N.Y. Congressional Democrats: We Endorse Obama
June 05, 2008 3:54 PM
ABC News' James Gerber reports: Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., led his fellow Democrats from the New York Congressional Delegation, including many of Sen. Hillary Clinton's, D-N.Y., strongest supporters, in endorsing Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for president Thursday afternoon.
Standing with his colleagues from New York in front of the Democratic National Committee headquarters, Rangel announced, "We collectively endorse Senator Obama."
"It was a great campaign," reflected Rangel, "and we are so pleased to see that on this Saturday, in Washington, D.C., [Clinton] intends not only to reach out for unity, but to reach out and support directly Senator Obama."
Rangel said that Clinton waited to hear the counsel of her supporters before making a decision. "She said that she was delaying for the purpose of getting advice from her supporters," said Rangel. "And she got the advice."
As to why Clinton is waiting until Saturday to endorse Obama, Rangel said "she wanted to include more than just members of Congress."
Rangel was not surprised that Clinton held out as long as she did. "We're Democrats," he proclaimed. "Dammit to hell we fight. When it's over, we come together and go out there to win."

Latest Intrade Prediction Market quotes...
Obama: 61.4
McCain: 35.9

As for me, I prefer to see where the money is going. People who put their money on the line are a lot more credible than the blowhards who rant about voting for McCain.

Just for the record -- the "draft" that Rangel has proposed is not the military draft with which we are familiar. If you read the bill, it's a two-year public service committment for everyone, men and women, and goes far beyond military service. Controversial, yes? But not a "return to the draft" as it has been portrayed. --- And no, I have no idea if Obama has ever expressed an opinion on it.

Heard on the news three days ago that, over the past 15 years, while "Rev." Wright has been spewing his hate-filled, racist, anti-American, anti-white speeches, and Obama has been "not-hearing" any of that, their "church", which recently gave a Lifetime Achievement award to Louis Farrakhan, has quietly been the recipient of $15,000,000 of our tax dollars! They are probably still getting it!
How'd they arrange to get that much of our tax money, who set that up, do you think? Separation of church and state? Has that been repealed? Do you think anybody should ask Obama if he had anything to do with getting that "church" this money? If he didn't, who did? Shouldn't we know?

For OB's supporters and DM leftists, I, as one observer, offer one thing for you: In order to win the GE, you must grow up from the small state strategies (that pushed OB over HRC) and offer really good things to a lot of groups of people. Shouting to HRC's supporters will not help to win but just create chances for the old guy.
Here are some tips.
1. Since you leftists want idealogical thing, you must be consistent. Now, black can be P. That alone would not win much respect from world. You must admit all wrong doing in the past. Such wrong doing is in a very very long list. Bring that list up now. Only so, you can win.
2. Offer HRC VP. No matter how bad you feel about this, do this.
3. Offer some really good things for those OH, PA, KY manufacturing workers.
4. Stop lying to stop war immediately. War should and will be stopped gradually. But, have to admit the fundamental fact: America violates most basic principle of world. It is not enough to say the war is wrong. It is America (as a whole) went wrong and invaded one independent country. It is aggression. Got it?
But, I strongly doubt DM leftists have such courage to do all things. So, I strongly doubt their chance to win GE.

I respect Rangel a great deal . Even Clyburn , Sharpton and Jackson respect Rangel.

THE DNC Fix has been running for awhile.
Since the first pelosi and dean opened their mouth pressuring for a end to the primaries, months before they were over.
The Democratic Machine, wants to rule the country. The want supreme power. The want total control.
Greed, Power and Money The whirl wind in the DNC.
Hillary would not of gone with their power plan. So she had to go.
The Democratic party has proven that the people do not matter, the best interest of the Country does not matter. What they want is all that matters.
Evident by what they have, done, said and executed.
Our forefathers tried to prevent this, other Presidents warned of this.
America as you know it will be no more.
The gears are in motion, Who has the guts to stop it?
Can they stop it before it is to late?
Some one better or you can kiss you butt goodbye.
Base on facts, actions and what is before you today.

We will not condone any effort to push Hillary around.
None of those pundits has ever accomplished that Hillary has done.
In Nov, we shall see what happens to the undemocratic party turns to. They do not represent the voters well.

Let me go on record to say that Hillary has the DNC in a bind. She can demand that she be the VP or run as an independent because all the women that are mad in this country would vote for you, the Latinos, WVA, KY and SD he would lose and what a day that would be. I would love every minute of it. Split the democrats in half and let them suffer.

Mark,
Go to vote. I am sure you will vote OB.
But, would that strong enough to produce what you want?
OK. I assume you are right. OB is in the office. Then what? A group of super greedy are in the office to cash in by abusing their power. What you get as one ordinary people? NOTHING.
That is why I said: it is not enough for your Leftist to just produce one black guy in P. You should produce one list that he must done. I do not see such a list. For example, can he (or can you) admit this: America violate the most principle of world peace and should compensate Iraq people?
Ha Ha ha. This is the test.

She is all done demand and be damned.

Nicholas and geevil: primaries are over, get over it, your candidate Hill will ask you to support Obama on Saturday. There is no other way to make America a great country but to vote for Obama. McSame will not help this beloved country and get it in the right direction. God bless America and God bless Obama.OBAMA08.

The comments made here are too absurd to be taken seriously.
Whatever happens, this is going to be a fun show. As long as you don't take any of it seriously.

You see now, why she asked her supporters to go to her website and tell her what you want her to do.
Are you happy now?
I hope you leave her alone with peace.

They can endorse him if they want to. I'll never vote for him. Former Democrat for McCain
Posted by: kittyCat | Jun 5, 2008 8:08:50 PM
My mother always told me if I didn't have anything good to say, I should keep my mouth shut -- misery loves company. Many of you are so negative and it will get you know where. If you want to vote for McCain, that's your business. The sun is still going to shine and the Democrats will prevail in November.

There are some new bumper stickers out:
"Democrats For McCain"
Posted by: Jo | Jun 5, 2008 8:14:52 PM
So glad that Howard Wolfson told the media today that Hillary is not interested in the VP slot. Whew!
Posted by: ChicagoBabe | Jun 5, 2008 8:19:19 PM
The Dems are a strong party. McCain is toast come Nov!
Posted by: IslandGirl | Jun 5, 2008 8:20:15 PM
Jo, that is ridiculous. Why would anyone make a Democrats for McCain sign. If you are for McCain you are not a Democrat. You can't have it both. What a stupid statement. You'd be notes to be that bumper sticker on your car. Then again, maybe not. I suppose if you purchased it, you are already nuts.
