Hey Obama, Where's The Text?

August 22, 2008 9:35 PM

ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: As speculation swirls about his vice presidential pick, Sen. Barack Obama enjoyed dinner with the family including his wife, Michelle, and two daughters.

"Where's the text?" reporters shouted while holding out cell phones to get the presumptive Democratic nominee's attention as he walked into Roy's in downtown Chicago.

At first, Obama, D-Ill., acknowledge the press but after some louder shouts, he relented and looked over with a laugh.  As he left, the intrepid band of reporters following Obama's every move tried again.

"How's Obama-Biden sound?" reporters yelled.  "See ya guys!" Obama replied.

The candidate has since returned to the Park Hyatt hotel in Chicago where aides advise he will burn the midnight oil, preparing for his nomination acceptance speech next week at the Democratic National Convention.

Obama hoodwinked people into giving him their address and phone number so he can build a larger database.
It is 10 pm EST and no text message!!
People could've just wait until a little bit longer until tomorrow morning to see who will be the VP in Springfield, IL.

WHAT A SHAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama's time is just about up. People are getting sick of the fawning, the flip-flopping, the emptiness. He who climbs highest, the furthest his fall. And I can't wait to watch.

I don't think anyone was promised a specific time for the announcement; only that they would know before the general public.... that cound mean ten seconds before the public announcement if one really wanted to be picky. Don't know what it would take to satisfy some folk.

The democrats are making fun of Mccain's response to the question of how many houses mccain has, well we all know how many homes Obama has, One that cost 1.6 million and was financed with money from a felon. They got some nerve.

with this excitement if it is not Hillary Clinton or Chuck Hagel it will be a total flop. It will prove that all empty suit wants is attention.

Wake up America

This is like high school all over again, as for Joe Biden well how long has he been in the Senate? sounds like the change team wants a good olde boy on the ticket.

Same olde politics same olde bullshit

This is good, clean fun compared to watching McCain's evil-tempered ads complete with Paris and Britney -- Makes you realize how many good people the Dems have for an administration.

I suspect Obama was planning to send the messages a day or two ago, but he'd be a fool to step on the story of McCain's not remembering how many houses he has. I like someone who can shift strategy to take advantage of the unexpected.

Speaking of the change candiate it looks like not only will Ted Kennedy not leave the seante after 46 years but add that he won't leave it even though he has terminal brain cancer and a democratic governor who would pick a democrat if he stepped down. Ted Kennedy supports the candiate of change SAme olde politics same olde hyprcrocy.

Obama should tell Mccain to keep it simple don't buy five houses just one that costs 1.6 million.

The Obama Circus continues. Are people really this gullible..waiting for a text or email.

This is such a horse's a** way to announce your choice for Vice President.

This is the biggest Liberal scam to get suckers who have cell phones and emails so they can build a database.

What a joke Obama is and i hope he picks Biden.

This text message gimmick is a failed attempt by the Obama campaign to put some excitement into a campaign that has gone flat. Except that what the obama people don't seem to realize is that No Hillary No excitement.

Change change change my axx!

Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Howard "big mouth" Dean, Nancy "ugly face" Pelosi will all be remembered to have destroyed the Democratic Party in 2008.

Posted by: Rob | Aug 22, 2008 10:28:45 PM

I use to enjoy Obama's speeches but now i'm tired of the same non-stop talk about non-stop change, this campaign is getting boring, will some intern give Mccain or Obama a BJ.

Posted by: al | Aug 22, 2008 10:29:46 PM

Usually pre convention polls always put the democart caniiate ahead by alot of points but this one has them tied.

Obama people remember one thing:

NO HILLARY NO VOTE.

Posted by: al | Aug 22, 2008 10:34:06 PM

Obama and his moronic campaign is showing people why McCain is the lesser of the two evils.

If Hillary was running for President McCain would be worried.

Obama cluelessness and inexperience will ensure McCain a victory in November.

The Democratic Party and their liberal following will implode in 2008..due to the clown like circus of The Obama Campaign.
