Top Donors Debate Clinton's Future
June 02, 2008 8:06 PM
ABC News' Kate Snow Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton's top money people are staying by her side, but not without some coaxing.
On a conference call late this afternoon with about 30 top donors, senior advisor Harold Ickes conceded that the likelihood of Clinton securing the nomination was growing more remote. But he emphatically argued to donors that the end was not here yet and that they should continue to support the Senator until she says to do otherwise.
Ickes indicated that Obama would not have the delegates needed to claim victory by Tuesday night.
But in a rapid fire question and answer session, some Clinton financial supporters questioned whether it was time to back Senator Barack Obama.
"When the time comes, we should all go over together," one key Washington fundraiser said on the call, according to another participant. Two other donors then voiced their agreement that it was time to support Obama. "No one wants to be the last one on the ship," the call participant told ABC News.
But those three donors were shouted down by others on the call who argued that Clinton still needed their support.
One option that was discussed on the financial donors conference call was for Clinton to "suspend" her campaign, rather than drop out. That would allow her to hold onto her delegates, should circumstances warrant her entering the race again at some point in the future.
Many donors on the call were pushing for a suspension of the campaign.
According to the participant on the call, Ickes told donors that he will recommend to the Senator that she not appeal the decision over the weekend of the Democratic National Committee’s Rules and Bylaws Committee in seating delegates from Michigan and Florida.
Two participants who were on the call said they did not hear any discussion of the campaign's debt, despite reports to the contrary.
Clinton will spend much of Tuesday behind closed doors at her home in Chappaqua, New York.
She plans to meet with top donors following a public appearance in New York tomorrow night.

Barring someting happening. These people make me sick. They keep hoping something will happen to Obama. Maybe something will happen to Hillary. Maybe somebody should revisist some of their scandals.

And brianrickson65, what are you some kind of NUT? A preacher said so?
I can't believe that Clinton has such wacky supporters. I didn't know such cretins existed in the Democratic party.

Are you a retard? I think you are.. No REAL Hillary supporter would say something as stupid as that.. Nice try, however, at unification.. LOL

pity,
wow! you took the bitterness right out of my mouth! :-)
that is exactly how think hillary clinton or john mccain would do (although it has already been done by bush). obama is the only way up from the hole these "experienced" politicians have dug.

Superdelegates may give the nomination to Senator Obama, but voters will deny him the Presidency in November!
There is just too much more wrong with Senator Obama than there is right.

There sure are a lot of Republican trolls around, masquerading as HRC supporters. Only a genuine idiot would support Senator Clinton, and then vote for McBush, who opposes everything she believes in.
But then, there are some people out there with very small...er... brains. If they don't get everything they want, when they want it, they get all spiteful and venemous and do really idiotic things that are contrary to their own self-interest.
I would like Sen. Clinton to be the nominee, but if she isn't, I'll act like an adult and vote for the candidate whose platform is close to hers.
Trolls, half-wit bigots, and those with
more bitterness than rational capacity will do what they will do.

To The Superdelegates:
The black pro-self-rule and Third World Nationalists are running the Democratic Party they are acting that like they are in Zimbabwe not America. The Democratic Party over the weekend showed for the first time that Democracy has failed by the impact of stealing votes away from voters and awarding them to Obama. They decided the intent of the voters! And that’s okay. Everyone in the room should have just gotten up and walked out but they didn’t, maybe because most do not realize the impact of what just happened. A lady called Harriet Christian did speak up and she was appalled and was escorted from the room. She probably was the only real American left in the room. So you lower the bar on Tuesday, so that Obama can reach the nomination, you give him extra delegates and you tell the woman it’s time to call it a day even though she has received more votes throughout the country. And, you let this third world interest in our country take over without even looking into what is happening. McCain will win by a landslide because you’ve not only lost the 17 million voters but another group---those that love America.

No, it's Obama and his followers that think America owes them (think Michelle). Hillary believes she is the better candidate who can actually do some good and set the country on the right path. She's been there, done that, not much more to prove. Obama is an untried, unqualified and ignorant Chicago politician who played the race card to get where he is. He has no love for this country and has no core values.
How else can you explain his denouncing his Church/grandma, wearing a flagpin etc. when he made so much noise in the first place for staying in that Church and not wearing a flagpn - should have stood up for his principles. He is spineless.
If Obama gets to the White House, he will discard all those who put him there if it is politically expedient.

I have to say, that I find these comments about darkie/barbie etc offensive, we are all human. It is time for not just the US but the world to realise we are all different, it would be very boring if we weren't. Color/race/religion/political preference is not the crux here. What is best for the USA and the world...Comon USA the rest of the world looks up to you and this fighting is doing nothing. I see democratic voters saying if not Hillary then McCain, from the outside you are not democratic voters, you are taking the easy way out.

The Clinton campaign should take the DNC committee to court for fraud and breaking their own rules. Obama had removed his name froim the ballot and was no longer a candidate---no delegates allowed. In FL Obama campaigned for 10 days via TV ads which was against the rules and no penalty assessed. This has been the most dishonest campaign by the Democratic VIPs in 50 years. Count all the votes accurately. Besides there were at least 8 primaries where election fraud was suspected but no investigation by DNC since the wrongdoers were the Obama campaign.

Hillary don't quit now. Wait until the below comes to light and then see if the Dem big wigs, who buried their heads in the sand about Wright and Ayers, can avoid the truth about Obama and his radical friends, including his wife.

Michelle Obama Rants About "Whitey" as Farrakhan, Pfleger, & Wright Sing the Chorus
No Quarter Blog was the first to pop up with this interesting tidbit:
I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about “whitey” describe it as “STUNNING.” I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks.
Barack may have quit his church but his religious problems are not over. Barack Obama has a Nation of Islam problem that will receive more attention in the coming days. Before Barack came on the scene, THE MAN in his political district was Louis Farrakhan. No one could take Alice Palmer’s seat without Farrakhan’s blessing. No one. I do not fault Barack Obama for seeking out the blessing of Farrakhan, but the story of what was done behind the scenes to get rid of Barack’s predecessor—Alice Palmer—has not been told. A knowledgeable source tells me that Tony Rezko played a direct role in this feat. And Rezko has been tight with Farrakhan. It also should come as no surprise that Barack hired two members of the Nation of Islam to work on his staff—Jennifer Mason and Cynthia K. Miller.
In probing those matters we begin to understand that the Nation of Islam has been a critical component of Barack Obama’s base of support. And, I am told, Louis Farrakhan has been careful to use Tony Rezko as the intermediary in his relationship with Barack. This is not guilt by association, this is guilt because of actual relationship.
And Michelle Obama is guilty of being angry about a lot of things. If you don't think she could be capable of using the "W" word, watch this video documenting some of her intemperate malapropisms. (The soundtrack is kickin', too.)

Some of the nasty attitudes and remarks concerning Sen. Clinton are playing a big part in many Democratic voters changing their party affiliation to Independent and voting Republican in November. Obama doesn't seem to be bringing out the best in his supporters, so much for his positive message. He is just another Chicago politician afterall.

Hill/Obama don't care which, Join the rest of the world. You have got to be kidding, even the French think Obama is a pansy.
The French Are Tougher Than Barack Obama
Mon, Jun 2, 2008 at 9:49:47 am PDT
Barack Obama: more defeatist than the French.
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said on Sunday that the security situation in Iraq was improving and reaffirmed France’s willingness to help rebuild the war-ravaged country.
“I have the feeling that things are better. Statistics show a drop in security incidents,” Kouchner told AFP after a working lunch with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari on the last day of his two-day visit to Iraq.

In December when I started doing research on Senator Obama, I found plenty that made me think he was not honest. Now 6 months later, I have come across the total of over 3 million lies in his campaign and only 10 truths. So, I am not going to vote for the fraud who calls himself a god.
