James Clyburn to Endorse Barack Obama
June 02, 2008 5:22 PM
ABC News' Jake Tapper Reports: Respected civil rights leader and Democratic House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., will endorse Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for president formally on Tuesday, ABC News can confirm, as reported first by the Associated Press.
Clyburn is calling other superdelegates Monday to get them on board before the last Democratic primary contests.
The South Carolina congressman had expressed concern about the negative tone of the Democratic nomination race and has criticized how Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign has dealt with Obama.
Clyburn was incensed when former President Bill Clinton dismissed Obama's South Carolina victory in January, comparing his win to those of Rev. Jesse Jackson's 1984 and 1988 primary wins, and later said the Obama campaign "played the race card" on him.
"How do you play the race card on the ex-president of the United States?" Clyburn asked at the time. "How do you do it? I would like to know how that's done and who they [are]. And I'd like to see these memos he's talking about. That's what's so bizarre about this."

WOW the Democrats really want a communist rule. Does anybody really realize what a single party communist rule is like to live under. Just ask the secret police the Russians had spying on the citizens.

Next wait for Pelosi, Reid, Carter and I think Gore... Then you know Clinton wins this.
I am actually not sure about Howard Dean, he always had an independent streek in him. I always regret how the Dems failed Dean for Kerry. Let's not make that mistake again.
Clinton 08!

17 Senate SDs also plan on endorsing Obama wednesday

Since Obama couldn't win it; may as well give it to him, so he can limp across the finish line.

What takes him so long?
He wants to pretend that he is fair? Like hell he is.
BO is the most unqualified candidate that shall funk all the CEO evaluation but the nomination of democratic party has been rigged up and tailor-made for him.
However, he still will blows himself up before November because everybody will know what an empty suit he is.
He can not hide and act behind podium or pulpit and pretend to be supreme.
Nobama Neverobama

Becasue you know it's true!

We already knew he already endorsed him long time ago by playing the race card. He pretends to be uncommitted superdelegate.

Thankfully, folks like "as way," who paint anyone left of Atilla the Hun as communist, while folks like Dubya and McBush continue to lead our country down the road to ruin, are dwindling in numbers.
We have a clear choice in November -- for more years of Bush/Cheney neocon politics with McBush, or bringing meaningful change to Washington!! Thankfully, by the end of the week, we'll be in full General Election Mode for the next President of the United States, Senator Barack Obama!!!!
Obama 2008 -- Yes, WE CAN!!!

I'm an Independent and I'll vote for McCain before I vote for Obama!
Posted by: CD | Jun 2, 2008 5:43:18 PM
Two kind of Endorsements from SD:
1. Obama is "once a lifetime leader" and can bring "change" to America so I casted my vote for him....
2. It is mathamatically unlikely Hillary can overtake delegate lead, so I casted my vote for Obama...

I though this was old news.

Why couldn't Ms Clinton win???? and don't claim it is because she is a woman in a mans world because that just is not true in this dy and age,no matter how the Clintons want to make people believe it is.

This guy is a real joke. Play race card again and again and again.

CD-
I am also an Independent, and rest assured, even if my vote for Obama does nothing more than cancel out your vote for McOld, I'll be at the voting station bright and early..
Obama 08

We're looking at $5/gallon for gas, a crumbling infrastructure, a war that's bleeding us dry in money, lives and ability to respond to the real threats out there and an economy circling the drain.
And all you have to offer is spiteful whining because you want to take your ball and go home?
No wonder this country is in such sorry shape. 8 years of King George has turned YOU ALL into my way or the highway spoiled children who don't deserve the rights Americans better than you have fought and died to give you.
Disgraceful.

All Clyburn has to do is ask Obama and he can tell him how he played the race card on Clinton. It looks like playing the race card will be tried in the general but it will do Obama no good. He want be in the primary then and want have Clinton to blame.

Well how didn't expect this. Evrybody new this windbag was in the bag for the guy.
It is sad how you going from I will have all the delegates I need to, please help me limp across the finish line.
This nomination will go down in history with an asterik. The only way he won was to buy it!

I find it humorous that they use lines like "Chickens coming home to roost " . A line that if you went to you tube you would see that came from a Republican on Fox News. We are going to enjoy being able to talk freely without having to worry about the speech police.
Just remember McCain will bring you more of the same.
Exercise your brain and think before you speak. You will have a stronger argument.
