ABC News' Eloise Harper reports: Reporters covering the McCain Campaign today received credentials titled "McCain National Pool, Las Vegas, Nevada." Ht_mccain2_080809_main

The credentials include an image from the 1997 movie "Vegas Vacation," showing the actor Chevy Chase splayed across a roulette table, flush with cash.

While Sen. Barack Obama is on a Hawaiian vacation, McCain will address veterans in Las Vegas today and his campaign has made a point to highlight his opponent's departure from the trail.

Earlier today, McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds quipped that Sen. Obama was not only on vacation from the campaign but also on vacation in regards to his voting record about Yucca Mountain, the potential storage site for nuclear waste in Nevada.

“Apparently Barack Obama  is also taking a vacation from the facts, ignoring his own votes in support of the Yucca Mountain project," Bounds wrote in a press statement.  This was a response to an ad Sen. Obama had released regarding Sen. McCain's voting record.

re: "Any Clinton supporter that refuses to support Obama should be proud of playing their role in continuing our nation's downfall..." Posted by: Gary | Aug 9, 2008 4:37:53 PM

Quite a bit of fear-mongering there, Gary. I thought your candidate was all about HOPE.

Well, my HOPE is that the DNC will listen to my voice now, before I vote against them in November.

When is the last time you remember one candidate getting the most votes in the primaries and another candidate being hand-picked by the party to be the nominee?

The DNC is stupid. You are in puppy love with The One. Your attempts to make PUMAs feel guilty are laughable. And, yes, vengance IS sweet.

If Obama loses in November, blame the DNC, not PUMAS. The DNC has a very easy way of getting our support -- listening to our 18 million voices.

A note to "Democrat".....Thank You for posting an intelligent entry on this site.
I attempt to be Politically Correct, yet I picture the Obama detractors as being obese redneck trailer-trash, frustrated in their desire to halt the inevitable Obama victory.

becky, why would you vote against Obama when Hillary doesn't meet your qualifications either? Did I miss her tour in Iraq? Her win for the Governor's seat in...? Her extensive Senate tenure? If she can get over herself to endorse Obama then you should too.

McCain needs to stop attacking Obama on stupid issues, same OLD politics. He's really not convincing anybody that Obama's a poor candidate. Stick to what you think you can do for our country and convince us you're ready to lead this nation.

Everytime McCain opens his mouth, it makes me cringe. Maybe I would trust McCain if he was not so negative. My mother always told me, if you cannot say anything nice, do not say anything at all. And all those negative ads about Obama do not impress me at all. Reminds me of an old washer woman.
