North Korean Leader Suffered Stroke?
September 09, 2008 11:24 AM
ABC News' Jonathan Karl reports: US intelligence believes North Korea's dictator Kim Jong II may be seriously ill.
"There are good reasons to believe that Kim Jong Il has suffered a health setback. It could even be a stroke," a senior US official told ABC News.
"There is reason to believe it was serious," the official adds. What are those reasons? US officials won't say. But for several days there have been reports -- both in the South Korean press and in secret US intelligence channels -- that suggest the North Korean leader is ill.
Adding weight to those reports, today Kim failed to appear at the parade marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of North Korea. In previous anniversaries of North Korea's founding, Kim attended elaborate parades in which lines of soldiers saluted him, and rocket launchers and armored vehicles rumbled through Pyongyang.
"This is a major parade, something that he has been at virtually every year since he was born," a U.S. defense official tells ABC News Kim, who holds absolute power over North Korea, has not been seen in public for a month.
However US officials caution that as with everything about North Korea notoriously secretive government, the information about Kim's health is spotty.

Let's hope if he is ill that someone will replace him who isn't a long haired buffoon and will actually do well be the Korean people. This man has been a tragic joke for so long and has ruined his country. Having just returned from Seoul for 10 days one can see the total difference between the craziness of the North and the full prosperity in the south. Let's hope and pray that people of honesty and integrity can come to power there. Their best chance in decades.

It's about time - I hope he goes somewhere as pathetic as how he made his people live! He's a tyrant, and the sooner he's gone from the Earth the better.

Piza Pie - Well I can see all the 5'6 tough guys are out and about. Did you ever get that ladder to climb into your 4x4 pickup that you jacked up to make people think you were a big guy?

One less so called leader for Obama to sit down for a nice reasonable face to face, no pre-conditions chat with I guess. Talk about conspiracy theories, if all these two bit tin horn dictators Obama is so ready to meet with suddenly end up dead I guess it's no longer a campaign issue. Could this be the Clintons contribution to the cause? They are real good at having "problems" turn up dead.

Dear EOBFEOBF,
We'd love to have you over for a cup of tea.
Warm regards,

LOL "Clintons"....Or should I just save you the trouble and shoot myself in the head 10 times while commiting suicide by jumping twice off a tall building?

This is truly a sad for the World. I always had great admiration for Kim and desired to duplicate his policies here in America.
Posted by: Barry Soetoro | Sep 9, 2008 4:21:07 PM
I was looking forward to establishing a dialogue with this visionary leader. We need to make sure and put policies into place that will ensure the advances he made in domestic policy remains in force.

Hangin's too good for him!...Burnin's too good for him!... he aught to be torn into little bitty pieces! and buried alive!
Posted by: Irate | Sep 9, 2008 4:31:16 PM
Exactly right Joe. Kim is a man who knows how to run the levers of power and stay in office. I'll bet Hillarys supporters would have gone far if they protested outside a convention held by Kims party. Of course, I mean "far" in the most self interpretive of ways. If you mean "far" as in a trip across the country to a gulag to spend the short remaining rest of your life eating bugs and rifle butts while having assorted methods of "entertainment" carried out on your broken body by a bunch of fun loving guards, then you are probably pretty close. Yes, it's a real shame you and Obama will not get the chance to sit down face to face, without pre-condition, and reason with the gentleman to help him learn the error of his ways from your enlightened perspective.
