So far as hunting is concerned? Some folks don't like people who hunt animals for sport, but can empathize with those hunters who are hunting for food. Let's get real, though, the cost of getting to places to hunt in Alaska by plane or helicopter is far greater than the value of the meat or fish caught.

Palin lives in a culture where hunting is quite acceptable, and is not even questioned. That is the provincial problem she faces. If you grow up in an African village, your world-view is limited. If you grow up in Alaska, your world-view is, equivalently, limited.
