Average Joe Has a 'Successful Dump'
August 20, 2008 1:35 PM
ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf reports from Wilmington, Del.: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., channeled the brush-clearing everyman ethos of the current President George W. Bush today as he awaited word on whether he would be selected as Sen. Barack Obama's running mate.
As he left his house for the second time today, he had a load of wood in the back of his pickup and told the assembled reporters, "Don't get hit (by the traffic), guys, I'm just going to the dump."
Upon his return from disposing of the logs, Biden pulled up in his pickup, saying he had nothing to report, but "I had a successful dump."
"I had a successful dump. I dropped everything at the dump. It all worked out and by the way I got a second load, guys, coming and if anyone wants to help me unload let me know, those stumps weigh about 150 pounds."
No one jumped at the opportunity from the press corps.
But he did enlist a family member. In the pickup with him was his nephew, who he did not name but said we would be seeing playing baseball.
He was asked about news that erstwhile Democrat, Sen. Joe Lieberman, Ind.-Conn., will be speaking at the Republican convention and said he did not know about it.
Asked to describe his recent trip to Georgia, Biden said he would love to, but would wait until "all of this is over."

Lol, you guys might be milking this maybe a wee bit too much?

This story is an unsuccessful dump.

Oh thank God. I don't know what I would have done if he didn't have a successful dump today. Biden has a sense of humor. You know he phrased it like that on purpose. He probably thought about it on the drive back home.

Biden takes a dump! How newsworthy!

Jake, while you're goofing off with this nonsense, CNN is floating JFK's daughter as Obama's VP.
They scooped you again!

The phony Nothingness is driving people crazy. That's why this is news worthy.
Are you sure, Paul, you still want to support a Nothingness?
There are still 70 days for you to change your mind, and most likely, you will.

Zero-bama's computer crashed and he is clueless to turning it on, so, the vp message has been delayed.

Leave Biden and Bayh alone guys....I'm sure they are loving the celebrity stalkarazzi treatment. Enough already..it's highlighting the Obama celebrity treatment train!

McCain in front is actually a good thing for Obama. McCain cannot handle it. Enjoy your few semi-positive news cycles, but the so called Maverick is going to lose; not by much, but he is going to lose. He is the worst campaigner that I have ever seen..
Posted by: billy smith | Aug 20, 2008 2:17:30 PM
Oh please pick Caroline Kennedy as VP. Then I know for certain that McCain will win in a landslide.
Yipeeee! The polls are showing Obama fading fast.
Life is good.

billy,
That "worst campaigner" you've ever seen is beating your guy.
Imagine what will happen if McCain gets his act together (in your estimation)...
This is fun.

Real men make a woodpile and burn the wood. Statesmen and real men don't stay in the US Senate for 35 years. What a phoney! Just like how he had to drop out of the prez race in 1988 for plagerizing his speeches from a Brittish labor leader. Biden needs to get back to Washington to pass a drilling bill, or get windmills built in New York City. Jesse Ventura for President!!

Yeah, this is a bit ridiculous. They actually published a story on a potential VP dumping his trash. Amazing.

Olberman3,
Are you calling Senator Obama a phony? I will tell you what is phony, setting up your Secretary of State to take a fall for an invasion that should have never happened. A phony is being the candidate that supports the phony invasion and trying to make it out as a bonafide war using phrases like, "retreat", "surrender", and "victory". How pathetic a nation the U.S. is to actually give men like these any believeability. Take fake you out right in front of your eyes and you still support them like you were watching a magic show. Unbelievable. Yet, in the industry states where jobs have been lost FOR GOOD, you whine about the government. Guess what? You voted them in and seriously contemplating doing it again! YOU have 70 days to get it right!

This is ridiculous. Talk about going overboard on the VP thing. The media is obsessed. Joe Biden takes a dump. Joe Biden brings us donuts. The media is in full frenzy!!

OK, ABC, you win for the tackiest headline of the month.

It's "mn3", not your peeing-in-his-pants station's talking head.
Guess what, I happen to agree with you completely. If you vote for this phony Zero-bama his Nothingness, you probably will get a worse problem than what you have already. Didn't this phony just ask Russia to sit down with Georgia to talk it over, when he heard of the invasion in his Hawaiian cool waters?
Have they talked it over yet?
Posted by: Olbermn3 | Aug 20, 2008 3:40:10 PM
CitizenAJ,
BTW, your phony Political Jesus was considering to choose that secretary of state as his vp, that that secretary of state is gonna cross his party lines to endorse a phony for a revenge!

Jo,
What do the polls show regarding people who only use cell phones? Let me give you a hint...zero! See these polls can only tell you so much because they're not polling people with cell phones. You know...all of those young people and many older who will vote for Obama. Also, wait for the debates. Mr. McGoo will be crushed. He'll actually be on the same stage with Obama and unlike Pastor Warren the moderators will not allow him to tell his bs POW stories. Although I do hope he tells that cross story. Maybe the MSM will then challenge him on the fact that it was plagiarized!
Still feeling confident?

Biden doesn't take (pardon this pun here - given the caption of the article) "crap" from anyone, including the press. I am glad he had a sarcastic remark for them. He's not afraid to sound off on someone when they annoy him and that's good as far as I am concerned. He's a perfect counterbalance to Obama who is just too gentile, he needs to get tougher towards McCain, I believe. Americans like a fighter, obviuosly, so Obama had better bring it on. I am sure he can do it, he just needs to take off his gloves and go after McCain. But if he doesn't, Biden will, that's for sure. He's a great choice for V.P., though I would have liked to see him as Secretary of State.
