Obama, Clinton Talk Strategy and Debt
June 23, 2008 6:32 PM
ABC News' George Stephanopoulos Reports: Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., spoke by phone Sunday night, the first time the presumptive Democratic nominee and his former rival have exhanged words since their private meeting in Washington weeks ago.
Clinton and Obama discussed retiring Clinton's over $10 million in campaign debt, a conversation Democratic sources called "constructive".
They also discussed their forthcoming joint fundraising appearance in Washington on Thursday and the first campaign appearance together in Unity, New Hampshire, on Friday.
Sen. Clinton conceded the Democratic race to Obama on Saturday, June 7, just four days after splitting the final two primary contests in South Dakota and Montana.
The pair held a secret meeting in Washington at the home of Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., a Clinton supporter, prior to Clinton's concession but had not spoken since that time.

GUYS and GIRLS: What we ought to be talking about is What McCain's advisor said...that another attack on us would secure McCain's win for the presidency.
This is why we Democrats must unite, because McCain only views us as pawns in his game to win the presidency! And if we die...he wins!

WE WILL ALL RUE THE DAY HILLARY SHIFTED FROM THE GOP TO THE DEMS IN 1970.
SHE'S ALWAYS LIKE AN OFF COURSE TORPEDO THAT TURNS BACK ON IT'S OWN SHIP.
SNAFU HILLARY

VOTE FOR A GOOD CAUSE!
It won't cost you a dime and will take only minutes of your time.
My nephew, Brian, underwent his first heart transplant at the age of 6 months in 1992. Good news is that he is now 16 years old and like most boys his age, he is a HUGE baseball fan (Yankees). Bad news is that he recently (6-19-08) had to undergo a second transplant surgery. So far, everything seems to be going well.
CAN YOU DO A GOOD DEED FOR BRIAN?
We've been asking if there is anything we can do for Brian. It seems like there's so little we CAN do, either for Brian or his family. The one thing we were told by his mom was that he has been hoping that John Damon is selected for the MLB All-Star Team (American League - NY Yankees - Outfield). Let's help him out!
Put a smile on this kid's face! Go to www.mlb.com and hit 'All-Star Game '08 coverage-VOTE NOW' in the upper right corner. In the window that appears, fill in your name, email, etc. and hit 'VOTE NOW'. You will see a roster of names listed by position for American League players. 'J. Damon' is in the Outfield section, 3rd down in the left column. Leave all other positions and National League blank if you choose. Make sure you hit 'Submit Vote' on the National Link page. You can vote up to 25 times, but all votes must be received by midnight 7-2-08.
Pass this on to your friends and THANK YOU!!!

I just really want to urge all Hillary supporters not to vote for McCain. This is why and please research this information just like I did. If MccAIN is elected this will tip the balance of the Supreme court. This is scary as we can not go back ot the hanger days. This mea that theres a huge chance that Wade v Roe will be overturn. We women have worked so hard to overcome all these issues and we can not and must not go back. McCain voted agaist equal pay for us women. Thats a disgrace!!! I am a women, a mother and beloved wife and I must secure the future for all women. I have a doughter and I dont want goverment to tell her what to do. I know that like me, I was really hurt when Hillary lost!!! I know now that I must support Barack like she is. WE need to work hard with passion, dedication to elect Barack Obama. We must not give McCain a passing greade. He has been against women issues even before Hillary started running. The republcians think we are so stupid that we can not make up our minds. I will work my heart out to support Barack. I started by talking to friends and relatives of ther impact of having McCain as president and what would that mean to us women. Please get involved cantact your local democrat office or go to Barackobama.com
Kind regards,
Martha

Most of her supporters have clearly stated that she can get on bended knee and plead with us to vote for him but we must vote for the lesser of two evils and that is John McCain
---------------------
Good point, except you're WRONG.
MOST of Hillary's supporters - polls show at least 70% thus far - have stated that they will vote for Obama. And that's right after the primary has ended.
Yes, there will still the militant, "I'll shoot myself in the head to prove a meaningless point", folks. But, and I hate to burst your bubble, you are not the majority.
The solidarity of 18 million all the 'puma crowd' keeps yapping about, is a fantasy. Most Dems would have been satisfied with either candidate.
So dress up in little puma costumes, kick, scream, and have a hissy fit if it makes you feel good. But the Dems are taking the White House back with or without you.

JANET, FINNALLY, I AGREE.
YOU ARE 100% RIGHT.
SO WHY IS SHE EVEN ASKING FOR THE MONEY SHE WASTED FROM THE CANDIDATE?
SHE SHOULD SUCK IT UP FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY. SHE CAN AFFORD IT AND WILL WRITE MUCH OF IT OFF ANYWAY.
THE PRIMARY CAMPAIGN IS PAST.
NOW ON TO A REFORM DEMOCRATIC WHITE HOUSE, SENATE, CONGRESS AND SUPREME COURT.
LET'S CLEAR THE CORRUPT OIL AND HALLIBURTON BUMS OUT.

I agree Martha. Just like you I was a huge Hillary supporter. I will now support Borack. I think is so impartant for women to move forward.
Posted by: Janice | Jun 23, 2008 8:22:01 PM
Nothing Obama can do will ever make me want to vote for him. He's flip flopped on more issues than McCain. He's thrown his pastor, grandmother, and friends under the bus for his political reasons. No way I can vote for someone who can't speak without being a puppet for other politicians behind the scenes. I was and still am a Hillary supporter who will vote McCain in November if I can't write her name in.

Martha, I've been screaming Supreme Court ever since Nixon ... and you know I've found out that it really doesn't matter. The justices that were appointed weren't put there to create Roe vs Wade ... many of them wise up in their old age.
Posted by: tiredtoo | Jun 23, 2008 8:27:48 PM
Yes. If a women vote for McCain they do not value women issues at its core. If they dont support Borack than theres is something deeper than just women issues. It wil be ashame for America if we vote for a candidate just base on what I hope its not the case. America is the example of the world and we should always lead with integrety and respect for others. How can we expect democracy in Iraq if we dont do whats right in our own American. Hello lets pactice what we so aften speack about justice for all. As a women I will never support McSane.

SOLD, for $10 millions for now; this deal does sound like a bribe. Is there any other hidden payouts ??????????

Too bad hillary. I have 80,000 in student loans, I need help to. I don't think you will be on skid row anytime soon. Get a life, get back to the Senate. Here is an idea, sell one of your Mansions! Hey people, that is how the rich keep their money, they jerk us around and want us to help them out. How about helping us out lady!
Posted by: Michael | Jun 23, 2008 8:30:08 PM
Amen. I will never support a man who vote agaist equal pay for women.
Posted by: Judith | Jun 23, 2008 8:30:45 PM
Michael, why would you take out $80,000 to go to school if not to have a good career and hopefully get rich?
Posted by: oh my | Jun 23, 2008 8:33:43 PM
Melisa, I have always voted for who I think would be best for our country. Forget parties, I vote on the person, their qualities, the issues, policies. I'm not being fooled by the scare tactics of the Democrats saying that McCain will overturn Roe vs. Wade. There's no way in the world that will happen. If I can't write in Hillary in November I will proudly cast my vote for John McCain. Hillary was my very first choice, since she's out I'll write in her name if I can or vote McCain since he was my second choice. Obama was not and will not ever get my vote. How can people vote for another Jimmy Carter president? Have we not learned from our mistakes? McCain is nothing like Bush and he has the record to prove it. God Bless America.

Martha and Janice. You are 100% correct. McCain voted agaist equal pay for women. Shamefull but true. Look at Cindy she looks like the steford wives. I heard she is not very nice. She recenly was cought putting down a flight attendant on her way back from vietnam. Mnay people who have interview her said she is very cold.

Please!! Hillary's votes and delegates were GIVEN to Obama! How dare anyone (DNC)do that to the clear choice in Florida and Michigan! Obama didn't even submit his name in Michigan and was given ALL of Hillary's delegates and ALL of the uncommitted ones! Obama sure didn't protest, being 'Mr. cutesy upright'!
Posted by: Helena | Jun 23, 2008 8:36:56 PM
All the CNN guys were laughing the Obama seal today. I think they all should apoligize for they'r unrespectfulnes, or they all should get fired. They may be just a bunch of racist idiots.
