ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., shed light Monday on the conversation he had with rival Hillary Clinton Sunday. He told her they can meet whenever she's ready.

Obama told reporters during a brief avail that when he spoke by phone with Clinton Sunday, he congratulated her on winning Puerto Rico and apologized for the controversial remarks made by Father Michael Pfleger while speaking at his former church.

"I emphasized to her what an extraordinary race that she's run and said that there aren't too many people who understand exactly how hard she's been working. I'm one of 'em because she and I have been on this same journey together, and told her that once the dust settled I was looking forward to meeting with her at a time and place of her choosing. We've still got two more contests to go and I'm sure that there will be further conversations after Tuesday," said Obama.

Asked if Clinton gave a specific indication as to where and when she might drop out of the nomination race, Obama said, "It was a very general conversation at this point and as I said we've got two more contests I think she's focused on those as am I."

On superdelegates, Obama predicted the remaining uncommitteds will be making their decision "fairly quickly" after the final primaries in South Dakota and Montana on Tuesday.

"We feel good about the number of supderdelegates that we have been accumulating and my sense is that between Tuesday and Wednesday that we've got a good chance of getting the number that we need to win the nomination."

The Obama avail came after a tour of a Rite Aide distribution center in Waterford, Michigan.

WE WILL REMEMBER !

How the Obama supporters so viciously attacked us while completely ignoring the issues. Those supporters are indicative of Obama himself.

I will never vote for such a hate filled and vile candidate who encourages such disrespect. Never.

Come on, the superdelegates can change their mind from now to the convention and their endorsement is only as good as it is at the convention.

The number now means nothing. Another goal post is moved ahead for the convenience of BO the gutter ball.

Another make-up rule from OBAMA.

Hillary / McCain; Nobama.

Obama got 4 delegates from Michigan where the people did not vote for him; You took the voting rights away from millions in Florida and Michigan; you've now lowered the number so OBAMA can meet it to be the nominee; what is the point of American's voting. You decide.

They both fought long and hard. America made a choice and I think they made the right choice!

I pray that Hilllary will use her voice to unite the party, Im sure she will!

Now onward towards victory in Nov.!!

The BOboy is so good at throwing out crumbs. He is a joke and a fake. May he choke up and cry when his hope and change bite him in the butt!
Never vote OBAMA. Never!
ANYONE BUT OBAMA! ANYONE!

At least Obama had the opportunity to personally apologize for the shots Father Pfleger took at Hillary.

However, I do think Pfleger had it mostly right; Hillary did and probably even now still does feel a sense of entitlement to the nomination.  But, I rather doubt that this feeling of being owed the nomination has anything to do with Obama being black.

Anne,

Im sure if Obama's name had been on the ballot than people would have voted for him and he would have landed up with MORE than just 4 delegates from MI!

Anne

Of course they did. Are you really surprised? Do you really think Hillary ever had a chance.

Obama’s Trinity Church has received at least $15 million in grants from the federal government — in other words, taxpayer money. How much money has your church received? Now of course, OBAMA had nothing to do with this either and knew nothing about it. There’s no way to know exactly how Trinity spent its millions in taxpayer money, since grant awards usually afford some latitude for discretionary use. We helped Wright tiny ministry to grow into a massive empire. Now remember that Rev. Wright just retired into a 10 million dollar home---

The audacity to be anti-American.

Radical left-wingers are happy today that Obama is closer to changing America into "an Obama nation" (abomination), but they will be accusing most American voters of being racists on November 5, 2008, the day after the General Election, when the American Electorate rejects Obama's attempt to become the first socialist president of the United States of America.

Sorry!, Louis Farrakahn, Michael Pfleger, and Jeremiah Wright.

Although Far Left Obama shares your radical left-wing values, most American voters do not!!!

Never Obama!

Country first, party second.

It is so funny how the Clinton supporters on here throw out innuendo or angry "Mccain will win" statements

that is how you know they don't represent most Hillary supporters.

whether you like Hillary or not... whether you like Barack or not... BaraCK HAS SPENT THIS CAMPAIGN FIGHTING TO STAY ABOVE THE FRINGE...
HE HAS

I volunteered for both campaigns...and Joe Bidens back last year during the run up for NH.

From day one the first message we heard and has continued down from the top was to not take the low road...it was not going to be that fight...

Hillary's campaign...not so much. Even though I have veered from that on occasion because you can only take so much made up bologne... but Barack's campaign has had that reinforced from he himself over and over...

To say otherwise is a flat out lie. It is...and anyone in the campaigns or outside but neutral can see that fairly clearly.

That is the truth. It was has hurt him much of the time but let me tell you those who support him and those slowly stepping over support him more and more because of it.

So go ahead and attack him on policy...attack him on experience... but don't attack him for being slimey or being underhanded in the way he has played this campaign...that he is not.
