So - John McCain owns 2 cars, Cindy McCain owns 11. I find it interesting that Barack and Michelle Obama between them only own 1 car. How do they get around? Does Michelle Obama use public transportation all day? Somehow I don't see her waiting at bus stops. I saw Barack in a photo dropping off his children from a limousine at school. Does he lease vehicles? Why not tell the whole story, instead of skewing details to make it sound like John McCain is a car collector.

Biden gives one percent to charity and got his home on a sweetheart deal from Lobbyists who hired his son and he pushed a bill for the credit card companies.

This story is good for a mild chuckle, but I sincerely hope that no one votes or doesn't vote for either candidate because they own 13 cars, 1 car, or any number of cars. The only reason private ownership of cars, homes, or any other mundane material item should affect election outcomes is if it is discovered that the purchaser used public funds, election contributions, or other 'shady' means to acquire those items. I also sincerely hope that McCain's ownership of a few foreign cars isn't spun into a reason he shouldn't be elected. 'Buy American' is a nice slogan, and if the only difference between two products is the nationality of the selling company, then I will go with the American product. However, if there are more differences than that (and there always are), then a person should be allowed to buy what they want without having to worry that their Toyota 4-Runner might cost them an election later on.

I notice that Obama's vehicle is a hybrid made by Ford. That is one area that could realistically affect some people's votes. You know, the enviromental issue. Enviromentalists are so passionate about everybody 'going green' that they end up with tunnel vision. They can't see the forest for the trees. Whoever is elected can drive a Hummer for all I care, if they run the country skillfully and listen to the people that they represent in the White House.
