McCain Endorsed by Latin Star Daddy Yankee
August 25, 2008 12:47 PM
ABC News' Bret Hovell Reports: While making an appearance on Monday at the high school alma mater of his wife Cindy, John McCain received the endorsement of Reggaeton star Daddy Yankee.
Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Ramon Ayala, is a Latin Grammy winner. He is known mostly for his song "Gasolina," which, according to several translations of the Spanish lyrics and interpretations of the Spanish slang, is not particularly family-friendly, and has absolutely nothing to do with energy independence.
As excited as the roughly 100 high school students were to see the 71-year-old presumptive Republican nominee, when Ayala walked into the room, most the young women in the room started shrieking. Ayala gave hugs and shook hands before making the endorsement official.
"I'm here endorsing Senator McCain because I believe in his ideals and his proposals to lead this nation, you know?" Daddy Yankee said at Phoenix's Central High School.
McCain met with Daddy Yankee at his campaign headquarters on Aug. 2. At that time, Daddy Yankee said he didn't know whether or not he was going to endorse McCain, but he has since come to a conclusion.
The event at the high school was originally billed as a press conference by the campaign. In fact there was no give and take between the media and either McCain or Daddy Yankee. McCain has not spoken with reporters since Aug. 13.
UPDATE: Daddy Yankee, however, did say hi to reporters on board McCain’s press plane soon after the event. He said that he met McCain two years ago after each was named one of Time Magazine’s most influential people “on earth.”
“I was glad to meet him two years ago and since then we’ve been very cool,” Ayala said.
He was asked if he thought McCain listened to his music, and said that he believed McCain’s daughter Meghan did.
Ayala was also asked what his song “Gasolina” was about. With a smile and a laugh, he was right on message.
“It’s about energy independence,” Ayala said.

So, Daddy Yankee supports McCain because of his stance on immigration? LOL…the Reggaeton artist is Puerto Rican, so he doesn’t have to worry about being deported, now does he??? If you want to know why the young INTELLIGENT Latinos support Obama then read this Open Letter of Support for Obama from scores of high profile Hispanics:

Daddy Yankee or DaddyPuta? Quien Es?
Daddy Yankee? Gimme a break. John McCain is a total hypocrite. He demeans Obama for his being embraced by literally the entire creative community in America: Artists, Writers, Actors, Musicians. From Hollywood to Broadway it is hard to find anyone willing to admit that they support the Weekend at Bernie's Candidate, John McCain. Truth is all American musicians thats peak to middle class angst and pain (Springsteen, Mellencamp, Jackson Browne et. al etc) are not are not willing to have their brand sullied by any kind of affiliation or alliance with the McCain Campaign. In several cases they have asked McCain to stop playing their songs. So much so that , Mr. All American, can only point to a Swedish Pop Band and Dancing Queen as his favorite music. ABBA is ok. I own some CD's But, I find it hard to believe that a guy who's teeth are a little too yellow from knocking back a bit too much scotch hangs out in Sedona listening to Dancing Queen with his wife, unless he is having special visits with Bush Pal, Male Escort Jeff Gannon. Call me cynical, but I just don't buy it.
So, leave it to the McCain Campaign to find an ignorant rapper to pose along side McCain because he thinks McCain will be good on the Immigration issue---i.e., McCain will allow all of his friends to swim in to America. Yeah, you can tell these Neocon's really love minorities as they try to darken up Obama and paint him as the dangerous black man while the conveniently find another "darkie" latino to support them. Yeah these people really love minorities, compliant ones at least. Seems to me McCain is following Hillary and Rove's playbook. Peel off a few ignorant whites and digruntled old deadenders from the Clinton campaign and then get another puta to endorse your candidacy. For DaddyYankee not to see through his being used makes him simply a PUTA.

Too bad the liberal TIME magazine has BO's mug on it again for the NINTH TIME, McCain has only made 2 covers. Do the liberal media really think they can shove Bozo down our throats with all the celebrity hype? It's such a turn off...we don't want Denzil Washington to be our 44th President!
McCAIN.....ROCK THE LATINO VOTE, you know you won't get the rapper vote....98% of blacks on day one, made up their minds after Iowa. Doesn't matter what bozo has or will ever say...they are with him....just like O.J. was innocent.

Daddy Yankee or DaddyPuta? Quien Es?
The truth is that Daddy Yankee is that he is THUG PUNK marketing MISOGYNY. He happens to be good at marketing and sucking up to power is all he is doing. His alliance with McCain is plain and simple likely about promises made to him from high on up in the Neocon Hierarchy.

Boy o boy what great news a singer no one knows endorses John McCain in front of about 100 High School kids.
The picture of him looks like he has axle greese on his hair. I am sure this will push McNobrain over the top and secure the election.

This morning the Republicans were singing there old "Shut up and sing" refrain to Madonna when she showed images insulting to McCain, now they praise another entertainer who supports him. Apparently their idea of freedom of speech is for Republican benefit only. Why am I not surprised?

Since all of these racist up here want to keep calling Barrack by his middle name let me say this. Sidney McCain is a hypocrite and Ludacris is so far from a gangsta rapper it is hilarious. However it is the first thing that anal, out of touch, dusty old men use when someone says "damn" in a song.
