Obama and McCain to meet with Iraqi Foreign Minister
June 12, 2008 6:09 PM
ABC News' Kirit Radia Reports: Presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and John McCain are expected to meet individually with Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari in the coming days, sources told ABC News on the condition of anonymity because the meetings have not yet been announced.
McCain is expected to meet with Zebari on Sunday in Washington, D.C., and Obama is expected to speak with him over the phone on Monday.
Iraq's embassy in Washington refused to confirm that any meetings with the presidential candidates were scheduled.
Iraq has emerged as a central front in the early stages of the race between Sens. Obama and McCain. Sen. McCain, R-Ariz., has touted his foreign policy experience, having championed last year's force "surge" that is largely credited with the decline in violence throughout the country. At the same time McCain has derided his competitor for having not visited Iraq since 2006. McCain recently challenged Obama to visit Iraq with him.
Obama, D-Ill., has been a staunch opponent of the war in Iraq. He has promised to begin withdrawing troops from Iraq soon after taking office.
Foreign Minister Zebari is in the United States for discussions with administration officials, particularly on a status of forces agreement that is currently being negotiated in Baghdad. The agreement would establish a legal basis for US forces to operate in Iraq once the current United Nations mandate authorizing forces expires at the end of the year.

Dear American Voters,
Hon. Senator McCain and Obama, besides each having many attributes and characteristics. The critical differences between the two of these presidential presumptive nominees are as under:
1. Presidential "Temperament and Composer".
2. Little Washington "insider Versus outsider" experience.
3. "Vision and mission" for our nation future rather than past.
4. American policies, " first U.S.A Centric" than any other country [ ies ] centric.
In my professional opinion Senator Obama leads in all above qualities.
The need of our next movement and generation is a change. The Change in " past Washington and its Leadership". A change we can believe in and not the seductive, deceptive, and confusing slogan of "leader we can believe in" [? Effexor ?".
Our Greatgrand Nation has to address many present and future challenges and start with new clean "Slate and Senator".
God Bless America. its diverse people, and our Greatgrand Nation.
Our Greatgrand Nation is needs the CHANGE at every level and for long time.
I am sure Senator Obama with the help of Senator Clinton and her supporters, can deliver that CHANGE.
Please stay involved, stay engaged, and stay informed. Please do not allow any seduction, deception, and or confusion by some partisan media and leaders effect your vote [ Psychological Terrorism ]..
Yours truly,

At least take the time to read every policy and make an informed decision. I thank you all, as an Independent voter, from the bottom of my heart!

Col Khaj, I doubt that you are a registered voter, let alone American or ever in the military. Perhaps you are one of the hundreds of paid BHO bloggers just trying to make a living. If you do the research, the most trustworthy and moderate candidate that America needs today is McCain. Most military would not touch Obama with a 10 foot pole, he is too naive and liberal.

What is the purpose Obama wants to meet Iraqi Foriegn Minister??
Americans thought he has already thrown Iraq under the bus long time before....

you are pretty dumb...most Hillary supporters are adults and care about issues not their own spite...
most Hillary supporters overwhelmingly stepped for Barack and against everything John McCain is standing for...
but you probably don't even know what he is standing for this time huh?
of course not because if you did ...you would be a whack job or just plain stupid... to switch from Hillary Clinton and what she stood for and then switch to Mccain who is promising the opposite.

I hope he keeps his promise and throws
them some where, as we need the billions of dollars we are sending there.

Foreign Minister Zebari is in the United States for discussions and "lord" only knows what OBAMA will say this time. I guess we will have to wait until after the phone call on Monday, and hear what the Foreign Minister says and then have Mr. Obama say he misunderstood me, or I didn't say that.....on another issue the Fed's are trying to get Rezko to talk about the governor and senator (OBAMA) but no go by Mr. Rezko at this time. The Fed's strongly suspect corruption on the governor and senator side and frequently they try to get this information out of convicted criminals.
Rezko is a convicted liar and criminal, proven to be deeply involved in political graft and corruption. He is in jail awaiting sentencing. Rezko was the major fundraiser and bankroller for Barack Obama. The hundreds of thousands of dollars he got for OBAMA, the $650,000 lot he purchased for OBAMA, the contacts he made for OBAMA, the parties he threw for OBAMA the were all selfless philanthropic donations according to the man just convicted of corruption and extortion. OBAMA now says this was not the man he knew for some 17 years. You will need something really strong to drink in order to believe this story. Will Rezko talk when he goes to prison?

Sincerely,
Senator Obama

dl - You keep trying to make an argument for Obama. What you seem unable to understand is the fact that most of us cannot get away from the fact that he is racist and ill-equipped to become POTUS.
Now, I may be "dumb" according to you, but I am smart enough not to fall for Obama and his lies.
You have been on these blogs all these months, repeating the same arguments, talking points, whatever. I seriously doubt you have changed one mind in all that time. Myself, I read your blogs sometimes and other times, I don't. You are important only in your mind, not mine.
I will repeat to you again, Obama is racist and does not have the necessary qualifications to be President. That is why he is not getting my vote and a lot of other Hillary Supporters votes. McCain is ok with me, just like he was ok with John Kerry. lol.
Why don't you take the night off. You have been on these blogs every night for months now and really, you are not doing a d*mn thing for Obama and his cause.

Actually, most of the Clinton supporters want the country to run properly.
Obama has no chance of doing that. He is a patent LIAR who has no experience whatsoever.
He has no chance in the slightest of having a good presidency.

Guess what I have been told by far too many on these blogs
people who fought hard for Hillary...
that I have done a great service to Obama...
so I think the only mind who has themselves running around in...ir the yours and calling oBama a racist...
that is just plain laughable to 90% of dems and independents.
even most of the ones who hate rev. wright and are pissed at Obama becasue of that relationship ...don't think he is a racist.
You would have to be (drum roll) dumb...
oh and angry.
