Obamagirl Has Obama in Range in Denver

ABC News' Nitya Venkataraman reports: On the ground in Denver, "Obamagirl" is keeping her fingers crossed that one day soon she'll cross paths with the Illinois senator on whom she famously crushed.

"I haven't really been plotting it," Internet sensation Amber Lee Ettinger says of any future meeting.

"I know 100 percent how busy he is and I don't expect to meet him this week or anytime soon."

And she's got respect for the missus. "I would love one day to meet him and Michelle, so I'll keep my fingers crossed," she says.

Fresh off a new video where Obamagirl travels back in time to advise a young "Barry" Obama on what life has in store for him, on assignment in Denver for Buzzwire's "DNC 2008" mobile channel, Ettinger stopped in at the new media Big Tent to visit with the bloggers who helped launch her to stardom last year as the lovestruck Obamagirl, pining away for the Democratic presidential nominee in her YouTube video, "I've Got a Crush on Obama."

Ettinger, who famously sang in her third video to Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., "I know Obama's gonna win it/but you're sorta kind of stayin' in it," offered praise to the New York senator tonight but stopped short of calling her a fellow Obamagirl.

Ettinger watched Clinton's Tuesday night speech at the Democratic Convention in "bits and pieces."

"She's great," Ettinger said of her crush's primary season rival. "I have total respect for her. It's always exciting to hear her talk."

After the conventions wind down, Ettinger is also headed into her own homestretch. Between the party circuit, television appearances, and the stream of fans approaching her for photographs and autographs, Ettinger has future Obamagirl videos to stand by her man, straight until the general election.

terrible news for Obama this morning. The GNP grew at a huge rate. There is no recession.

geevill - if you believe the crap you're toting about the GNP, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn that's a huge deal.

My community and I are very disappointed in any endorsement for Obama.
The press has destroyed the Clintons and now I feel like the superdelegates are listening.

The only station that finally was able to display Obama's qualities and issues was ABC’s debate when Obama was finally being vetted.

Obama is very radical, has a pastor full of hatred for America. This was his mentor. Reverend Wright, Obama's mentor of twenty years has embarrassed our first lady and white America.

Obama has ties wth Tony Rezko of Chicago and William Ayers, a terrorist.

Obama has an elitist attitude towards most of America. He has a cocky attitude from his own dislike for his grudges against American politics:
an anger problems.
Show me your friends and I will show you who you are:
Tony Rezko, a criminal from Chicago that Obama has know for years.
William Ayers, a terrorist that he worked on a board with in Chicago.
Pastor Wright, a supporter of anti-Semetic, Louis Farrakhan.
Al Sharpton, fighting for the states of Florida not to seat delegates.
Michelle Obama not being proud of her country until now.

This man will never survive against a war hero, John McCain.

I am saddened that the children and the media are controlling this electiion.

Obama girl was a disgrace for all of Americans.
The world is laughing at our procedures in hiring our President.
To place her backside in a presidential ad is a complete disgrace.

Wake up, the world is watching.

Dem in Chicago: "Thank-you Obama Girl (for nothin'), your services are no longer wanted. I suggest everyone just stop paying attention to her. (I know it's hard; she's pretty freakin' cute, but she doesn't help our candidate one bit...)"

Well, come on. She doesn't hurt, either.

Sure, McCain will say something... but that's what McCain does. He obsesses over Obama and criticizes anything. If Obama puts on the left shoe first, he should have put on the right. And I think most independents recognize that.

So that said, I wouldn't mind seeing more of Obama girl (double entendre intended ;)

Michelle is jelous of Obama girl.
Michelle is jelous of the Clintons.
Now because of her jelousy the Democrats will lose this election.

Obama girl was a disgrace for all of Americans.
The world is laughing at our procedures in hiring our President.
To place her backside in a presidential ad is a complete disgrace.

Wake up, the world is watching.

Yes Obama supporters continue to attack America. Doom and gloom is all we hear out of Denver. Sorry we are not in an economic depression like you all hope.

Obama's thugs had an ABC producer arrested for filming on public property. guess they should of paid attention when Beau Biden had Larry falsely arrested too.

Posted by: geevill | Aug 28, 2008 9:04:42 AM

Democratnomore - are you saying Obama was actually raised by the head of the communist party? That was hard to follow, but nevermind... don't want to hear it.

Now, when you start talking about how Obama was photographed on the grassy knoll, and all copies of those photos are buried at the bottom of the top secret stuff the Warren Commission doesn't want us to see... I'm with ya.

Michelle has convinced her husband not to select Hillary or endorse the Obama girl because she is jelous.

With Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama could've made history - but chose not to do so.

He hogged history. So her speech will likely produce no gain for him, but lay the basis for a lasting resentment at his failure to select her.

Obama is tied with McCain because he can't win the votes of women, especially older women.

Hillary's speech the other night made Obama's chance of winning a lot harder.

geevil: "Doom and gloom is all we hear out of Denver."

Hmmm. I guess only a Republican could hear the word "hope" and start thinking of doom and gloom connotations.

Kind of makes me wonder what you guys think about when you hear the word "puppy." I'm guessing... oh I don't know, bomb Tehran?

Geevil: "guess they should of paid attention when Beau Biden had Larry falsely arrested too."

That reminds me, I was pretty impressed with Beau Biden last night. I'm guessing we're going to see more of him in the future.

Posted by: Paul | Aug 28, 2008 9:15:22 AM

Me, not thinking it through the first time: "Kind of makes me wonder what you guys think about when you hear the word 'puppy.' I'm guessing... oh I don't know, bomb Tehran?"

That wasn't fair. Republicans first are businessmen and only second do they long for columns of armor advancing in the sunlight. War isn't a passion as much as a hobby.

So when a Republican looks at a cute lil' puppy, I'm sure his first thoughts are, "you know, in a few million years, that dog might just be oil."

The Clintons have indeed Redeemed themselves and have united the Democratic party. However, Media wants you to think that Dems Convention was a bust (no red meat - vegatables are so much more healthier to the system, however) But, what the Dems did accomplish and which is stronger than all the red meat/anger in the world is UNITY/Love, because a house divided cannot stand! Watch out and be on Guard for those who want to Divide because make no mistake about it a united group is Powerful, Strong, Unstoppable. Now they want to belittle and divide us by unmeaningful talks of pillars and temple. They are like rude children who make fun of people's clothes or the way they look. People of Change, People of the future, be on guard!

For accurate news analysis “watch C-SPAN for convention coverage and get yourself psychically cleared. Stop watching cable news channels. The MSM is desperately working to program us morning noon and night. And creating despair amongst those who are openly hopeful about 2008 politics is very easy. Just bust the bubble that gives you room to believe that change can happen and the rest falls away. Including your own sense of self-empowerment. Believe it.”

The Clintons set up Hillary for 2012. Now they will leave and let Obama and Uncle Joe lose big time.

Posted by: geevill | Aug 28, 2008 9:48:52 AM

Fox News is reporting that Bill Clinton is telling people off-record in Denver that Obama is a "Chicago thug." Hannity betting Clintons will do all they can behind the scenes to make sure Obama loses, already planning Hillary's run in 2012. Biden and Obama can't stand each other, Obama was forced to take Biden to shore up natl affairs experience. Jamie Allman, 97.1 in St. Louis, reporting that tension on floor reached fever pitch yesterday. Some Hillary supporters threatening to walk off floor, Obama supporters pleading with them to stay. Jimmy Carter's nerves frazzled, screamed at Rosalyn in the elevator. Harry Reid turning his back on Fox Reporters, won't answer questions about surge in Iraq, claims Dems are a united Party. Some Hillary supporters laughing at the temple, referring to Obama as a Greek God. Obama supporters grumbling about "racist" Hillary supporters. Yep, this is a real united Party.

Wow, Loving American Politics, and yet they managed to look completely different for the cameras. Not sure I'm buying all that.

By the way, the Greek god thing... y'all do know this is an almost exact replica of the backdrop used at the Republican convention four years ago, right?

Posted by: Paul | Aug 28, 2008 10:31:40 AM

Although I do have to admit the Greek columns aren't the way I would have gone in a stadium. I'm not sure I would have done any backdrop at all. Just keep the cameras low, and allow the stands to be the blurry backdrop from any angle.

Posted by: Paul | Aug 28, 2008 10:34:27 AM

The Old Illinois Statehouse built well before the Civil War where Obama and Biden came together also has Greek Columns as a quick look at the pictures from Saturday's event will show. This is another Republican smoke screen to divert people from the real issues.

Obama's thugs are trying to silence Stanley Kurtz on WGN.

Posted by: geevill | Aug 28, 2008 10:47:58 AM

Geevill: "Obama's thugs are trying to silence Stanley Kurtz on WGN."

Kind of like when McCain tried to fight Strom Thurmond for interrupting him. The thing is, Thurmond was 95-years-old at the time.

You're candidate actually had to be physically pulled away from a 95-year-old. Let that sink in for a moment.

Do Democrats need to question McCain's judgment. You bet, especially when McCain is seething mad. And reportedly it doesn't take much to make him mad.

Again, all this 95-year-old did was interrupt McCain's floor speech with a question. Was Thurmond right to interrupt? No. Did it warrant McCain catching him in a Capitol hallway, yelling at him, and then physically scuffling with him.

Not only know, but its a little scary you guys want someone like this in an executive position.
