Obama Texts Biden Pick to Supporters
August 23, 2008 3:25 AM
ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: Sen. Barack Obama has sent his vice presidential text message; were you awake to read it?
At 3:04am ET and just after midnight on the west coast, the Obama campaign sent the following message to anyone who signed up to find out who the presumptive Democratic nominee had picked:
"Barack has chosen Senator Joe Biden to be our VP nominee. Watch the first Obama-Biden rally live at 3pm ET on www.barackobama.com Spread the word!"
Alas, despite their best efforts to deliver the message directly to supporters, word leaked out throughout the night, with a number of media outlets reporting the Biden pick hours before the text alert.
Nonetheless, the Obama did likely gain thousands of emails and cell phone digits through the experiment. So it's probably a safe bet that if signed up to receive the alert that O will c u later.

Obama you are too smart eh! If one sees things are not working as they are supposed to be, you just apply "THE SURGE"!
Biden will play a very big role on your part!
You deserve my donation and I will make it.

Joe "I'm Not the Guy" Biden? What was all that about? He knew he was The Guy. Why the lie?

If McCain is smart, he will come out with an ad wooing the Hillary supporters Monday.
McCain 08'/Hillary 12'

Davis -- LOL, you're the fool here! It was barely announced and CNN already has a whole series of classic Biden snippets criticizing Obama. You can trust that we will be served an endless reel of these beautiful one-liners.
Do you really think he is going to convince Americans when he back pedals on all of that? It's just too good, too classic, the GOP 's could not have scripted it better. Both jokers will be dragged down the sewer when Obama is proven to be a fraud.

Why are people so upset that the call was made at 3 AM? Couldn't you turn your silly cell phone off at night so you wouldn't be awakened? Why did you sign up to get the message if you didn't want to get it whenever it was sent out? You could have, like the wiser ones of us, waited to hear it on Good Morning America or read it right here on ABC at a more civilized hour of the day! How about we stop with the juvenile type name calling and rumors and lies and start being specific about what policies Obama and McCain have that we don't like or do like - you know, pretend we're grown ups for a change. If you're voting for McCain because Hillary didn't win the nomination, then you're probably against Obama because he's male or because he's black. Either way, your prejudice is showing. Tuck it in or suck it up.

Obama is a clueless nitwit he had to wait until 3 am and then he picks a guy who cheats on his law exam and uses someone else's speech as his running mate.
I dont care if McCain picks Lieberman, Romney or Ridge.
The Democrats have the worst team since George McGovern in 1972.
And you know why they picked 3 am to make the announcement Because of that 3 am ad ran several months ago.

To all you Hillary supporters who are now voting for McCain. Please just go ahead. The rest of us know that you care only about yourselves, not about the American people who are hurting now. You don't care if I get health insurance, a job, a roof over my head, or if my child goes to college. You may have called yourself a Democrat before, but now you fit the mold of a classic Republican. Those of us who care about fixing the problems in this country are happy to see you go.

The Billary supporters like Debra and others are HYPOCRITES! In such a snit that Herself, "The Anointed One" lost that they are willing to completely abandon what HRC fought for. HRC has endorsed and campaigned for Obama. Get the message! HRC and Obama match up issue for issue, but none of that matters now to you HRC supporters? What about the issues she worked so hard and fought for? You are so worked up that she lost you are willing to throw all that under the bus and vote for McCain? Guess we know how committed you are to the issues! HYPOCRITES one and all. You don't give a damn about the positions HRC took all during the campaign.

Yea this is the spineless team that was probably organized before the primaries started to prevent Hillary from getting the nomination they dont care if they dont win! Neither did Dukakkis/bentsen, Gore/Lieberman, or Kerry/Edwards... all elitists that shouldnt drag the democratic party down... Obama was going to pick Edwards till all the stuff came out about him... seems as if democracy has crash landed in 2008!

I have to agree with Amy, who points out Obama and his minions couldn't even properly organize the VP announcement. We're supposed to trust this Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight with our government, and our lives? I'm not thinking that's such a great idea.

Hillary and Obama dont match up issue for issue that is why he didnt pick her because she would make him look stupid and disingenous... please all you elitist professors or whatever you are line up and leave the country because you will have to when Obama loses!

the whole thing is they are running scared now and will now be under full assault and revolt from the traditional wings of the Democratic party.. I hate to see it like this but I predicted it in the spring! Maybe Obama can be president of Obamanation but not the United States of America!
Posted by: Staniam | Aug 23, 2008 6:35:53 AM
Obama is a fraud. His slogan should be Same Stuff, same insiders nothing will change.

there is truth to the fact that the republicans say that they have won the majority of the last presidential elections because they hav and the reason is we put up these candidates that are left of center when the center is the only place you can govern!
Posted by: Staniam | Aug 23, 2008 6:42:17 AM
One of the biggest problems in this country is that we give really stupid people the right to vote. It's not the republican McCain supporters i'm talking about - it's the so-called democrat Hillary supporters who are voting for McCain. No brains at all. When you think of what McCain stands for and the direction he will take this country if he's elected, you people are really, really stupid. It's not easy to undo the damage a McCain would do as president. It's not four years and out. You can't bring back the lives of all the kids killed in the wars he'll keep going and all the wars he'll start. A woman's right to choose, health insurance, the economy, all down the drain. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Counting crows I agree they are stupid for voting McCain but they are also feeling pretty disrespected. Alot of younger voters who did not see all of what Bill Clinton did for this country when he beat Bush disaster #1, seriously disrespect Bill's work and Hillary's as well. You just don't see the whole picture, you think you do but you don't. The Clintons are great Democrats. Yes voting for McCain however is very stupid as well, I will agree with you there. The Obama supporters claiming to be loyal Democrats attacking Hillary the way they do though need to realize they are rude and disrespectful and that they are the ones who caused her supporters to defect. Treat them with respect or people will go against anything and anyone you present, that is how crazy loyal Hillary supporters are to bother her and Bill. Dumb to vote for McCain, but you need to look at why and see there obviously is a serious loyalty to the Clintons for SOME reason. Read your history, Bill was awesome, still is, and so is Hillary. If you want to get her supporters on board, treat them with respect and stop your bashing.

As long as Barack feels good. Wire tapping, more faith based programs Obama is bush! Hillary don't campaign one more state for Obama after the convention, knock your speech out of the park then let Obama's chips fall where they may.
