Live From New York, It's Sarah (Tiny Fey) Palin!

ABC News' David Wright and Alyssa Litoff Report: As comedienne Tina Fey debuted her impression of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, the governor and her staff were watching from 30,000 feet.

Palin was on board her campaign jet flying from Reno to Denver as 11:30 PM Eastern rolled around. But the show was available on the Jetblue charter's satellite TV system.

Standing alongside SNL cast member Amy Poehler who was impersonating Hillary Clinton, Fey's Palin extolled her foreign policy expertise in a flat midwestern accent: "I can see Russia from my house!"

There were howls of laughter from the sizeable press corps covering Palin's first foray on the campaign trail without her running man as a chaperone.

But, from the front of the plane, silence. The flight attendants assured us Palin and her entourage were watching. What she thought, though, is anybody's guess.

Palin has yet to say so much as hello to the press corps.

The campaign is doing its best to keep Palin well away from inquisitive reporters, going so far as to book the press corps into a separate hotel from the candidate.

Hey Obama followers-

Keep up the sexist name calling. Please! Keep doing it. It really shows the kind of people you are. Every nasty comment made you people pushes women over to McCain/Palin's side. You're digging your own grave, dumbasses.

Patrick...there appears to be plenty of name calling on both sides including from you. If you want to stop it you might start with yourself.

RC,

How old are "U"? Nice slogans. They really set you apart from your ridiculous counterparts. Keep blogging!

Shay--

If Obama wasn't referring to the woman as a PIG than what was he referring to?

It is the way everyone perceives his comment. He was backed into a corner and the media let him go again.

What does this article have to do with Obama?

Seriously guys.

I know you guys get paid to monitor news articles and try to spin reality with ludicrous posts about Obama, but give it a rest. Sarah Palin is a train wreck, and every Republican operative on every laptop in the country isn't going to change that.

If people want to vote for the Republican Party to lead us out of the collapse of all our financial institutions when they've been in office for eight years, be my guest.

And ladies, you finally have the opportunity to vote for a woman and end your reproductive rights! Woo-Hoo!

It becomes involved with Obama when bloggers post comments pro-Obama. People don't know what the heck Obama is for yet they plan on voting for the person least like Bush.

Obama wants to give Illegals the right to vote....(www.barackobama.com)

michael..if you use your logic then McCain called Hillary Clinton a pig during the primary. Is that what you're saying?

Posted by: Mary | Sep 14, 2008 9:40:10 AM

Why do I have this funny feeling that disillusioned2008 and Patrick are the same person?

Posted by: El_Pajaro | Sep 14, 2008 9:40:17 AM

He probably did... Yet the media is comparing Obama to a savior. Do you know his policies Mary OR are you just a blind follower?

Posted by: michael | Sep 14, 2008 9:41:46 AM

michael...you're wrong about Obama and illegals voting. In fact, he and McCain had the same exact stand on immigration reform until McCain flipflopped and sold his soul to the devil.

Posted by: Mary | Sep 14, 2008 9:42:11 AM

She lies with such an ease, it's unbelievable, and when she gets caught she continue to stand by the lies.
She must think everybody is stupid or she is incredibly dumb.

Not very much class on a lot of these posts. Even McCain, who was going to run a clean campaign, has sunk to the gutter with disgusting, deceitful ads. I used to like the guy. It's also very funny how we have all these newly converted feminists and Hillary sympathizers who have suddenly found a distaste for sexist remarks. Give it up, people. Hillary supporters know what she stands for and know what Palin stands for. Finally, ask yourself one thing: if McCain was really "Country First," why did he pick someone so clearly unqualified to possibly be the leader of the USA?

Posted by: Phil | Sep 14, 2008 9:43:14 AM

No his own website says it....

he wants to 'eliminate any discrimatory barriers to voting."
Either 1) Illegals 2) Felons 3) Minors

Posted by: michael | Sep 14, 2008 9:43:45 AM

The "train wreck" is Obama's campaign. He really blew it when he reversed on wire tapping, public money for campaigns, and not picking Hillary. But picking, instead, a memeber of the Washington insiders ol' boy group (the very group he had been saying has ruined the country.)

The "lipstick on a pig" comment would have been just another phrase, as it always has been, IF Sarah Palin hadn't JUST used it in her speech. It was obvious what he was doing, and he thought he would get away with it because it wasn't totally blatant, but no one missed the point he made.

michael...I don't hear anyone comparing Obama to a savior except Fox News and some of the diehard McCain supporters. And yes, I'm very familiar with how Obama stands on the issues.

Posted by: Mary | Sep 14, 2008 9:44:59 AM

Are your okay with his stance on the issues?

Posted by: michael | Sep 14, 2008 9:45:39 AM

RAG HEAD---I be damm to have idiots like you to have mine internet IP address. Sound like you on the rag!

Um, could you correct the headline to read "TINA Fey"?
Otherwise, great anecdote.
