state? Has that been repealed? Do you think anybody should ask Obama if he had anything to do with getting that "church" this money? If he didn't, who did? Shouldn't we know?

If you are a true Democrat, you will support who the nominee is no matter what had happened in the primary..it was a choice of your party and you should not be sad or mad that your candidate did not win..simply the BEST wins..that's why there is democracy in America. I am FIRED UP and READY TO GO!!!

Nov. 5th 2008 and every dream the Democrats had for 2008 have come true. Rep. Rahm Emanuel may have been invited to be Obama's Chief of Staff in the White House. Can he say no?; I hope not.
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their Country.
